I think this is a question a lot of beginners wonder, as the most popular cameras are quite expensive now. But basically all of the others work just as well, there are still plenty of reasonably priced lesser known cameras available on eBay and local classifieds that will work great for most users and especially beginners.
You should check the Yashica Minitec Super! The only difference to the T4 is that it has a 33 mm lense instead of 35 mm and it doesn't have a Carl Zeiss lense so that it has a bit less micro contrast. And it costs only 100 $.
Honestly you could get a very small and portable Canon SLR with a nifty fifty for less than half the price of many of these point and shoot suggestions. Put it in P more and you have a full point and shoot for a lot less money.
hi! I was considering to take an olympus mju-i to a trip to vietnam but I'm really worried about the humidity or rain, do you think it can be that kind of weatherproof? thank you for your video, it's really well made!
AF-10 Super i think you can choose flash options whereas af10 is automatic. Also sometimes they have quartzdate. In other words, not much difference at all
loved this vid!! so refreshing to see people talk about actual beginner friendly cams/not just all the same popular ones
It’s a shame no one makes a new point and shoot with a great lens.
Pentax/Ricoh is working on one!
Pentax 7 just came out but it’s half frame
Rolled 35s, Nikon L35AF, Olympus XA, Olympus Trip 35, Nikon Action Touch, Minolta AF-C, any of the Canon Power Shots, Konica C35, Yashica T4
Great video all around, great cameras, great tips, great vibes. Love the fact that you recommend a song at the end of the video! Subbed
Thanks!!
I picked up an Espio 24EW on a whim in early 2020 and it's been a little gem. Hilarious zoom and tiny enough for any jacket (or loose trouser) pocket.
Make a video talking about overlooked SLR’s and rangefinders that would be worth checking out!
Maybe if you’re lucky!

I'm loving the Nikon L35 right now but your list is very interesting and will be noted for the future. particularly the Lomo Apparat! 🙌
I've never really considered the Espio, I'll keep my eyes open for one. Happy new year Max, thank you!
I was considering buying the Espio 200. I guess it'll be a bit different from the one he mentioned in the video but it should be kinda similar I guess
Thanks for including the LomoApparat Max!
Thank you so much for this!
I feel a good shout could be a Knoica Big Mini, they are expensive, but possible to find cheap at thirft stores and what not.
There are definitely a tonne that fall into this category! I just hope this video provides a good start point!

costs 300 on ebay as we speak
Love your content mate, keeping shining bright
Thanks a lot Reuben! It’s always so nice to get great feedback!
I’m stuck between the Olympus Mui and the canon sure shot 85. Any thoughts? Also for the Olympus do I need to know how to focus it?
MJU I - it’s autofocus

Hey Marta, the MJU I should do pretty well in Vietnam, just be careful if you’re using it and it’s really rainy!
@@maxkent thanks a lot!
Is there much difference between the Olympus af10 and the af10 super

Nikon T4? (in your chapters title) ✌✌
Pentax MX + SMC 40mm.
Konica Big Mini BM-302
Terry Richardson, wow I haven't heard that name in a very very long time. He's a weirdo? What did I miss?
