I agree. She does an excellent job. Too bad the videographer seems to have tunnel vision on Belew. A longer duration on the wide shots that include Julie Slick would have been greatly appreciated. It's the Adrian Belew Power Trio, not the Adrian Belew solo show. (or maybe I'm just biased to the bass LOL)
Look up "Adrian Belew Power Trio - 05.06.17 - Ardmore Music Hall - HD" - It's a full show in two parts...wide, still shot on the whole band. I just watched it last night with headphones on a big screen computer. Almost the perfect gig with so many crazy jams.
Interesting yes.. most interesting.. not really, I mean the drums.. wow and Belew's amazing solo and ability to perfectly play with a delay pedal.. it's an amazing combination of musicians.. not just one interesting performance..
Always found Adrian to be a very inventive guitarist. He was a great foil for Robert Fripp in King Crimson.
This is why he was such a great compliment to fripp's playing
Wow. I forgot how much I like his music. What a great song and great playing all around
One of the most creative artists...
The bass player is the most interesting part of the performance. Good tone and notes where they should be...Nicely done...

Julie Slick is one of the best bassists I've ever heard.
I've gotten into playing Bass recently, (I'm a guitarist, mainly) and I've found her to be very inspiring.
One of the best in the biz right there.
What an amazing band. I wish I'd heard of them long before I did.
Masters...
Please, Adrian, do the rest of the ABC!!!!
Thank you Frank Zappa, and thank you Paul Green for bringing these things to my attention.
In FZ we trust
simply amazing thank you so much
A grandeza desse artista é impossível de ser mensurada.
Julie Slick- Bass, Eric Slick (or is it Tobias Ralph) - Drums, Adrian Belew - Guitar & Synth Guitar (of course) :-)
It's gotta be either Tobias Ralph or Marco Minnemann. Eric didn't go on tour, I believe.
Muito louco,um jazz,um rock,um cometa,um som,sim Adrian Belew te leva a superar os limites.
I love how Adrian set up the background riff and then overlays on top of it.
where can i get this whole album!?!?
this would be a great boss theme for an avant-garde, quirky Final Fantasy-style game
9:13 fuck yeah!!
Wow!!
What a groove
Errrmerrgerrrrd! Slick Belew, dontcha know!🌠
Master
when adrian gets "that look" on his face...look out!!
Would love it if someone could post a guitar tab for the intro riff Adrian plays here.
It's just a chromatic scale starting on open E, the reason it sounds so funky is because he's using octave displacement to mess up the scale
+Josh Marland nope it's not
Pretty amazing guitar playing by Adrian. Then you realize that Julie is duplicating his lines on the bass. That really is amazing.
duplicating and adding to.
Holy shit!
just wow
👌👌👌👌👌 cool...you are awesome, from INFOPIX🔥🔥🔥🔥 cool show, let's connect... 👌👌👌👌👌
Belly up NICE I've played there twice
This is a bit good
Adrian's "piano" style sounds a lot like Mike Garson's.
Are Brian Belew (Barnabas) and Adrian Belew related to each other, other than being first rate guitarists?
I don't get it the guitar solo sounds like a keyboard, is it an effect?
yes it is computarized effect,to be honest his guitar and robert fripp's can sound as anything they want
Sounds like he's generating MIDI for a synth
its a midi plug in. at least I found one that sounds just like it.
Including Neurotica
always loved that reference in this piece
