I want to say thank you for acknowledging the perspectives of the sub or "trade partner."

You just blueprinted every successful project, and construction company or trade partner in under 10 minutes.

Most of the problems I see are the GCs not paying on time or messing with the subs money. Every job I have been on that slows to a crawl was because the GC wasn't paying on time. Slow or Late payers are at the bottom of my list - they have the money for 100k F250 platinums or golf outing , but no money to pay on time. I pay everyone who works for me the day they are done - 14 days and 28 days - I want people to pick up the phone when I call.

Unfortunately I agree. They treat me the same way as a consultant.

It’s important to remember that most contracts are written “ payed when payed” if the owner holds payments the GC has no choice

I always tell new subs right up front, Respect others subs work, if you have any issues bring them to my attention immediately, respect the cuto.ers space and personnel, clean your work are and take your debris regularly.
