I have mentioned this before, but I work at Dollar General, and our $1 section has tons of cleaners, including the ones you mentioned... for $1, plus tax making them $1.06..... and our party area has tissue paper for a Dollar, bags for a dollar..... tons of Dollar items through out the store. Personal care items in name brands, 6 different color toothbrushes for 1 dollar...... tons of Dollar items, cheaper then Dollar tree.
I've noticed this at my local DG and am shopping there a bit more often. Lots of great dollar finds that are now $1.25 at DT.
I prefer Dollar General because of the reasons you mentioned above!
Yup, I love dollar general .
@@bmjesus08 I don’t think dollar general is in Canada if it is please let me know
@@Aliviaw I don't know , sorry
I totally agree about a paper calendar!! Something about manually writing things down that helps me remember better!!
While multi-packs of products like Dove Soap are usually going to cost less per bar, being able to get just one at Dollartree means you can try the product and test it over time to see if you like it or have any allergy or irritation responses before spending more on multiples.
💯
This is also good for when you’re really budgeting and have $1.25, but could better use the extra money, elsewhere.
@@eskennedy5 Yes! If there are several things you need that day or week and your budget is limited, being able to get smaller sizes or singles actually makes it possible to get everything you need when you need it, even if the 'price-per-unit' is more expensive than if you bought those items in larger sizes.
Not everybody can afford or finance buying in bulk, and not everybody has good storage space or chest freezers. More people these days live alone, so having more products available in smaller sizes and quantities makes a lot of sense, and can ultimately be less expensive in cases where larger sizes and quantities end up not being used or going bad before they can be finished.
Individual soaps are also good for small storage areas. Hubs and I are retired and have a lovely but teensy retirement house. NO STORAGE!!!
Single bars of Dove or Olay would be great. Also liked your thought about checking out different stores for a better selection. Thx!
Oh another cool hack for hanging ball caps - get a broom handle from the $ tree along w/ shower curtain rings, place rings on shower curtain & each ring will hold a cap/hat
YES!! Me- Paper and Pen! You found great items!!
I'm a fan of the sticky hooks.
I used them with the shower curtain liners to cover my windows. Those liners helped keep my apartment nice and warm during the deep freeze from last week!
Ok I have a hack for those organizers for you: position one vertically. Put another on top of the first horizontally, almost like you are making the capital letter T. Now use a couple of long zip ties to lash them together through the holes in the sides. The bottom will have about half of it covered up, but I use mine for washcloths so that doesn’t matter to me. Would also be perfect for pads or tampons, extra tubes of toothpaste, etc. Then the top one can still hold whatever you want. Makes use of vertical space.
I love a good Dollar Tree video! Be careful with those wanna be Command hooks. They will take off paint and more when removing them.
They sure do!
As a South African I am low key jealous of the states for having stores like Dollar tree. The things they sell in these stores a freaken awesome. Wish we had a store like that here.
Come visit USA 🎉
@@bunnyfriends3121 its super expensive to fly from here to the states. I will have to have $5000 budget to cover everything. The flight alone is $1000. 1 day I will get there
You could shop dollar tree online
👋🇿🇦nicolene I agree I wish we had such a store in 🇿🇦 and some off their granola and protein bars. Seems much better than ours.
@@maryhittle9365 online orders are sent to your local store and you pick up your order there.
the brave little toaster led lamps came in handy for us in the freeze of 2021... I had bought enough for each room of the house... they are really bright and when you have no electricity they work amazing
Thank you SO MUCH for mentioning the long organisers! I found them as well as some other sizes & completely redid my (large) utility drawer - now I can see/find everything & it’s all sorted according to type! Thanks again!!
You are so welcome!
LMAO. Love the lamp. I read late at night too. Love your sense of humor also. 😃 Thank you for sharing. 🥰🌸
One of my indispensable calendar ideas is to grab a smallish one from Dollar Tree and keep it on the fridge. I put all the meat and dairy expiration dates on it and it helps make sure everything is used up before it goes bad.
You're right about the selection differences at each store. The store by me has a ton of the storage items and baskets. Another store a little further away has hardly any storage items.
Those veggie storage containers are awesome. I use them for mushrooms, grapes and cherry tomatoes. I usually put a small piece of paper towel in the bottom to absorb any moisture. Keeps them fresh for at least a week. 👍🇨🇦
You had me laughing about the veggie/fruit storage containers….. I still shop at Costco and Sam’s ( have teens in and out, at times other kids too). I also help shop meal plan and prep for my elderly parents…… my Dad was so worried I brought berries over and left that container in their fridge! Haha I bought it when it was $1…. Even at $1.25 it is well worth and pays for itself many times over! Also a great way to share and gift food too! I use them for sharing small garden tomatoes with neighbors too…. They bring them back to get replenish during the season…. ❤️
I used to buy the dollar tree cards all the time, but now that I've gotten into watercolor I make my own cards.
