im doing 1-2 accumulator lower springs delete, and fluid change. Quicker 1-2 shift but dont have time or money for all jmod parts rn but thats the plan in future. Pretty helpful tutorial and i can see where the 1-2 accumulator is now
I am pretty sure you have a drain plug on the torque converter on that transmission so you should have been able to drain most of the old fluid. I have a 95 Grand Marquis and I could on mine.
I'm at the point of letting it drip. I have the pan off and emptied and thought I'd watch a video on this for this car. I've done this on a 1995 Olds 88 and a 1999 Buick LeSabre. Same principle, slight differences. :-) In both the other cars I've just mentioned they had the same type of seals as what you're using. I was able to clean the old ones and use them, there's been no leaks. The Olds I still own and the Buick is my Mother's car so I'd know if it were leaking. They are good seals. Thank you.
So I have a 1999 grand marquis LS and I have a major leak looks like from the front passenger side and I want your opinion I want to repair it myself what is the best way to repair the seal. Let me know if you think this would fix my problem for now. Budget is tight
Did you use the whole 5 quarts? I have a 95 LX and I’m gonna do a full tune up and change trans fluid and rear differential fluid and the basic oil, and the 3 filter (oil, fuel, air) and change plugs, wires and ignition coils as well
Just purchased a 1996 for 1k and i expected problems with it and when it drives it slipps in every gear and when shifting into drive/rev it takes a second for the car to actualy go into gear
Thanks for sharing. Will be doing this on my 97 Crown Vic this weekend
Good luck! Hope all goes smoothly.

thank you very much good sir.
Thank you for the great feedback.
Can anyone tell me the correct procedure afther all the transmission fluid is completely out cant seem to find the crrect procedure on google
how many liters does it take?

Not a bad find at all . Most likely needs rebuilt unless a flush can help. Anyways best of luck with your project . Thanks for the feedback.
I can’t find the dipstick for the life of me does it have one for the transmission?
It should be on the passenger side near the fire wall. It is tricky to spot , and almost seems like there is not one at first. Thanks for watching.
Supertech is the cheapest crap atf you can buy.
