It's incredible how this song is completely different from all of their precedent works, yet you hear it and it's instantly recognizable as a The Ocean song
The evolution of this band has been a real treat over the years. They’re always doing something new and it always works (for me, anyway). So excited for this release!
I've never heard of this band before. This song just randomly played on youtube and has now been on repeat. Time to explore their older stuff - can't wait! Thank you for this!
DO NOT let this band slip through your fingers. You’ve been lucky and accidentally got a taste, more than most people get, now hold on tight and get ready for the ride of your life
I advise you to go backwards album by album to their first recordings. To me Precambrian was the best but it was also the first album of theirs that I listened to. Baby duck syndrome at its best.
Its been over a decade and I can never seem to be less fascinated by the ocean. What a killer concept, musical piece and heartful statement about our state of humanity. Ahhhhhh
I just feel so lucky to have found The Ocean when Anthropocentric came out. I thought I was happy with what music they had to offer back then. That being said, the catalogue that this band has manifested since then is honestly as high a standard as I can personally conceive. They set the bar and elevate every damn time.

Demographic projections accounting for negligible senescence show that the population is under of no risk of exploding exponentially, since people in general prefer to have less children these days, if they can get away with it. Also, technological progress will likely allow us to sustain larger and growing populations faster than they can grow, anyhow. Lo que mas me gusta de este tipo de bandas y su música, es que no están saliendo 435 guitarristas, bateristas, etc de habitación en youtube haciendo el cover, cuándo ni ha durado 24 horas la canción en ser estrenada.

PARABIOSIS LYRICS:
„Our task is not to rediscover nature but to remake it.“
release
revive
reverse
retire
the hearse
give grace
it’s tough to stay in shape
regenerative medicine
we’re so focused on extending our lifespan
we mustn’t want everything
we mustn’t want everything we can
methuselahs of depravity
obsessed with youth and longevity
we must embrace the brevity
for the only way to end eternal life is suicide
let it all begin
just another time
sweet dreams…
let it all begin again
and never ever learn from our mistakes
let it all begin
picture a world when anybody, anywhere
anytime can rebuild an entire organ
all the way from a stem cell and regenerate
on command any metabolic process
revert back to pluripotent cells
and halt for good the ageing process
overcome, bend the laws of nature
parabiosis
reverse the curse of ageing
regrowing hair and youthful skin
instant rejuvenation to a younger state
parabiosis
regrowing hair and youthful skin
instant regeneration to a healthy state
ambrosia for each and for everyone of us
fix any part as often as you must
any broken part
homo deus
by removing death
from our lives
how different has our world become?
we stay young ’til thy kingdom come
face death, effacing death
from our every day lives,
tell me just how clean have we become?
how safe have we become?
how bleak has it become?
how dead have we become?
this is our earthly kingdom
we’ve settled down here to stay
for we shall live forever and a day
replenish, recharge our batteries
eternal youth at our fingertips
we mustn’t want everything
we mustn’t want everything we can
the illusive promise of paradise
representing a denial of earthly life
is no longer projected into the heavens
it’s embedded within earthly life itself
The narration blows a mind up!