Love that white tissue paper with the gold hearts!!!! Would be an awesome anniversary wrapping.
My favorite item was the mini light. I have a larger version and love it. Next favorite item were the fruit containers. Thank you!
I make my own popcorn and never buy the store microwave kind anymore but my one exception to junk popcorn is that dollar tree stuff in the bag! I don't even read the label cuz I don't care, it's so good! I buy it to treat my hubby cuz he loves it too!
True story; I was just at our local dollar store and I lined up to buy a PBS Daniel Tiger video for my granddaughter. Wonderful price! The cashier burst out laughing and said, "You've got to be kidding me! ". Then she asked for my ID. I'm 60 yrs old. With silver hair. She had to put my birthday into the register for me to buy Daniel Tiger. 🤣🤯😳
😂
I used to work at dollar general, and some of the movies that would bring up the birthdate screen were baffling 😅
I did not need this video! I'm not spending money this month, other than on bills and food. I'll hit up Dollar Tree February 1st to see if I can still get some of these great deals! Thanks as always Christine and Hailey!
Same!!!
Same
The Brim's popcorn is an absolute staple in my house. Just for me. And I go through 2 bags a week. I'm a popcorn addict and I appreciate that every piece is buttery.
I have s9me of that the best popcorn ever
Paper and pen the best I Agree!!! Love dollar tree and all your shopping videos
Thank you for the method dupe. We tried it after you mentioned it from a previous vid and love it!
January birthdays are the best! Me, mom, dad, sister, grandpa, grandma!
I just turned 23 and want to devote myself into becoming a millionaire by 30, I already have 80k saved, 65k lump sum following the death of my father and 15k in personal savings. So far ive come across dropshipping, stocks, and real estate as the most popular means of doing so but i was wondering if any of you guys had other suggestions, at this stage im just trying to learn about the most viable ways of achieving success within 10 years
THE REAL WEALTH WILL ALWAYS BE LAND,GOLD,NATURAL RESOURCES. THATS IT
I have been telling myself for years to do what is necessary: open a brokerage account, buy ETFs or whatever, just play it safe. My last five or six New Year's resolutions have included this. However, I can't force myself to do it, for some reason. I think it's time to admit that I'll never be the smart, thrifty, DIY investor like all millennials are supposed to be.
As a January baby myself I appreciate that you do something nice for your kids birthdays ❤January birthdays are tough !
Try 28th, 29th and 31st of December! We get screwed!
@@missingutah you would think an August baby like me wouldn't get screwed.....but my birthday is at the end of August, right when school is starting.....so my birthday present was school clothes 😂
@@tarheelhurricanegirl9991 , autumn color clothes are so pretty! Fall is my favorite season. Good way to start school... With you're best foot forward!
I was thinking the same thing. Us January babies get no love 😄
@@keshiaknows , right? Everyone is sick of holidays, no one wants to go out in the cold... I think we should start giving ourselves a sunny, warm weather vaca instead
I'm actually doing my 6 week run through today at Dollar Tree and Dollar General. I pick up items for my prepper pantry stash. They carry my favorite Goya canned beans and i also need to get a couple of calendars! Thanks for the reminder!
Love this video. I bought 4 dollar tree lamps for gifts! They are fabulous.
I love your videos! You bring such a positive, fun vibe to your videos. You have helpful hints that are practical and you present them with such positive enthusiasm. I never regret taking the time watch your channel.
In Canada, our Dollar Tree raised all their prices to $1.50.
If you really like that little chalkboard easel but don't like how that chalk looks on it - the craft section has chalk markers that you will love instead! Heather xo
My Dollar Tree didn't have a clearance sale on holiday items after Christmas. I was told that all the stuff had been put "in the back" until next year. So bummed!
That sucks 😕
that probably means the dumpster unfortunately
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS!!! Yes, I am screaming for that, the best show on tv. I must check my local Dollar Tree for this.
You can sometimes find the blank cards in an 8 or 10 pack, so keep an eye out. Also, the big Crystal Geyser bottled water is $1.68 at my Walmart- exact same size and brand you can get at DT for $1.25.
