- Remember the group of adult bullsnakes we purchased last fall? Well, we decided to give them EPIC housing units. So, we purchased HUGE top-of-the-line racks from ARS Caging! We're incredibly impressed with these racks, and wanted to share our experience (and excitement) with you!

I always thought that racks were mean to the snakes in them, but seeing the way you put together these racks (and all your others) with enrichment, warmth, and hides really has opened my eyes to the fact that racks can be done well!! 💖💕

If you get the chance man try to go to a reptile show! They are usually $10 or less to go to and you can see a ton of cool reptiles and other exotics, plus some vendors may even let you hold the reptiles they have for sale. If you've saved up enough, there are also usually good deals on animals, feeders, and enclosures.
@@johnlarsen7068 Problem is that what they meant is that sometimes they don't make enough for themselves, imagine to take care of a pet.
On my country that is a huge nope for example, I can't in any way afford a snake, the upkeep would be almost the same as renting a room.

I love how you make racks properly! It's angering to me to see how some people have tiny racks with just a water bowl and a hide with no enrichment, but thankfully you put time and effort into giving the snakes all kinds of goodies!
I know this was four years ago but I agree, I hate people that don't use any enrichments, they just expect for the snake to be there curled up. Most of those people are breeders tho, people who don't really care about snakes, they just want the money

You are very well educated and pretty Emily and Ed is also very educated and calm. I love your reptiles. I used to have mixed feelings about snakes like I would admire them as a species but other than that I wouldn't give much thought to them unless someone gave me permission to handle theirs which of course i would do but then I found your channel and the knowledge you gave me about snakes helped me to like them more and now I am considering getting a corn snake as I have never had a snake before so it will be my first in the future.

So I’ve been watching this channel for awhile as a personal form of snake-phobia therapy and y’all have made a huge difference for me already!
I just got back home from Chicago and while we were there, we went to the Shedd Aquarium. They have this humongous anaconda on display and I was amazed at how calm and not freaked out I was! In the past I have always kept my distance from snakes and been panicky at just being in the same area as them. But I was able to stay calm and watch her enjoy her pool area. I was even able to correctly guess that she was about to go into shed (she had blue eye caps) before the worker nearby mentioned it!
Your channel has enabled me to see these amazing creatures for the animals they are and not as the terrifying monsters I thought they were. I still don’t want to own one and I’m not sure about touching one, but I am so grateful to be able to learn about and admire them without completely freaking out.
I give the credit all to you Emily for being so calm and chill and friendly with your snakes. Thank you so much!

It is obvious that you care for your animals well. You provide enrichment, adequate space, and hides which is far beyond what others provide. You also name your animals which I love. My mom is terrified of snakes too, but she let me get one because they're so low-maintenance and clean. Much easier than budgies! She made my dad and I sign a contract that promised if my snake ever escaped, my dad would put her up in a hotel until we found him... well, the few times he did escape, we just didn't tell her! :)
If you did some research, it's more likely a bull or gopher snake would be scared of your budgies than be a threat

I LOVE your content. Honestly, I love that you have so much respect for your animals. When i first started out when i was 15 (getting into reptiles) I found Brian barczyk and honestly... alot of information has come to light on that guy that made me very very sad. He does NOT respect the quality of life of his animals... and i no longer support him. Glad I have found your channel, keep doing what your doing
