Too late when I saw this video. Same signs and symptoms and I did change my alternator. Took me 4 hrs to change my alternator (1995 LS400) but still lights are not working and some electrical. Frustrated until I saw this video and checked my fuse... boom it was blown fuse. Thank you sir.
Dude you saved me a ton of heart ache like you wouldn't believe my 1998 Lexus ls400 did the same thing wen I changed my alternator and I was about to take it to the shop and saw this video and was like aon of a B***h that's what's wrong with my car. Many Many Thanks for the video. You Da Man !!!!! "Bless"👍
Fkin shyt. I should have read this . Same scenario with my LS400 1995. Electrical lights are out but can start. Changed my alternator and same problem and I hated that Serpentine belt took me 2 hrs to put it back. Until I saw this video. I just wasted my whole day. THanks
Thanks for the video, but what caused this to happen? Kind of the same issue to my gs430. No power door locks, window lock, some interior lights dont work, alarm and dashboard flicking. Last week before it rained i changed my headlight bulb and forgot to put the covers on. Perhaps water went in it?! Help pls
Thanks for the video I had the same problem with my GS400 change the alternator and the battery and still had the same issue. Come to find out it was the alternator fuse thanks again for the 💪
Here I am 3 years later my car tripped out this morning and I just finish changing the alternator when I looked and seen the 120 amp alternator fuse was blown 😅 1998 gs400
Ouch,,,,, I just pulled the battery and cut a wedge out of the fuse box on both sides to access the 8 and 10mm then glued a piece of plastic on both sides to cover it up. cant even tell I was there,,, Good info for guys who dont know those bolts are hiding down there,,👍
Sitting in my 2006 LS430 as I type, frustrated as hell. Replaced battery with a new one, went through all the fuses with a digital multimeter, replaced a melted one, but still no lights on console or gauge cluster. Can't shift out of park. Thanks a million, bro!
Hey bro I got a gs300 with these same symptoms The alt is good but still isn’t charging. Just curious what exact symptoms you had because my whole dash is out as well as windows and tranny lock
It was an accident, don't mind the feds they owns me in school for electrical engineering. Closed down the cop shop and took care of practically useless thingies. He knows code, so he jams me like a cookie.

MEGA helpful vid thanx for the quick concise solution🙏👍
What direction did you put the fuse back in for it to work? It can go in either direction.
It's universal it doesn't matter

Hey man did you fix the issue I’m having the same thing?? Thanks
@@BearBear11223 Yes. It was one of the big fusible links. You have to unbolt the tray to access it, then bolt the fuse on. Just like in the video.
Great Video Dude. I have the same problem. I am going to try that out. I own a 1999 Lexus GS 300. Same problems like to. Thank man.
This is exactly what it was. Thanks
How did you remove the fuse
Not sure if you ever got the answer, but they're all bolted down. You have to unscrew them
Do you happen to know the part # for that fuse/relay?
You just saved my GS300
Thanks for watching

@@BearBear11223 same bro lmk
Thanks for the video!
Thx friend!
Do you think the 200amp alternator I put in blew my fuse? Lol or would that not affect it
I got both a new battery and alternator... Yet the red battery light is on my dashboard. Would it be the alternator fuse or something else??
Honestly I have no idea I'm not a mechanic. Good luck though
What was it?
Key Fob battery?
U the goat
You're a fucking legend!
THANKS G
thank you fuckin needed this
Life saver

What size bolt is the power line?
I think its 10mm I can't really remember.
@@Directioncyop Bet! Got that part. Having a hard time with the clamps trying to get it to move
@2:50 you mentioned "GROUND" bolt. That's not a ground , it's "positive"
Didn’t even show the process
