Try pushing your dog at the start line at the fastcat events, might improve the times, and per AKC, totally acceptable

Thank you! I love that track too 😊 she has so much prey drive I didn't need to train her to do it but we are definitely learning the best ways to set her up for faster runs!

I have two dogs, different breeds similar size and want both to try it. Is it allowed to have different breeds at same event?
Yes! Every FastCAT I have been to is all breed, this includes mix breeds. All dogs do have to have an AKC number to participate. Dogs with non AKC registered parents and mix breeds can get AKC numbers under one of their registration programs.

It's mechanically operated with a motor and has a remote to control the speed
Prong collars can result in side effects such as depression, disempowerment, redirected aggression, deterioration of social relationships, and more.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I will continue to do what works best for my dogs.
@@TheButlerK9s Perhaps it “works” more quickly or easily than anything else you’ve tried, but that doesn’t mean it’s worth damaging your relationship with your dog, and potentially encouraging severe aggression and behavior issues, because it’s faster than real training.
@Meghan Browning I don't have any of those issues. Once again you are entitled to training your dogs how you want.
I want to get my Aussie into FASTCAT but unsure how to build the stamina. What do you do to build your dogs stamina?
Stamina isn't really needed in FastCAT as it's not a far distance, unlike Coursing where it's a longer distance. You do want to make sure your dog is in shape though. So make sure they are getting consistent exercise.
What if you don't have a catch person? I am a single old woman..travel alone
There are people there who will release your dog for you. Owner is always the catcher 😊
