  • For the premier of this channel Im releasing a series called "Earthships in Pennsylvania?!" The series tells the story of a community of trailblazers who's alternative ideas have resulted in the construction of three unique and inspirational structures.
    .
This video takes a look back on a greenhouse reconstruction project at Stonehedge Gardens in Pennsylvania. The design uses Earthship techniques such as a foundation made of rammed earth tires, passive solar and gray water recycling.

With what’s happening in the world today, some people chose off-grid living. Most of our customers prefer to leave the city and live near nature. We sell vacant land away from the city and we will be sharing this video with them to be inspired and get more ideas.

Hi Eric, grew up in Schnecksville and have been obsessed with Earthships since seeing a pic of Mike Reynolds in his pre-Earthship upcycled aluminum can designed house when I was 9 in a Ranger Rick magazine.
Now live in update NY, have been to the Taos Mecca and fantasize about building and living in one.
I will be in Tamaqua soon and I can't wait to look these up and visit.
So grateful this Truffula seed has sprouted and grown!!!

I was unaware there was such a movement in Pennsylvania, which is weird cause I've lived here all my life, lol

I had no idea that stonehedge now has an earthship greenhouse. I was just there last week but it was dark already. Hadn't been there since the permaculture convergence in like 2017,

People need builders that can build these homes for them. I would help, of course, but I would want a professional to build my home.
I'm looking to build in CO.

Great video! Can you do a small part of one of these on how to attach the grey water cell to the house plumbing?

If you have issues, you might able to get the city council on your side by educating them about the environmental benefits and how progressive their open-mindedness would be.
