I recently bought a 2010 G6 4cyl flex fuel car and this will help me, thank you. I would just add it would probably be best to plug the oil filler cap back on as you are doing the job. I liked that you hold the ratchet so close to the head so as to not overtighten. I like to use only the extension without the ratchet handle to hand tighten the new plugs in to assure there's no cross threading. It helps to do the job on a totally cold engine so as to make sure the aluminum head, a soft metal, is not softened from engine heat which can cause crossthreading. For those that are not familiar, a perfect engines spark plug should have a brick reddish-brown coloration on the porcelain above the electrode. Spark plugs that are that color indicate a perfect operating temperature. Spark plugs come in longer porcelain (a colder plug) and shorter porcelain (a hotter plug). If you're a DIY mechanic, its beneficial to learn about "reading spark plugs", because they can tell you a lot about the engine, and a plug that is too hot (short porcelain) can destroy an engine, whilst a plug that is too cold (longer porcelain) can cause poorer gas mileage. Thanks again for the video, the youtube video contributors are like gold and have saved people much money through DIY activities.
That is another way of doing it but I think it is optional also another thing that is optional is before you take the spark plugs out to use compressed air to spray any dirt and debris that may try to fall down into the spark club wells. Anyways I appreciate your ideas and feedback. 👍✌️
good job man I'm sure this will help out somebody with this type of car of course it could help somebody with the ignition coils because they all pretty much come apart the same way
Any problems with the car after you changed them? Also, I changed the CVT solenoids and the first time I drove it there was a engine fluttering at first but eventually it went away. is that expected after this process too?
I’ve had it happen before for maybe the first 100 miles of driving or so, I considered it a break in phase. And nope no problems now all has been good.
It’s very dangerous if you smell gas it would mean it’s possible that you have a gas leak from somewhere and you need to figure out where that’s coming from as it could be very dangerous if there’s any kind of spark or fire it could ignite and be disastrous.
I like to do the plug at the same time one cylinder at a time and put that oil cap back on
There’s always more than one way to do the job. Whichever way you’re most comfortable with is the best. 👍
Well it looks pretty easy. I’ll change mine tomorrow so thanks for the video.
You’re welcome 👍
Much appreciated! Very helpful, tysm👍
Your Welcome ✌️👍

I always use anti seize lubricant when I install new spark plugs. Almost couldn't get them out on a. Car I didn't use it on. Also dielectric grease

Does fresh plugs and coils typically increase gas mileage?
Yes and can increase horsepower and makes it run smoother also.

Thank you so much for such a great job in instructing!!!❤❤❤❤👏👏👏

Great video!! How applicable is this to a 2006 pontiac g6? Is it generally the same process?

LaMbOfGoD8975 Yes Sir, pretty much the same process.
Hi All. I have a luck to buy a 2008 Pontiac G6 with the 2.4L engine. Im from Canada and the car as only 94 000 KM. Are these very reliable? Thanks
Daniel they seem to hold up pretty well from my experience.
I recommend using compressed air to clean off the engine before taking off the boot to ensure you drop nothing into the engine.
That is a good tip, thanks.
The hose connected to the engine, whats it called. I ripped the hose
Jose Orozco Which Jose? Is it to the left or the fright of the engine?
Mr. Goody the one in front
