This is an overdue thanks & appreciation for *all* your posts and range of flying topics/issues you explore. After 15+ years of flying interest & experience, my hope of owning/flying a canard aircraft has diminished, but my love for the design certainly hasn't. You & your site provide your followers the vicarious enjoyment of flying in your aircraft!
(Your procedures & communications in controlled airspace are instructively superb as well.)
THANK YOU, Scott, for all you share!
Looking forward as always to your next post,
    Dana the BikePilot/HangarTroll

Hi Scott, I met you last July in Nova Scotia, I am your cousin Rhonda’s husband. It was great meeting you and I also had the pleasure of meeting your dad and spoke with him and your mom for a while. So great to see you having a great flight with your dad! Enjoying your RUclips channel! Keep up the great content. Thanks, Dale.

I can tell your dad had a great day. He seemed to enjoy telling you about the past. I envy you with
    your time with your dad.

Very nice. I never got a chance to take my dad up in my experimental. Enjoy! (which you clearly do)

You always bring back memories for me. I got my instructor ticket at DKK a month before 9/11.

Thanks for the video Scott. My dad may have been in the same Navy as your dad. If you ever fly to Hamilton you will be able to do an excellent video of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. There are 47 military jets and prop engine planes. Or a 35 minute drive with your dad from Brampton.

I've been there many times. In fact, one of the Trackers that they have there is one that my dad worked on in the Navy on the Bonaventure. His signature is in the logs. :)

Heartwarming to hand Dad the reigns -n- let him fly even for just a few minutes. I knew you probably would offer it & I was glad as
he took her. So where did you put the ballast after you pulled it out of the nose? Do you put it in the middle, behind you or is there
a different setup to balance everything? I kinda hoped Dad would pull some "G's" or perform a barrel roll but I liked the whole bit.
I saw you go up to visit 1 time but I didn't get any indication of how mobile Dad was, he's getting along quite well. Thanks for this
video Scott ~ beam me up ! please take care & GB ALL

I take the ballast out of the nose and put it below the rear seats, which is just a couple inches forward of the C/G (at the wing spar).

Yes, I knew you had it in the front for 1 person flying but I wasn't sure how far back to get the plane balanced out. Hey,
when you went on a vacation w/ you wife I thought I heard you say she rode in the rear seats, did I hear that & if that
was right did it have to do w/ the balance of the aircraft? None of my business & I might have heard you wrong.
I apologize if I do have it wrong, I'm trying to understand stuff & I found a "Canard Part 103 aircraft". Falcon ....

You heard right, she prefers riding back there, stretching out and watching Netflix! In that case, I keep the ballast up in the nose, and nothing else has to be done beyond managing gross weight, which we are never near with just the two of us in the plane.

    - I hear that nowadays it's popular to go flying back and forth at night in New Jersey 🤣

Watching you come in low and slow while staying above the big tree, I was wondering if you can slip a Cozy?

    • @CanardBoulevard
      @CanardBoulevard  3 часа назад

You absolutely can, but, within limits: it's still slippery and hard to slow down. I'm coming in low and slow in this video, but I'm also at idle - so even if I were to lose my engine on final, I'm still going to make the runway. I've got enough excess energy that I could still make it.

You will be old. One day you will fail your medical. Then this memory will still be with you. I hope you are blessed with a child who will carry the mantle. 2 Kings 2 9 When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?”
