@@Swiss69827on the ingredients list, or active ingredients, does it contain oxymetazoline? I’ve had similar problems and I’m wondering if this is the problem rather than just “hay fever” or “colds”. The problem with that ingredient is it causes rebound congestion to the point where you need it just to breathe normally.

@Burhan.2023 Still the same lol. Went to my primary doctor a few weeks ago and she said she can't do anything about it because it's not her profession, I told her about the three surgeries and I didn't trust the last guy, she gave me a new doctor I could call (she told me to find a doctor myself last time) because she trusts him and told me to tell him exactly what I told her, I called, and he doesn't accept my insurance. So, you know, I kind of give up on breathing at this point, and I don't think I want to go to my primary doctor for a while. I'm pretty sure she just gave me a random name just to end the appointment. Thanks for asking though lol.

Post covid flirt varaiant exposure this is what I'm experiencing and what my extensive research has led to. This is becoming a medical novelty and less of an anomaly following infection with Covid (like me). Going to ENT tomorrow, but apparently this condition is misdiagnosed and masked as Choanal Atresia post covid upper repository infection. Granted I've had a deviated septum and irregular nose bone structure for 8 years now due to a direct traumatic injury I suffered at the age of 16 and never sought medical attention for, but never experienced this inflammatory response or noticeable difficulty breathing out of one nostril until I woke up on the morning of July 15th prior to having a scratchy throat and working outside in hot weather conditions whilst being exposed to a family member with covid in the same home...which leads me to beileve in a trifecta of potential irritants including sensitivity to allergies (which I also rarely and minorly experiance) I just think it's my immune system working in overdrive following my second covid positive test in 4 years time, leaving me to beileve I had contracted "long covid" via my first infection in 2022, which potentially caused me to form accute or chronic sinitus as an underlying condition, and given that deviated septum issues can only get worse over time as we age, this is my best and most sensable theory that I will be presenting to my doctor. There's extensive documentation of this novel post covid side effect via articles online which can help you process your symptoms better and ease your anxiety prior to your ENT appointment. Today is day 10 of my symptoms with slight improvement noticed each day (I used OTC nasal decongestant every day for a week) which hasn't seemed to have made it worse but a netty pot didn't do much and a humidifier can only do so much...once the covid infection left I no longer have a runny nose, just dry and slightly inflamed and swollen on my left nostril only with slight sinus pressure on my left side only following air flow fluctuations every few hours (which is normal but annoying given the potential infection not letting me breath as I properly do at free will) but as I type this I do continue to notice improvement in general air flow of the sinus without the use of any additional medications other than your common natural supplements and Zicam...I'll keep you posted but it could also be a potential polyp or both. Oh, I also have Autism so I'm more at risk of being immune compromised than a neurotypical patient, I am 24 years old, healthy with no underlying conditions other than being a regular cannabis consumer and having negative reactions to certain foods and carbohydrates, carbonated drinks, alcohol and slight eczema that I'm generally aware of other than a potential (POTS syndrome) caused by my cervical spine (military neck) and vagus nerve instability that causes similar sytoms to episodes of POTS called " Vasovagal Syncope" which is what I beileve to be a birth defect that lead to my autism diagnosis at a young age (my scoliosis that formed into military neck)...if so this is groundbreaking research that needs to be further studied and funded immediately...not to mention I was diagnosed with slight scoliosis in middle school which is also what I beileve to be a birth defect given that most Turbinate Hypertrophy cases are detected at birth and rarely later diagnosed later in adulthood but is now becoming more common in patients with long covid among other symptoms like temporary loss of taste or smell which also overlap this increasingly common condition. I'm more at risk due to my low vegal tone due to my military neck compression of the vegus nerve (responsible for heart stability, blood pressure, GI tract, lungs and the entire immune system response throughout the whole body including emotions and stress levels) which also has an effect on my chronic depression, anxiety and PTSD (or for all I know is exactly what caused these mental health complications) I hope this helps somebody who's been through hell and lived to tell it...God's plan isn't always fair or comfortable, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and teaches you to humble your character...without this experiance I may have continued to go misdiagnosed for several more years and caused worsening and confusing physical and mental health changes...there's clarity in putting the puzzle together now I just need to get to present the information to proffesionals and tackle the root cause which could be life changing for me and many others who have suffered through life since a youth and were ill informed and diagnosed with multiple conditions in a span of several decades, both mental and physical...it all comes down to a single nerve that regulates emotional trauma and the nervous system. I don't have all the answers yet but I'm at least confident that there's a positive breakthrough being made in regards to my overall health and well-being. Don't ask me to wear a mask though because they definitely do NOT work 5 years into this sh*t! Our country FAILED our people!!! We shouldn't even be talking about Covid anymore let alone getting infected with novel variants in the middle of a sunny July day in 2024. The biggest failure of disease containment since 9/11 and the Trump 💥 attempt.

One healer told me recently to improve my immune system by eating healthy and cleansing my digestive system, and soon it will alleviate allergy and inflammation in turbinates, and that we should never do turbinate reduction unless all options were exhausted. I started the process recently and excited to see if my enlarged turbinates deflate and i could breathe better.

Vivaer nasal airway should fix your problem as it remodels your nasal tissues with no cutting but just a bit of heat and you can breathe freely but if you just have a normal blocked nose, you can use otrivin nose spray. I hope this fixes your problem

A doctor would correctly diagnose the cause , but as far as i can tell it is mostly due to an infection , steaming would relieve the symptoms and course of antibiotics and cartecosteroids would treat it. For advance cases surgery is the only option

Allergies can cause the swelling too, so even if you are mildly-severely allergic to some pets or things in the air it could make them swell up often. If allergies are the cause of your swelling turbinates you won’t need surgery, instead do allergy immunotherapy which will solve the problem permanently, that’s what I’m doing.
