Yeah SNL is like a sports team, you root for them through thick and thin, and the cast are like players who start their career there then go pro by making movies. It's tradition and loyalty. I can't stand them now. They got so political, to quote Chevy, they forgot their most important ingredient, humor. But when MadTV was on, they were worlds funnier than SNL, but only lasted an hour.
Dilly Dally yes, they do include politics, but it is a lot more than that. Check out Kate McKinnon in “alien abduction” videos. Some of the funniest stuff ever.

I don't know who the bigger alcoholic was...Larry or Darrin. Both of them always had to have a drink. Read something of interest on a 5 minute or so facts of interest about the show. When kids weren't on the set, the actors had a tendency to drink real booze. And although Samantha didn't smoke, Liz did.

They do. The joke, though, is that Paul Lynde, who played Uncle Arthur on Bewitched, was gay in real life. Without knowing that, the joke isn't fully appreciated.
When she changed, no one noticed her race. I think Debra was the only character who had enough attitude for this part. Nicole is great, but if the roles were reversed she would not pull off the character as well as Debra.

Fun Fact: Well, more like sad fact. The original Darren was oftentimes working while on high doses of painkillers & often alcohol. Earlier in his acting career he suffered a severe back injury while performing a small stunt. Medical science not being what it is today his injury was never treated properly & most days on the set of Bewitched the poor Dick York was in agony. This is why he was eventually replaced with actor Dick Sargent (Darren #2) when he could no longer perform. Dick Sargent was fine but I don’t think he had the same onscreen chemistry with Elizabeth Montgomery (Samantha) as Dick York did.
They did a great job capturing the essence of most of the Bewitched shows and added a funny twist. Excellent acting and an excellent set for such a quick skit.
Recovering from a respiratory illness - this has put me back 3 weeks! I never expected it when she changed! Couldn't get my breath and sat with inhalers! We don't get Mad TV here in England - thank you for posting this. Greatly appreciated, though suffering through laughing!
