Thanks for the review of this! I just bought it the other day. It seems to be getting good reviews from those that have received it. I just hope that binding survives in the long run. DC is pretty hit and miss with their massive omnibuses.
I just got into comics recently and 2 things already bother me: 1) Why don't they divide these huge omnibus's into 2 parts so it's erases a lot of the negatives and give us more cover art though the other books and the slipcover? This would also allow more comics to be included without worrying about size. I'm sure most people would pay a little more. 2) Why don't they make the pages slightly bigger and/or add a blank margin on the spine end to reduce or make gutter loss a non-issue? Good review man, just got this from Amazon for $60 after applying for the card so free. Just wish it didn't have those issues.
I have to say, my MOTU omnibus’s spine is fine. I can open page one, page five, page 22 and it stays open without manipulation. It just stays open. Maybe you just need to work it in more? Or maybe I just got a good copy? Or maybe you got a bunk copy? I don’t know. I do know you have experience working these things in so I’m sure you have it a stretching. But, as I said, my copy is fine so please y’all keep that in mind if this issue is keeping you fro purchasing this book.
This kinda book should come with a free digital backup to read on iPad. You're 100% with the spine issues, I wanna read this everywhere but at a table! Nice review 👏🏻
Marvel did that with their Platinum, Adamanitium, etc books which makes sense because they are huge. But I agree anything omnibus size and up should come with a digital copy code.

This omni has amazing stories, some of them really dark, totally worth it. I am waiting for DC to compile the now newly released stuff post this omni into the next omni, so I can collect that later. Probably DC might publish it in a decade I guess.
You have me interested in rewatching Masters of the Universe starring ivan drago lol I enjoyed that film,regardless of studio issues etc and I also grew up with he man,he was my conan 😎 might have to grab this and those power ranger books,I'll have to checkout your review on power rangers because I grew up off the series from the 90s.

Ha, I was about MOTU'ed out towards the end too. Skipped only Thundercats, but read the 80s cheese at the end. The more adult theme was a surprise.

They did spilt some batman books into more than one hardcover, called tales of the Batman I own some.
I would be all over that book if it were just a little bit bigger. How the fuck does one read that comfortably - give me the singles i tell yah.