My favorite find was the lamp. It’s perfect for adding some extra light when I’m doing my nails.
Your daughter had me rolling by peeking in.😂 I have a teenage daughter and she is goofy too. She added a little something funny to your video. I love seeing you with your kids❤
Yeah I like the Cherry Coke if your Dollar tree has it it's definitely worth stocking up on
Dude I'm totally going to try that awesome shower spray
Our local Dollar Tree and Family Dollar are in the same store. I like to call it the “Family Tree”.
Using those hooks for hats!…..I love you!!
Fun Fact: For any of your viewers who live in Mexico, the Prichos store (usually comes inside Bodega Aurrera or Walmart) is a mini-Dollar Tree. I literally bought the same calendar that she showed a few days ago in Mexico City.
Ha ha ha
The glass cleaning kit screwdrivers work great for the dollartree string lights.
I was trying to avoid Dollar Tree for a few weeks, but, see now I'm going to have to make that run to check out what they have right now. I have 3 near me and 1 a little further out and they all have different set ups. I think I can hit up 2 of them this week lol.
I'm laughing now as I look over at my office bookcase and my eyes go right to the exact two baskets you showed. Those are the best baskets they have there! I bought these several years ago and have used them in various spots.
Oh, and thanks for the reminder to go get some cards! I just volunteered to send my brother-in-law's mom a card monthly. She's in assisted care and just loves getting mail.
As an employee, stores have no control over product selection or inventory. We are only told 30 boxes of Health & Beauty on truck.
Great buys! Now I have to go to Dollar Tree!
Love the lamp as a puzzel lamp 🔦 😍
I love dollar tree. They have square glasses that's perfect for my arthritis hands.
Fun trip! The clip of Shannon and her eye exercises was a hoot! 🤣🤣🤣
I'm impressed with how much stuff you have in your Dollar Tree. I'm in Missoula Montana and the shelves are mostly bare. Our store is a joke.
Ours is a joke too. (2 near me in Utah). Nothing too impressive in either one.
Kt tape on the back of your heal when you have new shoes are life savers no blasters
I was told by someone once,if you want to cut down on soap scum in the shower don’t use bar soap. 🤷♀️worked!
Hung one of those command strips up for Christmas and it’s now apart of our daily decor 😅 I can’t get the darn thing off 😂
You can add a bit of heat with a hair dryer. It will come right off.
I love the strawberry lemonade packets in my water too
I bought that little light for my husband. It works Great! He uses it everyday! Great buy!
Brave Little Toaster!!!! Yasss!
Last year I found a great after Christmas holiday deal. Small containers of jellies, jams were reduced to $.25 ! I bought several ! I do not purchase jellies and jams as I usually take bruised fruit before it spoils and boil into a fruit spread. So, the little jars were a real treat
I almost had a Heart Attack when I made a last minute run to one of my fav dollar trees Christmas Eve!!! They were stocking shelves with gardening containers, decor yard stuff AND had already started with Valentines inventory! BUT WAIT!!!! On the 26th, I was in another fav DT and they had EASTER out! 🫨🤯🙄😳
My favorite stuff I love it I love that that awesome brand that is my favorite brand. I use it all the time.
Thank you for these excellent tips, they are greatly appreciated
You became one of my favorite ladies on RUclips so quick:.. ❤
Dawn and microfiber towel is all we use on all our eye glasses.
I love the Zeiss lens wipes. I buy them at Sam's Club in boxes of 200 & carry them with me everywhere. They are great for cleaning phone screens.
Thanks for the fab vid, funny‼️
$Tree is a bit random, if a thing is there that your looking for grab it now cuz it won’t necessarily be there next time you come by. In the food isle, I get the pink salt. Also the White Cheddar popcorn in a blue foil bag, but be sure to check the stock for the best expiration date. 🙋🏼♀️
OH MY GOSH! My kids used to want to go to all the bathrooms all. of. the. time. It drove me bonkers!
I love going to DT for so many things. I bought stocking stuffers there for Christmas, those little planners were in the kids stockings. I buy the display boards for making displays in the Nature Center I work at in the summer, I love the craft area. Thanks for sharing.
Dollar Store has such amazing things I need to be able to get to one very soon. We have so many around us and like you said you have to check each of them out for some carries items at one place that the other one doesn't
I love these. videos I'm glad I found this channel. I actually started saving a little
Great to hear!
Thank you for donating to your crisis center! I work at a crisis center in Ohio. Having stuff of their own makes a humongous difference for folks.
My daughter is 6 and literally loves to check out every restroom at every single place when we go somewhere!
