    I know you asked a while ago what content people would like to see, and this is great. I was also curious if you might be able to do a simple daily refresh routine. Like maybe do a wake up take hair out of the pineapple and what you do with it to refresh for day 2, then the next day what you do until you switch to a wash day?
    Thanks so much for your super helpful content, and god bless you!

    Very helpful! I struggle with drying my hair as it takes forever and a day (even with the Laifen dryer). My hairdresser agrees that my hair just holds water to the extreme. 30 minutes of drying on high heat/high power and my hair is probably 60-70% percent dry. Air drying does take literally a whole day. I will say the Laifen is worlds better than the dryers I used to use but still takes soooooooo long.

    This was incredibly helpful!! I have been on my wavy journey for over a year now and have learned so much from you! I have soaked in A LOT of content from a whole host of creators on how to take care of my wavy/curly hair and you have been the most helpful of the bunch! I love that I continue to learn something from you! This video in particular has given me a whole host of new techniques to try and I really can’t say thank you enough. My hair is so weird!! Since it's longer it hates brush styling and I can only brush style when my hair is short. It's straight at the bottom some days and then textured at the top. Do other fellow waives experience this? I do the bowl method to fix my ragged ends. It works super well! Thank you Cortney for not leaving us wavies out of the loop!

    I am a huge CGM rebel as my scalp requires me to be. I work out and I have an oily scalp. My fine hair also doesn't need much conditioning to begin with, though I love silicone based conditioners as I find oil based conditioners don't work so well anymore. I always want at least a leave in conditioner, though I often use a rinse out conditioner too. I do a pre shampoo oil treatment a vast majority of the time before I wash it. I also tend to like applying my hold products on more damp hair as opposed to wet hair, as I want more definition in my waves.

    Thanks so much for this! I'll be watching this a lot. On one of your previous videos you tried two different Bounce Curl brushes, and I think it was the Volume EdgeLift that you were surprised to feel like it was actually gentler on your hair than the other brush. Or perhaps I am mistaken. Anyway, after having more time to use the brushes, have you developed a preference for one of the Bounce Curl brushes over the other, or does the brush you use just depend upon your mood (and your hair's mood)? I have very fine hair and was thinking the one you felt caused less tension might be a better choice for me to start with.

I'm 48 and just realized I had wavy curly hair I just thought it was frizzy and always flat ironed until I recently got a hair cut and highlight and my stylist said you have a lot of curl/wave in your hair and to train it start using gel and styling products and after a month my hair has so much waves and curls but after half a day my front sides become so straight and I'm not sure what to do.

    Good Morning Courtney ! I think that pre poo oil would be good for my husbands hair. My hair is way too flat. I lose a lot of hair when I wash and condition my hair. I love the Quidad products. They were the very first shampoo and conditioner products I used. I did find a good Curl Smith shampoo for color treated hair the Vivid Tones Virbrancy Shampoo. By the way I've stopped shampooing the ends of my hair because of your advice. I also brush my conditioner in as well. Thanks for your great advice !!

It's amazing how small changes like not shampooing the ends can make such a big difference, isn't it? Curl Smith’s Vivid Tones Vibrancy Shampoo is a fantastic choice for color-treated hair. Keep up the great work with your routine, and thank you for your sweet words-they truly made my day! 😊

  • @Nubesyxochis
    @Nubesyxochis 2 дня назад

    Actually, it's kind of funny how our porosity and strand thickness affect our hair experience. I was just noticing last night that before I started using styling products for my coarse, high-porosity wavy hair, it was a lot LESS sleek (more wacky volume, frizzy and wiry-looking). Let me put it this way, I use about a tablespoon of the OGX as my pre-shampoo oil, using my fingers the way you did (and collecting hairs in the process) yet it does not look oily afterwards; my hair just sucks it up and looks soft and shiny. It work wonders too, when it comes to protecting my hair from drying when I shampoo and especially when I clarify. Note: my son has thick, fine 3a curls and they start looking greasy if he skips ONE day of washing.

  • @tiffaniwerner4256

    Tip from a pro hair stylist: Never put conditioner/leave-in or deep conditioner on your roots or on your scalp. Conditioner is only meant for mid length through to ends of your hair only. Applying conditioner so close to your roots only weighs your hair down. I promise, the sebum your scalp secretes, nourishes your roots plenty.

    Your hair turned out gorgeous 😍 @swavycurlycourtney! But honestly, no matter what your waves and curls are doing, you are always beautiful, inside and out!
    So, I have a question for you, Courtney. I'm trying to decide which hair dryer to invest in. And I do mean invest. It's quite a big chunk of money. I, too, have RA. But I also have really long, thick, wavy, curly hair. Even my individual hairs are thick. I have done a lot of research and am down to two hair dryer options, the Curlsmith Defrizzer with the large 8 inch diffuser or the Laifen with the diffuser attachment. I'm concerned about the Curlsmith one only because I wonder if it will be heavier and trickier to use, because of the size if the diffuser. Will it be harder on my arms and hands and jounts and RA? But then what if it's better for my long thick hair!? This is the debate going on in my head! I'm curious, since you've used both, what do you think? You have a much more informed opinion and I've been following your wavy curly hair journey from the beginning, so I tend to trust what you have to say! Anything would be helpful 🥰 Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you in advance for your help. Take care and God bless ❤
