My best friend and me used to play this game with a few of our friends, she died of type one diabetes at the age of 21 years old. Every time I get on and create a new server or world, she gets a lighthouse built. This game is incredibly special, it's been years since we've lost her but her memory lives on. Minecraft is far more than a block game.
I had a minecraft friend that I missed for a long time (similar scale 4-5 years) and that I looked for and never found. One day, for some strange reason, I watch a young streamer playing a random PvP faction server and pressing tab while 3 players were online. I instantly recognized the username and got into a call with him for the first time in years. That felt nice
It's great to see this side of Mustard, not just an insanely cracked speedrunner (as I first knew him for) but a really great dude overall! But even that aside, this is still such a killer story to tell, rock on Kae!
It's honestly impressive to find a friend you've lost for so long, it's amazing how things like these can happen. Your story is amazing as well, someone you played with for a while and liked, separated by time, both made content on their own without ever recognizing eachother. It's wholesome and impressive at the same time. It's nice to see people who are separated reunite.
In some other peoples cases finding your old in-game friend is actually really hard. They could just not use Discord, Twitter or have a RUclips Channel base on their in-game name. Nonetheless this story is heartwarming!
(i don't know if anyone's gonna read this much) actually it's like my same situation and its been 2 years since we last played i don't know if he even remember me but he was actually my friend of 4 years we have played many smps together and i want to find him he doesn't use discord or any social media i have gone through 100s of smps to find him even waited for many time for him to actually join and i remember him too bad and we used to play in a server called club craft and i remember everything sharing how the day went about school etc watching the sunset and playing together and his jokes are so funny i couldn't stop my laugh and after my pc was taken away because of some relatives just telling my parents pc is not for kids i play 24/7 pc and not do anything i didn't meet him since i tried finding him through mobile but it was a java server so i couldn't i tried finding him through countless social medias hoping he would be there but he isn't and going through all of the old smps we played together, i couldn't find him his username is Kypis i don't think anyone here know him and one of our mutual best friend who also i tried but couldn't find is owerfull(his ingame name) and currently my biggest fear has become of never able to contact or meet a person you have shared moments with, just disappear

I had practically the same story, instead of just losing them however, they apparently were in the hospital. They were on the verge of death, and I was unaware of this. We met up through content creation. Their computer and data were destroyed from a house fire. (why he was in the hospital) In this time, I started content creation because Minecraft was getting boring. This made me have more fun with the game, therefore playing it more. I queued into a Bedwars game, and I could have sword I knew that name. I went down a rabbit hole, trying to find this person and when I searched on RUclips, things changed. Apparently, they had made a new account and named it practically the same. They had the same story as me, got bored of Minecraft, started making content. ❤ (I spent 10 mins writing this) 🔽

To look at light filtering through the leaves of a tree, or to speak with kind strangers on the sidewalk, it all makes life feel just a little less monotonous. Even though every person knows that these moments can’t last forever, that just makes them feel all the more precious. It makes life feel a little more precious. Yes, life can feel horrible sometimes, but after the dust has cleared, you see how beautiful existence is again. Sorry for that, the video got me contemplating life again. And that means that you’ve just earned a subscriber.

When the SMP closed we had no other way of contacting each other - but a couple of years later we both happened to be playing on this really obscure Minehut server with about four other players, and we were like... dude. What are the chances?
I also have a somewhat similar story, but on the receiving end! It was for a bit of an old mobile MMORPG that I played when I was like ten, and made friends with so many strangers online who also played the game. The community of that mmo has changed completely over the years and is definitely not as active nor friendly as it was before, but still remains one of my favorite RPGS. Of course, lost contact because silly kid things and account recreation for the sillies. However, at that age I also wrote stories and fanfiction based off of me and my friends’ real IGN’s. Cue sometime at the beginning of 2018, I hadn’t worked on those stories in years because I was literally a fifth grader when I wrote them, I got a comment on that silly little fanfiction. She talked about how years ago she kept a diary of her experiences playing an rpg game, and in some of those entries and memories were two players who were-coincidentally-the usernames of the two protagonists of my old story, and asked if one of those players were me. It’s crazy how big, yet so small the world is. I mean, what were the chances that people living on the complete opposite sides of the world (Me-United States and Her-Philippines) who had a few, short interactions in an old, dying game, could have found eachother again?
Ive had many of these moments before. I actually met someone on Thursday that went to my pre-school, and it was great to meet him again... I really think this is a great example of true friendship, and we have memories that stick around, and that we can come back to and enjoy. I enjoyed this video a lot, because I reminisced on all the great times I had with my friends.
man, honestly, looking for online friends you havent seen in years is a journey. it's one of three, you find them and you're completely different people and can barely get along now, you find them and its like they never left, or you dont find them, im glad it was the latter for me.

3 years ago, i had 2 online friends that i found while playing among us, we added each other and started a giant friend group. but after they broke up, they deleted their discord account along with the server, now the big friend group has parted 2 ways, till this day im still waiting for them to return, cuz that's what they promised. its nice to see people reunite with friends and family. thank you kae for the wholesome vid!

Honestly this made me wanna cry tbh, I love Minecraft because of the community. This game definitely has a special place in my heart. It genuinely reminds me of this discord server I used to be in where me and my two friends had decided to make a server realm (because they knew I was stuck playing on a phone, so stuck on bedrock) and honestly I have a lot of positive memories with them. Especially defeating the ender dragon for the first time. I'll never forget that tbh, and this video is a great reminder of it. I'm incredibly happy it appeared in my recommendations, and the fact youtube is actually recommending me smaller content creators makes me outrageously excited.
I even wrote lore and stuff for it. Called it the horizons smp at one point and frankly while it's inactive due to financial issues, I still have the realm. I'm super happy about it frankly.

