  • My next project in organizing my shop is this simple Japanese handsaw storage rack to go on my French cleat wall. Of course I had to use one of my most favorite woods which is walnut. Totally unnecessary, yes, but looks so nice!

Thanks! Ya, so far I really like them. They're less expensive then western saws and still easy to use. And maybe in small part I like things Japanese. My mom used to live there as a kid and I've been there once myself. I really love their traditional woodworking! Thanks again for watching!

The Japanese make the best a lot of things! Some of my favourite guitars are from the 90's and Japanese made 😊

I'm no where near as good as you with the saws, but I really like using the Japanese pull saws. Your design for the holder is great: simple, elegant, functional. New sub!

What did you bathe the wood in please, also I personally would have the teeth pointing to the wall as them Japanese saws are razor sharp,
I also suffer with benign essential tremor and I just know I would end up cutting myself with the teeth facing out 🤣

    • @LTDWoodworks

I make lots of cutting boards and charcuterie boards so I have that bin full of a couple of gallons of food grade mineral oil. Not sure why I had them facing out for those shots. My thumbnail pic has them facing in which is definitely the plan👍 And yes, these tremors make woodworking challenging but I still have fun! Thanks for watching!

Food grade mineral oil I keep around for cutting boards.