My stepdaughter was the same way at that age.
I have a kiddos that likes to do the same. Drives me bonkers.
Please watch for the fake command hook. They either don't hold or they don't come off without ripping off the drywall. Great video. Thank you
I have one of the little reading lamps and I love it!
Our dollar trees in northern Illinois suburbs have had those cake decorating items for about a year now. Very useful
Shannon from @Leaf Like On A Tree clip for the win!! I really enjoyed this Dollar Tree video. Thanks for sharing all your great finds.
Omg I used to play Hand and Foot with my grandparents when I was little. I've never found someone else that knows that game. That makes me happy. :)
Hey, Christine! Can you give tips on doing a low buy - no buy year? I'm giving it an extremely serious go. Thanks!
Me too this year! Good luck to you!
@@Barnyard_Dreams Good Luck, to you as well!! Happy 2023!
Have you ever read The Year Without a Pirchase? It’s a good read.
@@lyndsaymoehrman No, I'll have to look into that one. Thanks for the recommendation!
Love the eye glass wipes, storage/organization things, hair brushes, body washes, hair things in general, and if I need things for the group home I work in it comes in handy. (I have one guy waiting to play Blackjack lately no playing cards at the house :P
Don't use the DT fake command hooks...EVERY TIME I use them, they pull paint and sometimes sheet rock off our walls. I love DT, but that is one thing I steer clear of. Love your channel and videos!
Also, my DT has Crest Stain Eraser toothpaste, which is my all-time fave toothpaste. At Target it's $2.99 for 3.1 fl oz, and at DT is $1.25 for a smaller 2.3 fl oz. So, buy two tubes for $2.50, and you get more product for less money.
I would love to go shopping with you, Jen Chapin, Kim Wads, Mindy, and a few others.
$1.25 is a great price for the Elmo videos! I love finding those for my kids because I’d rather put a DVD on for them than turn on streaming .
Love that this is the real you! How have I missed your videos??? Never again!! ♡♡♡
Whoohoo another person who knows Hand and Foot! My Favorite!❤️
Hey Christine and family!! Thanks for bringing us along. Let’s Gooooo 😊
I was in my DT last week and found tons of great Christmas clearance, including those clear DIY ornaments, for 50 cents each.
Speaking of hat collections, my ex had a lg one, so I hung them all right below the ceiling on the walls all around his office (self-employed, so no one to complain). SN, I also had a shelf w/crown molding underneath that went all around my daughter's room 6in from the ceiling for her massive collection of beanie babies (yes, I was one of those diehard crazy ppl at Hallmark stores before they opened lol). She also had plenty w/o tags she played with, of course, lots of extras bc family get involved, sadly, too lol. Then, Precious Moments had to get in the game, so I got those, too! I ended up selling them all for a tiny fraction what I paid. Oh well...Live n learn!
I love wall calendars, paper, and pens. I didn't get any calendars this year. The fake command hooks tear the paint off your walls if you try to remove them.
As a kid, I loved the brave little toaster!
You’re becoming one of my favorite RUclipsrs!
The pre-popped popcorn is fabulous for road trip to meet it taste just like the movie
That little lamp works really well and it's really bright
I wonder if the Arm & Hammer body wash and kids products are safe. It would be a great alternative to the expensive Dove soaps.
That cake decorating took set would be awesome for kids/ people that do clay stuff. My daughter has been into model magic.
I tried your tip on looking in the food section at the Dollar Tree. Specifically, you had mentioned Pink Himalayan Salt and Chase's Glass Cleaner. I found both and tried them and they were spectacular, and I went back and bought more. Now I perused that aisle when I shop at Dollar Tree. I like the card selection too.
I already bought my Valentines 💝 cards at Dollar Tree!
My kids think I am weird to mix my water mixes with more water than called for. Now I can tell them Christine is weird too. 😂
Same here on the candy. I have been looking for those lamps..can't find them. I did see that light that you bought so I can read in bed, but I wasn't sure if it would work well. But I mean $1.25. What am I expecting.lol.. I think I will get on the next trip.. Great video. I need more of these for the new year. Thank you! Save on everyone out there!!
Love the brave little toaster lamps. I have several because it saves on my electric bill. I also have the mini camping lanterns as well as the disc lights. The batteries hold up well in all these. Fyi, they have a half globe light that has color patterns that illuminate. I call it my disco light.
The body wash that you showed at 15:54. My son uses that same body wash.I found a dvd/movie called turtle tales. It had 3 dvd in it. That was a good deal.
