    I've been building 700 scale ships with photo etched parts for years and wanted to grab this kit for a quite a while but after seeing how fine the details are, I think I'll have to put the plan off first- it'll probably be gathering dust due to a lack of confidence on my part to even start work on it.
    Excellent job done on it though, hats off to you for pulling off such a wonderful job

    Fantastic! I'm a beginning modeler and am in the middle of my first 1/700 kit - a fairly simple Hasegawa Myoko...I spent 2 hours on masking the deck and still got some bleed through - I think I needed to use smaller pieces where possible- your "Sweet Mother..." moment let me know that even expert modeler like yourself have oopsies so I shouldn't beat myself up - the panel line applicator is great...I learned A LOT from this one - thank you and very well done!

      About 5 days. I painted as fast as I can.
      I knew the blu tack is not harmful to the painted surface but I didn't want to take any chance.
      Thank you for the compliment =)

    Is it me, or does Flyhawk make the best 1/700 naval models?

      I agree, they make best quality products.

    Amazing work! I'm just wondering why are you masking the deck with such small square pieces and not longer strips, does it serve a purpose;

      Thanks. I also used long strips when they are suitable. And simply most of times shorter ones were easy to use in my experience.

    Excellent work. Looks like a 1/350 scale kit when finished. What was your total build time? I will look for more of your builds. Thank you.

    I like to know how you manage not to knock any of those railings off during the assembly.

    Boy, this camo pattern, put on by the British, reminds me more of a cruise liner in the Caribbean. I think I like the old ww1 high contrast cubist thing was better. Maybe the Brits wanted to lull their opponents into daydreams of being in heaven, living on a glorious Caribbean hideaway, and all my sexy servants give me whatever libation I wish for.
    Keep them distracted in the north Atlantic.

    Why did you mask the deck?
    Sick work!

      To paint properly, there are some features on the deck and it isn't easy to paint with a brush.
      Thank you for the comment!

    I have subscribed also and could you tell me what the flags say? Brilliant work I bow down to your modelling skills.

      Honestly, I have no idea what the signal flags say.
