    In chess some say the best form of defence is attack. The same can be true for this... defence is reaction, offense is action. So go on the offensive when it comes to who you want to be. Don't just react.
    I used to love reading about the ancient masters in temples. They were so in control of their emotions, their thoughts and their lives that they always came across as completely calm and at ease. When I talk about "the master" in this video, it's about mastering your brain and body, not others. An animal will just react and be what it is. That's fine. But as humans our potential is much greater, we can't rely on primitive instinct if we want to be our best.
    The idea is to master your actions to the point they become your default reactions... through repetition you can change your thoughts and emotions to what they should be, so as said, take a step back, really think about what the best version of you would do, then keep repeating that. The master acts, the animal reacts. And later, the master just reacts too before finding a new act.

      im the army here, they teach you about feeling cold. i always remember when im feeling cold. " i FIND it cold, but i dont want to feel cold for now, i force imagine myself that its not THAT cold." i change the emotion connected to feeling cold, make the meaning of cold something completely diffetent. i do the same thing for pain. but thats dangerous, for me anyways - almost lost my left lower leg in BMXing, the pedal cut into my shin exposing the bone. bleeding like crazy, just two inch cut, i put a damn bandaid over it - week later it still hurt, doc desinfected and said, one week later, it could have infect and those infections spread like fire, i could have lost lower leg man. So apply accordingly and with caution. be smart :)

    These past few days I've been finally climbing out of a very very long rut and gaining back my motivation to live essentially. With each day as I tried to be the best version of myself, there was something that would try and kick me back down but I decided to keep pushing on because I need to. Then tonight (or technically this morning) I got pulled over for going 60mph on a 50mph road. The cop pulled me over just to see if I was "okay". He was understanding and didn't write me up for speeding, but I only had a permit so he had to write a citation for that. He let me drive back home but it still fucked with my head. Leading to that self degrading train of thought again. Thinking that I can't catch a break and wallowing in self pity. But after browsing youtube for the past hour I'm really glad I found this video. Of all things i've watched recently this video inspired me the most. I'm going to continue on the path of acting instead of reacting and finally truly pursue the best version of myself and not let adversity get to me . Thx Rocket Jump Ninja I really do appreciate it.

    Another piece of advice, both for gaming and real life:
    You'll come across a lot of things in life or in-game that you can't control, whether it be a hectic work schedule/obligations or shitty teammates and unbalances in a game. So instead of complaining about those uncontrollable elements and devoting entirely too much energy to moot points, focus on the one thing you CAN always change and improve: yourself.

      @SquarelyGames 5 лет назад +3

      That is shit advice though. Well, for most with an average life it might be good, but bad for others. Well, the last part at least. Had you said the same thing to someone in a war situation, they would have told you to fuck off. Or a person in an abusive relationship. Some of these people can change by changing the situation by moving for example, sometimes that is just not possible. Complaining can help, if you do it in order to try to change the environment. The way you phrased it can make it seem like it is all on just the person or the mindset when we often overstate people's ability for free will.
      I don't think you meant the advice in that way though. 12 step method, a great method for addicts to get rid of the addiction got a beautiful saying that I think phrases what you are trying to say in a better way.
      “Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”

      Also with the gaming part of it, but also life in general, many times you can get frustrated at one thing, and then more and more things just easily piss you off more, and it keeps going until you finally just walk away or realize there is another way.

      The hardest part is to realise, notice or even try to get a grip on something you really want to do. For some people it comes naturally, for some it takes years to realise what they really want to do. I have tried many different jobs like nursing, youthwork, business, personal training, marketing, engineering and still I have no fucking clue what I want to do rest of my life. I wanted to join army, but I got told my eye sight is bad and theres no fix for that. Im just an example, not trying to be edgy or anything.
      The point is that its OK if you dont find the thing u want to do, but its not OK to lay down and to be a "burden" for society we live in and get mentally passive, when theres a way to improve yourself and keep your mind and body healty.

    • @arete7884
      @arete7884 5 лет назад

      @@RulezXP you're cucked by society egregore telling you must serve or feel guilt otherwise , we need more being/ passive living in balance with doing thats why u cant find your outer purpose because u havent spent enough time on inner one.

