I played this when i was 5 years old on the PS1 (obviously). my opinion is that the PS1 was the most fun console ever and this game is part of my childhood AND I FUCKING LOVE RUclips BECAUSE I CAN YET AGAIN WATCH SOMEONE COMPLETE THIS GAME LMAO!

Man... last time I'd played this, I was like 8 years old... I am 16 now. And I think this is the best ps1 game I've ever played! I miss this so much, and it brings back so many memories! I did borrow the game from my friend, but now we can't find it lol. It's just so sad that they can't make another Medievil game for the pc, xbox or ps2 ,ps3 ( ps4)... Or atleast they can start selling it again, or are they actually selling it? Idk...but I just want to say that I miss this game so much! This was one of the first games I ever got and definitely the first game I loved and completed (multiple times!) along with Tekken! So many memories, so much nostalgia! My favourite game to this day.

But I need a new disk my one is sooooo crap it's so jumpy and scratchy and it freezes heaps O.o thnx for uploading it helped with the dragon level I was stuck on! :D

This game and the second game were so fantastic. The soundtrack especially holds a special place in my heart - whoever wrote it had to have been a fan of Elfman. Also, to this day, I'll still spell "Medieval" wrong because of this game sometimes. lol
I just brought this game recently from London Exel Expo since I never quite got to play it very much as the other games growing up. What was cool about this copy was that I was able to get a free demo disc with it which gave me a bit of the blast from the past since I used to play the free demos all the time as a kid. There was one creepy demo advertising the Spice Girls game where they had gigantic heads for some reason and that with the PS1 graphics was pretty creepy because they looked so distorted and weird lol

I played it recently in Japanese because I managed to get a hold of the Japanese copy which has quite a few noticeable differences. Ooh. Pixelated Spice Girls, creepy. Haha. Did you ever play the weakest link for the PS1? The people in that look creepy too. Sorry if I'm firing too much at you. lol.
Yes, I did play it but got kind of stuck in the third level with bolders that keep killing me lol Yes, I am crap at this game (sad face) XD As for if there are any differences between English and Japanese I honestly cannot say since I never played the Japanese version but it does sound interesting :) Nope I never played the weakest link because it looked kind of rubbish but I guess some people like it so I won't judge. I'm not into trivial licensed games that reference what I already see on television unless it was a good product that can actually keep me invested but thats just me.

This game facinated me as a kid. I was into these kinds of things. More or less wanting to be a hero. I thought using your arm as a weapon was fucking hilarious
Great that this game isn't forgot yet. I loved it, it's sstill better than the most of the modern games. I like MediEvil better than all the games like COD the splinter cell series assins creed and all these things...
huge question :there are rumors about a code on how to open that door with the troll head poster in the sleeping village but i just could not get any info about it, is it true?
Greatest PS1 game IMO. Creative use of weapons, puzzles and chalices. Storyline was quite haunting and dark, especially when you get into that sleeping village. Sorry but I think the sequels do not hold a candle to this one.
i love them both equally for different reasons but i mostly prefer the psp version as it has a deeper story and is a bit more challenging but the ps1 version is also fun to play and brings back alot of memories of my childhood
they already made a medievil 3 in 2008 on psp but it was really a general disapointment for everyone because they turned this new game into a more "cute" version wich zombies look more cartoonish then scary and they took this dark gohtic style from the game replacing it with a more "kids" version style making the game looking like a joke unlike the medievil 1 and 2 masterpieces
