- SkinPen, the first-ever FDA-approved microneedling device, is a minimally invasive tool that uses sterile needles to create tiny holes in your skin. Those holes cause the body to react and produce collagen and elastin. The cosmetic team at SLUCare Physician Group is made up of experts in using the SkinPen on a variety of skin types, especially for those with facial or acne scarring or signs of aging.
Paige Campbell, an aesthetician at the SLUCare Medspa, talks about the Skinpen Microneedling procedure. She explains not only what it is but also how it works and what is actually happening to achieve the results of glowing radiant skin. She also discusses the process a client will go through and what to expect for down time. More information online at www.slucare.edu/cosmetic

Just had my first treatment today! Can’t wait to see the results
Heyy how's your result
I did main just an hour ago but they told me I have to have 3 more sessions
Got mine yesterday.. still red and itchy😂
Hey @@mysterygurl847 How is the result? :D I am gonna do it soon and I am unsure if it works for acne scars?
How did it go ?@@Ror747
For under eyes i just use very.light colour concealer or primer soft foundation cream. This makes skin lighter and reflects light off skin. This even works for.fine lines near eyes. Don't use too much!
How painful is it?
Depends the strength of the numbing cream and the depth of the needling. Recommend 10% lidocane topical 40 mins before.
I didn't have numbing cream and it was pretty painful after it all. wasn't so hard in the beginning, but it got very hard later on. the person who did it to me basically said that she would do it until the client reaches their limit in it and after it got to hard for me it was the end of our session.
Just did it yesterday they number u 1st so it didn't hurt at all trust me. It's like at the dentist the vibration of the machine and the noise is more intimidating than the treatment itself lol
The pen feels like sandpaper rubbing against your skin. It’s best to use numbing cream first (10% laidocaine for an hour). You will definitely feel the pain more around the nose and upper lips area. That’s just something you just have to bite through the pain.
A lot. I am recovering, but honestly I had a lot of acne scares,so they did a massive treatment on me.
How about a video on an elderly person that could really use wrinkle help instead of someone young that didn't need this to start with.
This procedure isn’t just for wrinkles, and is not just for older people. It can be used to improve the skins texture, reduce the appearance of acne scarring, and help with uneven skin tone and sun damage.
🙄
Thank you for this awesome vid, I had a chemical peel done about 12 years ago and omg, it hurt like heck. I want to get micro needling done and I want to see how it's done. Anyway, does anybody here know what the procedure for non-surgical neck firming is called? There is a skin institute here in Hawaii and I swear, I saw that they offered neck firming too but I can't remember what category it was under because I just went on the webpage and couldn't find it.
how was the result of chemical peel?
What kind of numb gel or cream do you use?
can i use 2.5mm darma roller under eyes is safe or note ? please answer me i have dark circle and finelines my age 23
I'd say no way. Close to eyes is to be avoided. But I've only watched a lot of these vids. Not a professional at all.
I'm a licensed esthetician and using a dermaroller at home anywhere on your skin is not advised. 2.5mm is too deep to use on most of your face. Dark circles inder the eyes cannot be treated with microneedling even by a professional. It is an extremely delicate area. I've had dark circles my whole life and there is no way for me to get rid of mine since they are hereditary for me. Please visit a licensed esthetician in your area to get a consultation and figure out the correct way to care for your skin and address your concerns. I hope this helps 🙂
1mm and no more
Never use dermarollers. They tear skin.
Check out penn smith skincare. Youcan do this yourself at home.
Magnificent overview.
I got one of these pens at a bin store never been opened or used. I was going to sell it but I have a red spot on my forehead from sun damage that I got 2 years ago. It bugs me every time I look in the mirror….still debating to try this on myself lol 😅
Try it. I do it myself and it’s great. I use Dr Pen
, I have a degree in aesthetics, I am interested in buying a skin pen device. Can you send me the link to order?
Curious now much this costs, especially for all 3 visits
About $750
Depends on the location. 4 treatment package at my dermatologist is $1,400 😬
Is your face red, after the procedure and how long does the redness last, @Audrey? Thank you.
@@gumdokim I haven't done the treatment, was just doing research
@@gumdokim YES. And it peels!
Go about your day??? Her skin was bright red! Hopefully her day included taking off work.
Who can purchase this device?
Does it hurt?
That's exactly why I'm here lol
Feels like a buzzer on your skin around your eyes & nose is kinda sensitive tho
Not much they numb your face before the session..
Done at home it feels like a rough poke
Yes like they burn ur skin 🙄
How do you buy that brand?
To stop pimples eat bananas. Have you ever seen a monkey with pimples????
Bananas are actually some of the bad things that can cause acne
A monkey doesn't have the same skin or looks anything like a human.
Lol! You didn’t compare monkeys to humans just now…😂
@Ari-gm8bf clearly you weren't paying attention to Chelsea Haynes!
Monkey never cramps
You should not be drawing blood like what the heck 🤣🤣 what could possibly be the benefits of this? You can still penetrate the dermis without damaging the skin and hurting the patient 🥴
JESUS, THE HOST IS LOUD! Tone it down, lady. We can alllll hear you.
It’s the microphone
Turn your volume down?
No thanks. Not for me.
U need work
Eat bee pollen
