  • Continuing my journey of organizing my shop I decided to make this simple card scraper storage for my French Cleat wall. I made it out of a simple piece of left over walnut wood scrap laying around. And while I was at it, I figured I would show you how I sharpen my card scrapers or cabinet scrapers as they're sometimes called.

    Cody was excited about the card scraper tool holder that's why he was panting! I tried to sharpen my card scrapers with a diamond stone, didn't work too well. Will try this burnishing method. :)

      Ya, that stone may get the edge flat but definitely need the burnishing tool to curl the edge over👍

    I love the unnecessary walnut. I just used a ton of unnecessary African mahogany for my metal lathe tool holders 😂

    Cody! Just tuned into your channel. I see you do cutting boards! I use my drumsander with 80 grit to flatten my endgrain boards. I use my low angle jack plane to knock down the lines left by the 80 grit. I've heard a few folks say to use a card scrapper. Any tips?

    • @LTDWoodworks
      @LTDWoodworks  3 года назад

      For me on cutting boards I stick with all sand paper. I go through the grits all the way to 300. And sometimes up to 6 or 800 if I have time. Never really used card scrapers on my boards but if you do it’s all about keeping them sharp 👍 Oh, and don’t forget to do a water pop after around 220 grit and re sand from there👍
