Riga is a fairly affordable city that is often overlooked by its Western European city counterparts, but there’s lots to see in this Baltic region. The culture feels like a mix of Russian and Scandinavian, with the traditional charm of the old town neighborhood. Churches, clocks, animal-themed art, and Eastern European cuisine are things that come to mind.

You drink a shot first, after you get a snack or a soft drink, in this way it is much better, and actually it is supposed to be.
Also, come on, you use "russian" many times, naming Borshch and staff :) it is like Americans are to pizza calling it American. By the way, do you know that the Chinese introduced pelmeni (dumplings) to russians :)
