    This thing is nice and so is the Jaguar wagon that I had no idea existed. I'm sorry I know this is off-topic but it caught my eye. "lol"

      Ye the jag is his buddy Frank. The plates on it say “Jag Wag” it’s a cool small wagon, maybe I get him in the channel one day. He is building a crown Vic though

      The Jaguar X-Type is based on the Ford Mondeo Platform! The drivetrain is also mostly Ford, engine is the AJ6 3.0 but I believe it was developed from the Duratec engines. I want to Ecoboost Swap one, haha

      This car is going to get a NICE detail and paint correction along with new headlights and bulbs over the winter!

    It is called deep blue navy metallic I think. My 92 Crown Vic had a cranberry purplish color.

    Btw to protect your hood I recommend letting it drop from 12-18 inches rather than pushing it shut... those aluminum hoods like to bend easily and dropping it shut is the way to prevent that.

      Thanks for the tip! I think it needs some adjusting because even when trying the way you mentioned it doesn't latch.

    I'd definitely slap back on the HPP wheels......

    • @sawpitmotors
      @sawpitmotors 12 дней назад +1

      I plan to convert a set of HPP wheels into 2 or 3 piece 17" or 18" wheels. I love the HPP wheels but 16x7 give you limited tire options.

    One more comment since this video has me 100% nerding out panther-style. This car actually has Traction Assist which controls wheel spin via the rear brakes vs. Traction Control which controlled wheel spin via the rear brakes AND by retarding engine timing to reduce power (old school before electronic throttle). Traction Assist cars had no kill switch or light (so it's hard to tell it has it) but since this MGM is loaded, it almost certainly has it. I forget what year Traction Assist was introduced but I'm fairly certain it was an option going back to at least 93. I can say for certain it was an option from 94 on and top models had it. It kind of sounds like a pellet stove auger when it runs... I remember thinking that as a kid hearing it in my grandfather's 97 LTC.

    Mine had bayshore edition inside the logos in the door pillars and the two tone on the seats was the same on dash and door panels. I’ve seen others with the same seats they just weren’t bayshore editions

    • @sawpitmotors
      @sawpitmotors 12 дней назад +1

      Yes the 1996 cars had two tone dash and panels, this even extended into some special edition Town Cars
      I'm going to order the Marti Report soon to get full build sheet but I think you are right. I cant find any 1997 Bayshore edition brochures but these seats and the white top have to have been a special dealer option. Everything else about this car say sit should have the fully blue leather seats without the logos in it.

    Great video! Looks like a Bayshore Edition to me. I wondered if that name came from Bayshore Blvd in Tampa... but I'm sure the Bayshore name is all over coastal areas. Always liked this special edition MGM. Enjoy it!

      Doing a quick google map and google search, here’s what I found as some of the first google search finds;
      Town of Islip, New York
      Bay Shore is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Islip, New York, United States. It is situated on the South Shore of Long Island, adjoining the Great South Bay.
      And also this search;
      Bayshore Boulevard is a waterfront road on Hillsborough Bay in South Tampa, Florida. Located south of downtown Tampa, its sidewalk, at 4.5 miles long, is 10 feet wide and is the second longest continuous sidewalk in the United States, after Seawall Boulevard in Galveston, Texas.

    Those wheels? Lincoln Mark VII LSC...have them on a '76 Valiant sedan (it's a V8, hides a lot of upgrades) and all you have to do to get them on an old big-bolt pattern Mopar? Open the center register slightly and they bolt right on
