I'm an old guy, so I remember Glenn Miller and his music very well and loved it. And you two beautiful professionals make it come to life. I love your videos.
steph&Paolo ..thanks for keeping these oldies going. I lost my teaching position in the older adult program about about decade ago where I played and sang this rep on whatever piano they had plus setting my keyboard up on top ....using these huge fake books. also played ragtime, swing, boogie, stride, fats, erroll, dozens of others, thanks for your great style. CHEERS!
Two weeks before my father passed away (at 90+) he had a stroke and essentially lost his ability to speak. We took a CD with Glenn Miller works and played the record for him. When it came to Moonlight Serenade he said "Good music". Those were his two last words - five days later he was gone. We then had a professional flutist who played Moonlight Serenade during his funeral. It was eight years ago but is still a very emotional memory. Thank You once more for what You are doing.
Sonja Henie was the "at"girl during that time in Hollywood. She was a great skater and starred in this era of winter sports. She is still the record holder of gold metals in the WInter Olympics.Great music
Dear Stephanie and Paolo,,I just had to put a comment here, to thank you for your latest "at home" performances(still treble to the left ,bass to the right!!).Your rendering of Moonlight Serenade and It Happened in Sun Valley ,are splendid, especially the vaguely mournful Moonlight Serenade, redolent of those fabulous days of Miller at the height of his fame and wistful reminder of what night have been , had it not been for Dec. 15th,1944. Just beautiful! Thank you so much,as ever ! Richard Clegg.
You took the Moonlight Serenade into a different harmonic style, made it to your own composition. Unusual, but lovely. Again, great Performance. Thank you my dear Dreamcouple.
Yes, a great arrangement of both Miller tunes. It was nice to hear Moonlight Serenade played differently than it usually is. As the band's theme, it was seldom played in full on the band's radio shows.
Such a delight, you Two are. Love Miller's compositions and to hear you playing them ... takes my breath away. Much much thanks for your hard work and enjoyment of your playing.
Thanks!! Glen Miller was my favorite when I used to play my parents' old records back in the 1960s. I've *really gotta* (finally) look up sheet music for *Moonlight Serenade* now that I have their old grand piano (well, actually mine 'cause I was the only one who ever played it.)
Spent about an hour watching and listening to your awesome piano playing. Have you ever covered ;Canon Rock? My favourite piece, I think you guys would nail it. Wishful thinking. Love your music
Another excellent arrangement. I play the euphonium, and I do another song from "Sun Valley Serenade ("I Know Why and So Do You") as a solo with a karaoke track. I love it that you play from memory (as do most great piano soloists). It irks me that many of my fellow euphers perform with their noses stuck in a music stand, as I myself have done many time. I've been trying to get away from that and just stand there and communicate with the listeners. Well done, again (as if you guys ever do it any way but well).
Thank you Stephanie and Paolo! Whenever I think you can’t get any better, you elevate your videos to a new level! These Glenn Miler tunes are great, but your arrangements make them seem fresh and new, as though I was hearing them for the first time.
Easily the best piano four hand on the planet. So seamlessly harmonious blending and musical dialog, there just is no other musical ensemble like it.
Had Glen Miller heard this rendition I’m absolutely sure he would have loved it. Very well done, thank you.

Thank you so much for sharing this touching memory about your father, Bjorn. ❤️ It's incredible how music can arrive so deeply to the heart.

Successfully envisioned Paolo , and wonderfully played by you both 😍
Thank you very much! 😊
Muito bom o arranjo de vocês para estas músicas.
Did you play this slightly off in the first section? It created a lovely tension.
Yes, Paolo had fun reharmonizing some parts of Moonlight Serenade! Glad you liked it!
@@StephanieTrickPaoloAlderighi It created a sad mood that was resolved in the happy mood that followed in the next tune.
Sorry Paolo this time is not my cup of tea .
