    It’s a lot of sheet metal work but you could build a new floor over top of the floor you have now. Then you would have a level smooth floor both in front and back. The pedals can be shortened to accommodate the higher floor. It will cause your roll cage to be that much higher but it will look so much cleaner than a bunch of caps sticking up covering links. Otherwise your foot will keep getting caught or at least be very uncomfortable. It’s looking great so far. It really has a great stance to it.

      Good point. That’s definitely an option for sure. I’m really worried about that top 3rd link. I might end up moving it to the passenger side. But I’m definitely liking the look of it right now. Would be nice to get it a couple more inches lower. But I think I’m within the ballpark!

    Someone makes a big clearance body mount that welds on in place of the factory mounts. And I think it gives you about a one inch body lift without using the pucks. I think Barnes is the company that makes the mount but I'm not positive. Probably would be a better alternative than modifying the floor near the gas pedal.

      Thanks. I’ll have to check those out. And that’s what I’m thinking too. I also might move that top link over on the passenger side. Lots of different options still.

    My Drivers' side floor is very similar. I had to make clearance for my drive shaft there, I think you'll be ok.

      Good to know. I’m hoping it will be fine too. But probably won’t know for sure till I get seats.

    So technically, this is a TJ-6, correct? LJ would have some additional length behind the wheel well, and the wheel base is longer than an LJ. When my project Brutlity is done, making my TJ into a TJ-6 is the next mission.

    • @Ohio_offroad_adventures
      @Ohio_offroad_adventures  5 месяцев назад

      Yes sir. It’s technically a TJ-6. Or a stretch TJ to LJ body length. 😂. And this has been a fun project so far. Hopefully you have fun when you get to yours!