This is absolutely amazing. Gives me a similar feel to how I found a friend on Roblox a few years back (I believe I saw him again in 2021) after not seeing him since 2009. We both thought it was surreal that either of us remembered each other. Especially since we weren't too far apart in age and I was only 8 at the time. Both of us were on newer accounts too so that makes it even weirder. My current username doesn't even slightly resemble my username from back then either, and neither does his. We just ended up adding each other on Roblox and Discord, then started talking and realised we used to play back in the early days together. Nothing is as awesome as recreating friendships that were lost for a long time.
Nice video, but part starting at 1:27 was little confusing, cuz I got confused was it old clip/video's sound/voice or voice over from video from right now. Maybe some effects like reverb would been nice for the old clip perhaps. Sorry if my English sucks >.

This made me cry… I’ve recently had a friend who’s been going through rough times. His grades are bad, he has trauma and constant nightmares, and struggles with drama online. We met in November of 2019. We played a lot! Like a lot! I then introduced him to one my friends. But in 2020 my friend ditched us and left a whole in his heart. In 2021 he had a friend and they started group called “ the colors “ it was a group with 3 people Him as yellow co-owner his friend as green the owner and I as an original. The group grows to over 30 people! But we stilled stayed in touch and were always there for each other. The group split in 2022 and is now with members but it wasn’t like what it used to be. He was more popular in the group then I, so it became a struggle to play with just each other alone. This year is when it was always me and him and 2 or 4 other people. We’d played together as much as we could because it was hard to not be in touch. We were apart each others life’s… his account gets banned. He makes a new one and all was well. He got logged out and created another new account. It being is to October. His mom is not doing well mentally and is now very strict. She had always been strict but not like this. We used have eachother on msg but his mom blocked me in February of 2023. He told me at somewhat of the beginning of November it would be his last day. For me it was 6:00 pm for him 7:00. I had to go to basketball practice and I was nervous to never to speak to him again. But he assured me his mom would let him play on the night of his birthday. I get home that night, I text him even though I’m not supposed to and he says “ She hasn’t gave a final answer “ and that’s the last I’ve ever heard.

Had something like this happen a bit ago, used to watch a RUclipsr known as "1milk" when I was around 9, for context he played roblox, jump a few years and I'm 17 and I still remember him vaguely and when I was in a discord call with my IRL friend Owen, we are playing a game on roblox and I check his friend's list randomly. I saw the name 1milk and started getting really confused and asking questing about how he knew him, he explained it was the 1milk and Owen's friend group , me and my friend Owen bonded on a different level ever since then.

This is absolutely amazing. Gives me a similar feel to how I found a friend on Roblox a few years back (I believe I saw him again in 2021) after not seeing him since 2009. We both thought it was surreal that either of us remembered each other. Especially since we weren't too far apart in age and I was only 8 at the time. Both of us were on newer accounts too so that makes it even weirder. My current username doesn't even slightly resemble my username from back then either, and neither does his. We just ended up adding each other on Roblox and Discord, then started talking and realised we used to play back in the early days together. Nothing is as awesome as recreating friendships that were lost for a long time.

Nice video, but part starting at 1:27 was little confusing, cuz I got confused was it old clip/video's sound/voice or voice over from video from right now.
Maybe some effects like reverb would been nice for the old clip perhaps.

This made me smile so much. I met a friend I made in MC 5 years ago in my high school last week and so I know how it feels to reunite with a friend.

This made me cry… I’ve recently had a friend who’s been going through rough times. His grades are bad, he has trauma and constant nightmares, and struggles with drama online. We met in November of 2019. We played a lot! Like a lot! I then introduced him to one my friends. But in 2020 my friend ditched us and left a whole in his heart. In 2021 he had a friend and they started group called “ the colors “ it was a group with 3 people Him as yellow co-owner his friend as green the owner and I as an original. The group grows to over 30 people! But we stilled stayed in touch and were always there for each other. The group split in 2022 and is now with members but it wasn’t like what it used to be. He was more popular in the group then I, so it became a struggle to play with just each other alone. This year is when it was always me and him and 2 or 4 other people. We’d played together as much as we could because it was hard to not be in touch. We were apart each others life’s… his account gets banned. He makes a new one and all was well. He got logged out and created another new account. It being is to October. His mom is not doing well mentally and is now very strict. She had always been strict but not like this. We used have eachother on msg but his mom blocked me in February of 2023. He told me at somewhat of the beginning of November it would be his last day. For me it was 6:00 pm for him 7:00. I had to go to basketball practice and I was nervous to never to speak to him again. But he assured me his mom would let him play on the night of his birthday. I get home that night, I text him even though I’m not supposed to and he says “ She hasn’t gave a final answer “ and that’s the last I’ve ever heard.

Had something like this happen a bit ago, used to watch a RUclipsr known as "1milk" when I was around 9, for context he played roblox, jump a few years and I'm 17 and I still remember him vaguely and when I was in a discord call with my IRL friend Owen, we are playing a game on roblox and I check his friend's list randomly. I saw the name 1milk and started getting really confused and asking questing about how he knew him, he explained it was the 1milk and Owen's friend group , me and my friend Owen bonded on a different level ever since then.
