This diorama is perfect. It captures Silent Hill SO well. Why is there a funky metal sheet on the wall? Why is there a body? Why does it simultaneously feel like I'm in a hospital and yet also an old elevator? And it almost feels like a transition between the hospital and the otherworld. So cool.
As an og fan of silent hill, you hit the nail on the head with matching the aesthetic. I’ve been wanting to make a silent hill room box for years. This is my new inspiration to get it done
The feel of this is so on point capturing the feel of Silent Hill, its really incredible. The realism of the cracks in the walls and the rust look so great. When the light is on, the way it illuminates the nook almost following the lines of the sloped grate at the back is a very nice detail. Also you have got so good at sculpting minitures, the two you made look very professional.
my favorite part is the closeup of the back of your hands while you work, lmao. no but genuinely this is GORGEOUS, I'd love to see a series of these or abandoned buildings/hallways. the rust and the distress of the walls is wonderful. the AESTHETIC is s-tier ✨
Your understanding of the Silent Hill aesthetic is SPOT ON!!! This was such an awesome video, well made, and I love to see how you use all these random bits and pieces to create an truly creepy diorama. I'm glad I stumbled upon this page... I can't believe you only have 23k subscribers. Now you have one more :)
Great work there, Dan. I loved some of the techniques you used, going to steal a few for making some Soviet era aircraft dioramas! Keep up the awesome work, good sir.
Love Cliffhanger! This project turned out absolutely incredible, you captured the vibe of the game super well! The layered details really sell the mood.
I always love how much effort you put into paint. It's the little things like the edge highlights to give depth to flat things. 100% I'd say this fits the mood/theme you were going for, mate.
Thank you Algorithm, for this lovely recommendation. Dan, your voice & vibe is exactly what I needed in this moment to carry on with my own crafting, so, thank you so much for all the amazing work you did on this video, and are sharing with us.
This is awesome Dan! I also enjoy making little miniatures like this but i always start from scratch using cardboard and paint to create everything, I didn't realise how we can use every little thing to create something new, your video has given me a lot of ideas and is really useful! Your work is lovely! ❤
I've tried the Mini Reciprocating Sander Set, and my teeth have never been cleaner. 10/10 👍 Seeing Licomscribe written out in that font makes it look like it is the name of an abandoned unitary authority that briefing existed during the early 1980s before being expunged from all records. The way that the nook slots in at the end is very satisfying. I think that the aesthetic of the piece can be described as Creepy AF.
Great video! I just found your channel through this vid and as a huge Silent Hill fan you perfectly captured the aesthetic of the game! Also, the tan Playmobil piece with the red top (that says Karl-August) is the bottom of a display case for a crown. I think it's part of a museum heist set or something. It makes sound too, kinda cool
Feeding the algorithm, like Dan his body-horror monsters in the basement :) Not much happening in the nook, but still manages to give a scary, creepy vibe, love it!!
Such an epic diorama, absolutely amazing! 🖤 That combined with the fact that your voice is smooth af and every second sentence is sarcasm is just *chefs kiss* 😂🤌🏻
This popped up in my recommended and at a wonderful time since I’m playing Silent Hill 2 remake and I’m near the end! It is so well done, and makes me think of the Brookhaven Hospital but the Otherworld’s version. Truly amazing sir Dan 👏
Dan, this is my first of your videos and I have to say, you are by far the oddest and funniest miniatures channel I've ever come across, thank you for making my day!
Ok I can literally smell the inside of this diorama room.😂.. dirty metal, rust and mold. This man is crazy talented. The dry sense of humor, the VHS 📼, and the silent hill. Why are there not more of this type human everywhere?? Well done! I have the same psycho house model i saw in your background there! It was so fun to put together.
This is my first time watching one of your videos, and I absolutely love your deadpan humour XD For example "If only we could taste with our eyes. I mean, like, literally, just rub food into your eyes." This is the kind of humour I love the most. Your voice stays so linear during the joke, so you'll only laugh if you're genuinely listening. Also your accent is beautiful.
just found your channel and I really enjoyed this video and your build. I know silent hill is supposed to be very dark, but it would have been lovely to see maybe one or two fairy lights to highlight the details hidden away in the back.
That was absorbing! Great modelling. So easy to watch. You have the same type of relaxing voice as Oddie Beau, the bloke on obsolete oddity. Your diorama represents the kind of place Oddie might talk about too. Gave you a like. 👍🙂👍
Nice work Mr. Does! Inspired by the DVD's on your shelf at the end... what about doing some kind of Event Horizon Diorama? Something with the ringed warp drive of doom with the room of spikes and Cenobite Sam Neil in? Go on, you know you want to!
Mate I just discovered your video(Channel) and I love your hilarious commentary. Every sentence you say I look forward to another joke or pun. It’s fun to watch and not to forget your crafting skills are fire. Glad I found your channel. Got really inspired as a big silent hill fan. Thank you and continue on making new content. Cheers🎉
Thankyou Mister Does. I enjoy your sketching videos but it was good to see you return to scratch building. Also I hope you didn't get too battered and bruised when you fell down the hill at the start because it was very funny and I wouldn't like to think that you were getting seriously hurt.
Wow, you look so much like bill making stuff. The style is also similar. At one point I even thought that you were the same person! I'm glad I found that channel, the videos are amazing!
What’s not to love, cheers for another ace video Dan. Your rust swill reminds me of Bill’s crustard but smoother. I suggest you call it “Creamy Rustard”

