Her kit is definitely outdated, but if you play her as a dedicated melee health/armor bruiser her perfomance at that role is still formidable if you slap a good Helminth over her 1 or 3. Also in addition to the faster knockdown recovery she has inbuild Kavat's Grace in her passive, which is quite nice QoL.
Valkyr is kinda like Frost. Both of them are complete trash...until you see their 4...and that one ability is so strong they can pretty much do most content. I'm not sure I understand the point of using Terrify except as an excuse to use Enraged. Valkyr doesn't care about armor strip until like SP1000. Nourish (or Lycath's Hunt) lets you stay in Hysteria permanently.
Thats the point. One amazing ability is a bad design. The build is to give you more choice and not just sit in her 4th ability slide melee til your fingers bleed.
Im personally a fan of a wrathful advance valkyr with the ceramic dagger and the amalgam argonak mod. You use her still bugged but decent paralysis augment to pull enemies close so the strip is more efficient (since you already add wrathful advance onto her instead of a pull ability). She's good in very specific situations, like her ability to be practically invincible can help in situations where you don't want to abuse shield gating, but she's been nerfed too many times and the enemy power creep is now so high that even if DE rebuffed her back before her nerfs, she wouldn't be that good. She needs a rework, but i don't ever see her getting one because she has specific use cases. Grendel didn't need a rework, and he got one before frames that did. So yeah.

I rather have a balanced and fun kit instead of a single overpowered invulnerability ability taking away all design space. The whole game is so powercrept, as long as you provide a means of shieldgating, literally any warframe decimates 9999 enemies without sweating, even valk, but it's just infinitely more unfun on those badly designed frames and that is the only thing left for a sandbox game like WF.

Sooo I am a LITTLE different. Not a Valkyr main in the slightest, but I do have one gripe. With the fact that we have so many means of Armor Strip available, and status primers exist, I created a Paralysis build (Electric Elemental Ward subsume). That way I get 2 instances of Damage when casting Paralysis, and it can become quite the heavy hit. I have yet to get my hands on Prolonged Paralysis though. I feel like it could be even better with that.
Yeah. I just play Valkyrie with 4 always active. Silence subsumed to her so acolytes and Eximus units cannot use abilities. I have slide attack macroed so my fingers are safe. Additionally silence stun is supposed to give melee steath damage multiplier, but I have not tested it much as damage is not lacking.
I think she's actually a good frame for newer players. She's tanky with a simple play style and is easy to build. If you're new and think she's cool, get her. Still viable in normal missions.

She absolutely destroys all but 2 things: Floating bosses with no adds and a shit ton of Iframes (looking at you Vay Hek and that one archon) Nullifier hell if you're too busy having fun and don't slash down the bubble first. Seriously 9 nullifiers next to each other is the biggest boner killer for the entire game doesn't matter what frame but it makes Valkyr in particular so flaccid.
Honestly, i would just thinking on giving her the helmith ability of Styanax, then just pull enemies with paralysis and strip armor + heals, the only problem is the energy necesary to pull this often
love the sound design, love the flippy jump animation, but god damn does she need a serious rework, i could understand hydroid coming first since he actively fucked the whole party just by doing basically anything, but valkyrs gotta be close, surely. The 1 is uhhhhhhhh a single target pull that sends them flying behind you? a slower bullet jump that costs energy? huh?. The 2 is very good for a melee frame, shame it takes an augment to really be useable with that low base duration and long cast. Yea this is the correct way to play for sure. But it shouldnt have to be the only. She need a rework so she has an actual decent kit
