@@michaelstrauss2312 Not sure if I have a big enough sample size to say “improving”, but did some field work today and felt like these techniques helped me practice a lot more productively.
@@michaelstrauss2312 No joke, I played in a 2-round doubles tourney this weekend, and we won! My role was largely to park the upshots (mostly an R-Pro Dart), which I was able to do consistently through both rounds. Thanks again!
Rewatching this now. Especially after coming back, I appreciate how your instruction fills a particular niche. Useful, entertaining, infections positivity.
Recently competed in my first tournament. I absolutely tanked. This video is stupid helpful. Thank you for all the great content Robbie C. One of the best on YT!!
Great video. If you can't say at what footage you start a one step and then a three step on your approaches, it may be time for some field work. As my form has improved these footages have changed, I need to get back to the field and dial it in.
Right… I switched from KC pro putters after almost 17 years. The Lunas are great… But if somebody said I had to go back to the capital KC’s… I would have no problem with it.
@@michaelstrauss2312 pretty well, I must say. Still not 100% perfect, but the pieces are fitting into place and becoming more consistent. I still seem to be missing the power aspect, but I figure I'm getting ahead of myself and that will come with better form. I really appreciate your asking
Amazing stuff Robbie and Mike. I just practiced the no step just like Mike explained in my basement during this video and it feels great. Easy to control the line. I always look forward to your teaching videos Robbie.
I've dropped over 12 strokes since August!(when I started practicing your advice) Thanks for the amazing content! You've helped me uncover my disc golf passion that was buried beneath all my bad rounds. Now I know its one step at a time! I can't wait to join leagues and tournaments in the spring(when my minnesnowta weather allows me to).
Played Montevallo last November and scored +15. I played my third round there yesterday and got +1. Of course I’ve improved in distance and confidence, but using the tips from the first video in the series I breezed through upshots. It felt exactly like you said: cheating. The game became so easy even with errant drives. Thanks for the tips! Hope to see you around, Robbie!
@@michaelstrauss2312 thank you very much. One thing I have learned since playing. Is that everyone I've met has been really helpful and kind. Really enjoy the community for sure.👍
Was actually working on something similar to this at Heritage Park. Mike is an amazing teacher and it was great to meet you in Austin bro!! Keep at it 👍🏼🤙🏼
Great video as always! But the UV back lighting make the shot look weird, not sure if it's just too bright or too blue. But to me it looks like your outlined like your in front of a green screen or something.
Please for the love of all that is good get a throwing putter and try forehand upshots. If you dont have anything in the way a smooth hyzer like a lawn dart does wonders! Love the backhand tips too though! I have struggled mightily with trying to throw a jump-putt too hard and a full throw too soft to fill that 100-225’ range. Currently working on standstills and improving my jump putt to compensate, on the rare occasions I cant throw a forehand
very interesting... sorry about your flying pig. are the war pig stamps a stock run or a special edition, Ive never seen one online here in Canada. Hope they make lots of them. Keep up the good work and content.
@@michaelstrauss2312 as well as possible. I'm unable to play or throw due to a soft tissue injury I'm rehabbing, but I'm using my floorboards to keep up my footwork.
@@BillFromAZ Good luck on the rehab… I know what that’s all about. Stay in touch… And keep us updated with your progress. Good luck man and will talk soon!
@@michaelstrauss2312 Thanks. In August, I twisted my right ankle and was using a cane for a while....then end of September I was in a two day tournament (two rounds each day) and my ankle felt good, but I think I unconsciously kept from putting weight on it as it was my plant/pivot foot. My backhands were off, and I had a throw that really needed to go straight...I think I pulled the disc straight and leaned over backwards which caused something to pull/tear in my arm. Played through it. Then end of October, I played a one day-two round tournament. Mainly threw forehand which didn't bother me. But I had an upshot, figured throw easy backhand, no issue. Oh, the pain. So, I'm seeing a person who specializes in soft tissue sports injuries. After three weeks, I'm not feeling pain, but I haven't thrown yet either. I'm going to give it another week before I try. My doc said I could try throwing now, but I want to give it at least another week. Hopefully, I also forget my bad habits and can focus on throwing correctly. I also play on starting up my lessons again. Meanwhile, I'm using my floorboards and the train tracks idea to keep up on my footwork.
Good news! 6 weeks of therapy and I'm throwing again with no discomfort. My GoPro shows the train tracks practice really worked. My walk-up is consistent and my throws are more on line now. Thank you!
I would bet on Mike with one Luna vs anyone with a full bag.
Dude, your teaching style is incredible. My game is improving leaps and bounds, and I've been playing for 20+ years. Thanks Robbie!
Just checking in… Things still improving?

Dude. It was awesome meeting you at NADGT in Texas
I like my Luna for approach and short tee shots but I ❤ my Yeti Aviars for putting.
These videos are pure disc golf gold! Can't thank you both enough!
Love the Luna!

🌙 LUNA LOVER!!! 🌙 Yes, the Luna has been a game changer for my up shots!! Also, never thought I'd DRIVE regularly with a putter other than my Pig! 🐖
I've been incorporating video 1 into my game, and now this video, and man, it's like relearning the game all over again.

Love the shirt and the info🙌🏻
Great video! Love having you preach to perfect your current distance first, always need to remind myself of that!
Luna's are awesome. Great putting putters, fantastic throwing putters.
Been crushing it since I started working on what you are talking about
Last two videos are KILLER. Can't wait to try it out.
Side note, is it just me or is the picture weird? Feels super bright and over saturated...
Tried uploading it in HDR, but it’s been weird for sure!

Innova! My bag has like 90% innova the only other brands I have are dynamic, doscraft and mvp but like 1 or two discs
Yooooo repping trash panda! Let’s go!
The 4 step shot is my normal T shot. It feels much more controlled, and my home course don’t require over 450 tee shots.
We have someone at my local course who throws a Luna on a 410 ft hole
Do you let the disc rip from ur hand or you let is go like a putter?
welp, turns out I've just been driving to do a "mini drive" with my upshots instead of even thinking about spin vs speed. Thanks Robbie C
One of my local leagues is meeting on Sunday, so I'll be dressing up as Super Mario!
I am dressing with half a disc glued to my head so it looks like someone threw it and it stuck.
Definitely way late on the costume comment. But my sister and I were jay and silent bob it was awesome 👌
Lunas 🤤
I’ll be dressing up as a le H‑E‑B manager…..cuz I’ll be working:)

I DO HAVE a Luna… It’s EXTREMELY under stable … The fade says 3…. NOPE
D. Pelz
I got your putter while you fish your disc out of the water. 😂 💀
Editing out all the silent gaps erodes the ability to follow and digest the information. I don't think it's worth the minute you save

: )
But I still miss the original Birdie. The new Birdie videos are not doing it for me Robbie. Just saying 😄