Really appreciate it
My thoughts exactly, definitely silent hill 4 vibes
the concrete walls are textured SO well, I can feel that cold, painted wall under my hand when I look at it.
I love what you did with the floor. Rusty metal peeking out between broken tiles is aesthetic perfection.
Thank you
i was crying...the "Little Dan on the Prairie" moment was soo touching, and beautiful.
Literally haven't laughed that hard today xd
As an og fan of silent hill, you hit the nail on the head with matching the aesthetic. I’ve been wanting to make a silent hill room box for years. This is my new inspiration to get it done
That's great. Thanks
This editing is so adhd coded and I appreciate that

Very kind
@@Dan_Does The moistness of the cracks is a great detail.
There's something about the way you say "junk hunt", like there's a millisecond less of a space between "junk" and "hunt" than there should be 🤭
my favorite part is the closeup of the back of your hands while you work, lmao.

I absolutely love when you go off on tangents while you're talking and editing! Don't apologize at all! It made me smile.

This was impressive Dan. You seriously took no shortcuts, and the end results show it!
Thanks buddy
PLEASE MAKE MORE BOOK NOOKS (no pressure :) )
Honestly this is some of the best book nook content I’ve ever seen.
Great work there, Dan. I loved some of the techniques you used, going to steal a few for making some Soviet era aircraft dioramas! Keep up the awesome work, good sir.
Great! Thank you
Love Cliffhanger! This project turned out absolutely incredible, you captured the vibe of the game super well! The layered details really sell the mood.
Thank you so much!
dan touching grass and an art shiv with no sound, dark days my brethren, dark days indeed, the 4.0 apocalypse awaits!
12:43 there is also a saying, measure once, cuss twice. It’s been engraved in my head for years
I always love how much effort you put into paint. It's the little things like the edge highlights to give depth to flat things. 100% I'd say this fits the mood/theme you were going for, mate.
Thank you so much!
So glad you "sang" my name in the manner it is supposed to be.
Another great video. Love watching you turn junk into gold. A nook to be proud of.
I've been singing it everytime I read it
❤@@Dan_Does
This looks so good!
"Gashlight the shit out of it!" caught me so off guard and made me cackle. 😂
Thank you Algorithm, for this lovely recommendation.

The detail is awesome! Great work buddy!
Cheers, bud
Makes me want to start hoarding junk so I can try my hand at diorama making too!
It's addictive

The thought of brushing your teeth with the thing made me physically shiver.
just discovered your channel. i love horror dioramas, but truly, what sold me is this intro. you are effortlessly funny.
My worst nightmare would be impossible to depict in a diorama because my biggest fear is time travel.
19:05 I’m subbing lol
The mix of the calming voice and sometimes off the wall comments and humor is 100% for me
Great video! I just found your channel through this vid and as a huge Silent Hill fan you perfectly captured the aesthetic of the game! Awesome, thank you!
Earned my subscription this morning, you're pretty funny and I like the processes you use when crafting.
In my restless dreams, I see this nook... great work Dan!
Ha, thanks

My pleasure!

your art is amazing but it is your voice over that made me subscribe, you are so charming and funny!
Wow, thank you!

I am so glad this video got recommended to me, I am absolutely subscribing
The fact that I saw the thumbnail and knew it was silent hill themed means you did a killer job, good work brother 🎉
Just found your channel randomly and I love it. This video is great and I love the humor mixed in. Makes it an entertaining watch
Awesome! Thank you!

