A Philosophical Phenom, The absolute of motivation. You mentioned thoughts being separated from our consciousness or we can distinguish and decide whether or not to follow through with these emotions and thoughts, do you think introspection is and ideal way to deal with certain “things” (issues) regarding our mind? soul? spirit? and every other word to describe “thinking” HAHAHA WE WANT MORE!
In my opinion, just a disclaimer I don't really know much because I just read books so I haven't been able to put anything into practice and there are better people equipped to answer these questions. I think introspection is useful to a certain extent. It allows us to train the thinking and catch the subconscious mind when it does surface, when emotions rile up, etc. I think one can train it and develop and try and control that thinking, I like the elephant/horse and the rider metaphor to describe us trying to control human nature, and again meditation should aid that as well.
Nice to see you explain your art, just wonder what is purpose even exactly noh? Like what makes something fulfilling for someone? Does it really just boil down to the three: having fun, being good at it and making an impact to others? What if the things you like never get to check all of those marks? What if it takes you too long to find the right purpose? And When is it too late to strive for your purpose?
Disclaimer: I don't really know much because I just read books so I haven't been able to put anything into practice and there are better people equipped to answer these questions. Thats exactly it, it varies from person to person, what one would find fulfilling. You could look to the stories of Coco Chanel where she tried to chase her dreams but was always chasing until she found something that fulfilled her desires. I believe it stems from what we want as children and we have only some control over those desires. So I think it would just vary person to person and trying to fulfill or address that need or want we had as children. I don't think it time matters when you are looking for your purpose, I believe if you can dedicate your life to something, it can be considered your purpose. It would also change as we change as people in the moment but always chasing desires and finding fulfillment in doing so. I think the Polgar sisters is also an interesting case study with regards to finding purpose.
