Remember, money has the last word and unfortunately, studios don't earn as much as they should. I'm telling you, crowd-funding is the temporary solution until Japan changes the laws.
That anime was the first thing I've watched from them and just discovered it was the only product of them I've ever watched. Never really was appealed by JJK or CSM, so I guess I'm not their target audience anymore since the movie was cancelled and they're only appealing for shonen watchers, so... Goodbye, Mappa, never really knew about you, and you won't be missed tbh.
It’s disappointing really, I would have liked to have seen another season or a movie. I only watched this anime a week ago for the first time and I loved it. On a personal note I feel that another season would have bought the story to a complete end and real shame they cancelled it. I loved all the characters developments, especially Victor , Yuri and angry Yurio.
Ngl I was really disappointed after have been waiting for it for a long time, but it’s Mappa’s choice I guess, however I wish that someone would please pick it up again soon cause yuri on ice is masterpiece!🫶🥲
Yuri On Ice movie was like the "Half-Life 3" of MAPPA... Maybe the movie is so hard to make that they don't wanna mess it up and ruin the franchise's reputation... I would rather not to get Yuri On Ice: Ice Adolescence than a film that is not as good as the series.