The perfect shelf fit at the end is so satisfying!
Dan. As a man of a certain age, I totally get, and thank you for the,"little house on the prairie" snippet. It made me chuckle. Top bloke.
That was a pretty good Philomena Cunk impression in the intro lol
The tin man's condom LmFao I lost it there and laughed out loud, scaring the missus. Love the humor and work Dan, thanks again!!
Thanks for watching

Just found this channel after watching creepypasta related ones. Instantly hooked, his voice is like the perfect narrative ❤
This came out great! I'd love too see you make more Silent hill creations.

Today is a good day! New Dan Does videos always make for a good day.
Thank you
Nice work. It remainds me that Sepultura album cover: "Chaos AD"
The whole project is awesome, bit I love the rusty pipes and fan, those look fantastic!
Glad you like them!
Thankyou Mister Does. I enjoy your sketching videos but it was good to see you return to scratch building. Also I hope you didn't get too battered and bruised when you fell down the hill at the start because it was very funny and I wouldn't like to think that you were getting seriously hurt.
I actually did hurt myself
Oh dear. Hope you make a speedy recovery.
Like Jackie Chan, Dan suffers for our entertainment.
dang at 1:22 the little house on the prairie was a throw back
love wall texture making process!
Wow! This is so imaginative. I love creepy dioramas. Great stuff 😊
Amazing! You've definitely captured the Silent Hill atmosphere.
Thanks a lot!
We appreciate you too Dan! Great video…taking away the glasses wipe nugget
Great
Nice build.
The diorama

I’ve Just come across your channel today! Love it all, your work, your humour, your voice. Everything!!

@@Dan_Does thank you! Have you made any Ghoulies 3d printed figures?
Not yet. I made one out of clay, a while back
ah cool!
Great video. I really like this build. The atmosphere is off the charts with that light. A hoot as always.
Thanks a bunch!
Damn that looks amazing on the shelf! The lighting is simply perfect.
Thank you
Pancake batter makes awesome rust!!!

Gotta make more of this art style Dan
Wow! You took scraps and odds and ends to create a creepy scene straight out of Silent Hill!
It looks fantastic, Dan. Very cool!
Thanks a bunch!
Here from Ashens channel, definitely glad I checked you out!
This is the first video of yours I've ever seen, and you got me with the Little House on the Prarie music, lol.
Welcome
You can’t make fun of old ladies spending their time on craft when that is exactly what you’re doing lmao
This is the first vid that i watched from you. Proudly say you just earned a new subscriber!

No problem 👍
Nicely done! Your running commentary is a riot 🤣👏👏
Thanks! 😁
Wow, you look so much like bill making stuff. The style is also similar. At one point I even thought that you were the same person! I'm glad I found that channel, the videos are amazing!
We are twins
You are the Bob Ross of Bits!
So calming and informative at the same time! Just found you 2
I’m a Faux Designer. U R Amazing
Oh thank you!
The BurgKids bit was very Matt Berry of you Dan
What’s not to love, cheers for another ace video Dan. Your rust swill reminds me of Bill’s crustard but smoother. I suggest you call it “Creamy Rustard”
I'm in the process of making scenic bases for my Nurse and Pyramid Head figures so I'm glad this video found me. I likomscribed.
Glad it was helpful!
Intensive Silent Hill vibe. I love it.
Seconding this!
This really has more of a SH1 or 4 sort of vibe going on than SH2.
None the less, excellent job!
I disagree. Thanks
Great build Dan, Next one should be the Dog ending's control room as that should be the canonical silent hill 2 ending...
Turned out great and those monsters are awesome.
Indeed, it tuns out that Dan is a skilled 3D Modeller among his many other skills.
What an aesthetic video, very aesthetic
Pefect! I love the silent hill vibes (in a strange nostalgic way)
You nailed this and made a great quality vid ^.^
Thank you so much!
Wow this looks amazing, especially lit up at the end!
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful... and that soundtrack brings back memories...
THE BRAIN 😮 FROM THAT AWESOMELY BAD CANADIAN 80s B MOVIE 😮. Thats freaking awesome!!!!!
This gives me a Silent Hilly kind of vibe.
Great
I don't watch for the terrain, it's the production value is where the gold is 👍
The Little House on the Prairie opening killed me and it all just got better from there.
Fun build! Many lovley details