    • @RulezXP
      @RulezXP 5 лет назад

      @@arete7884 and no wisdom brings solace. I just do what goverment wants me to do and then do what I like the most but dont want it to come a job, sports and videogames.
      Why I give advice to not become a burden for society is to prevent bad economics for goverment, what needs to put millions of euros/dollars for mental healtcare, while people can prevent getting mental problems, if their childhood weren't fucked up by bad parents.
      And self's inner purpose is everyone's own business in the end when outter is what society and your surroundings wait from you. You can change outter purpose whit switching from society to another or even move from city to countryside, if you want it to change it that way. Just an example.

    Live in the moment. The single piece of advice to help you live a stress free life. Realise stress and anxiety is just a reaction to certain situations. Exactly the same as how we get hungry. Face your stress and anxiety. Realise it is only a construct. The perfect mind is already there, behind all the delusion. Break through the wall. Let go and live your life. I'd say live it spontaneously. Just do. Just be.

    Thank you zy for making a video on this, it is hard to put into words but its true, how people play, talk and behave whilsts gaming is very indicative of how people approach life, i noticed it the most in my years that i played destiny 1, so many people literally spent thousands of hours playing it and were crap at playing it... because of how they approached it, they would read/watch guides to do every raid/activity without understanding or ever trying to figure it out themselves, they would get carried through raids, they would cheese and use every exploit to get items, they would constantly hate on everything bad about the game and blame bungie, or the servers, or weapon nerfs and sounded so miserable playing it! And the truth is... most of the people i played with... were losers in life ... great guys to play with but they were absolutely held back by their attitude to things and often were overcome by their emotions and they never improved.... So yeah good on you zy for making this video, i hope it helps people to self reflect and think about themselves a bit.

    • @RocketJumpNinja

      Assuming it's a 200 health 100 armour server, just try to do 300 damage. Teams are even, it's 1 for 1. As long as you can deal 300 damage per round, you've helped your team enough. And an easy to do that is find an enemy at the start (that isn't surrounded by others) and just shoot rockets at their feet.
      Or you can play it safe by grouping up with your team mates and then spamming doorways with rockets and grenades, basically blocking the attackers from that direction so your team mates can focus on the other doorways.
      You have 10 seconds to position yourself and figure out where people are before each round starts.

But, when Im in the game, in real life, in the moment that I want to change, I only am my feelings, and to express something different feels fake, feels wrong. I've struggled with avoidant personality disorder (I avoid conflicts, and my true feelings), because I've experienced a lot of adversity when being myself; especially when being the bad parts obviously. The only true course for me, feels like being myself at every turn, and learning from the experience, whatever happens. But it's hard man. So hard.

      Act intead of react also works for improving, not realy your aim directly, but your hit count still. Always be thinking on step ahead of your opponents, knowing where they are even if you don't see / hear them makes you prepared for them. It makes you know where to shoot and when, so that sometimes, you don't even have to aim to get the hit.
      That's overly underated at mdium / low level of gameplay, yet it litteraly makes the difference between let's say a supreme to a GE in CSGO, and is evenly important to master as aiming in an FPS.
      Don't know if that's what you were hoping for but I tried :D

    the sad thing tho is that money is the root of all evil. There are many things i want to do and change but can't afford to. Thus getting stuck in jobs that are not enjoyable at times and have rough it out.

    I would be curious to see what your Kovaak's Aim Trainer scores would be on some of the most popular scenarios... You'd probably blow away the averages, and who knows might have a few top 1% high scores? I think it'd make great content for a video for your channel too. If I'd love to see it, I'm sure some of your other fans would too!

    i would do both depending on the situation, if the glitch is completely game breaking to the point where you cannot win no matter what happened of course i would complain about it, everyone would

    there is no reason to not support this channel. You have a great head on your shoulders and like that you are trying to help others to improve themselves. I already got my forever mouse thanks to you (mm711) but i still watch your reviews just to show some love. I really want to help your channel even more so if I may id like to offer some info to you. I'm a personal trainer and I know a thing or two about dealing with tendinitis and gamer related hand and elbow injuries and I think you should maybe take it more into consideration when reviewing and recommending mice for people more prone to or trying to avoid such injuries. Could even be a video idea, I would love to see you do a vid on it. If its possible to pm you some how I could talk to you about all the research I've done. Hope you and everyone else has a wonderful holiday and new years. take it easy out there!
