  • Welcome back to Pro Shop. Well after 5 years away the FJ Holden is finally back for reassembly. There were a couple of changes made to the car while it was away such as changing the transmission from a 4 speed to a 3 speed which caused some problems . On another note I finished the EH ute and got to deliver it to the owner.

Best thing to do if you can is move a bit more rural to a house with a big shed and work from home, zero rent if you buy, rent money pays a mortgage, no travel to and from work.. just so many benefits, and with your skills people will bring their projects to you no matter where you live..
We are on 4 acres and hour out of Melbourne, I work from home, it’s peaceful and quiet and the city’s only an hour away if you need it

This comment wins, move out of the city, you'll never regret it. I've lived both and want to return rural when kids are done with school

That sucks that you guys are getting screwed with the rent, please don't chuck it in, your work is amazing, move to a country town, much better environment to live and work and certainly much less expensive for both 👍👍

Absolutely gutted for you mate. As a commercial landlord, I can honestly say that rent increase is ridiculous. If I had a vacant unit I’d offer it to you simply because I love your work and your channel. Good luck with the move. I’d happily help or support if I could. 👍🏻. Cheers Nick Central Coast.
P.S. Nice to see Anika on the camera again.

Sucks that youve been screwed on the rent. Its bloody hard to cover overheads as a one man show. Being able to work from home is a big cost saver, but pretty hard to do in suburbia, might be time for a tree change. Good luck

  • @grumpysgarage4387

I'm sorry to say ,, it's to common rent increases like that , I'm into commercial leases, have a couple . Some I know will do just what's happening to you , it's a risk v reward method.
You established set up and invested in that rental, that's the reward they are looking for !
Go over the lease agreement if they are breaching it, the end result will be the same you will still move but you can legally screw them over for upto 1 year not paying rent , and then hit them up for moving cost
    Hence risk v reward

Bet you find those tools, nuts & washers you lost when you pack up. 👊

Where’s that fuel cap from? That’s pretty wicked.
Good tip on the masking tape 👍 I’ve wanted an affordable but decent tape for both painting and everyday tasks.
All the best with moving around. I faced a similar thing with the rent not long ago, ended up homeless for a few weeks. lol shit sucks

Welcome to the world we live in these days. real Estate people are maybe lower then used car sales people. seems once your set up and spent the time and money to establish the wok space as you want it, they seem to believe you have no option and they try to take advantage. Good luck with the hunting for a new place.

You can blame both the landlord and mainly the real estate ..same here they let you get setup then ramp up rent even with empty sheds around. They won't budge on price
