Long Time fan of Dave... but when I heard the eulogy he gave Lemmy, some time back... man... was funny, heartfelt, and so damned real... THAT was one of the first moments I just got to know his soul even better... annnd also his telling of when Harper put $$ in a coffee cup for Paul McCarntey playing Lady Madonna on Dave's piano, in his house and his mind is just blown as Paul and his daughter write a song together during her first piano lesson (unplanned).

Without wanting to sound soft I'd just like to say that in my(humble) opinion Dave Grohl is one of the nicest bloke's in the music scene.
On radio 2 at the weekend he did a show playing and talking about his favourite Beatles songs.It was excellent.

I saw foo fighters in concert in Seattle on my bday a few years back.
I screamed! I hollered! I danced, and yelled. He looked at me and smiled several times. His music gets me so motivated! I love him!

Saw the Foo Fighters in Atlanta with my dad and brother.. I think about three years ago now... That was the best Concert I’ve been to.

As an Australian, I can tell you I’ve never met another that thought the ‘Beaconsfield miners’ were ‘heroes’. All they did was wait it out. The heroes got them out, provided nutrition and even company. They weren’t even appreciative of the honour Dave bestowed upon them, I’m almost certain one of them didn’t even turn up to the show to basically spend the evening with the band and see a gig from their perspective.
So don’t get all gooey over the fact they requested foo fighters music. Wouldn’t even go on an all expenses paid night out with the band. Heroes, my arse. Their only accomplishment was not eating each other.
Dave Grohl has become a favorite of mine …he’s a musical genius
Dave is a workaholic, and is driven like a truck. His music is so prolific, I don't think people even realize just how prolific his music really is. I mean, literally everything the guy touches turns to musical gold, whether it's Scream, Nirvana, the Foo Fighters, Them Crooked Vultures, Queens of the Stone Age, Probot, not to mention the nearly uncountable number of famous musicians he's played with. The guy's a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, has a form of Synesthesia, and definitely likes a good cup o' joe (see "Fresh Pots"). Sure wish he'd brand and sell his own coffee, I'd buy it! Not only that, but he's just a great all around guy, Mom raised him right, and let him find his own wings when he was just a kid! No wonder he's the "nicest guy in rock!"
He's not the reason why Nirvana was Nirvana, but ok.
I just read his book...WOW...took me two days...amazing stories...Dave's the man...

This video is poorly researched and put together. That is NOT his van (the falcon) and there are a ton of video and photos showing it. He does have a few cars, not those colors, he has big red Delicious, white limo and his many other cool rides. Do better research on his past bands and what you got right was not worded well. But he is the coolest dude in Rock and Roll, well..... period!
