Aye. I stopped watching when the screen get blurry. Not able to chop trees in a survival game is dumb, but getting black out from hunger kill the game. I got motion induced sickness from the blurry screen. It's so unnatural. Please let the game stay dead or better cremated it.
I've played it before and it's a really bad hunting/survival game, they haven't updated the game in over a year It was just completely abandoned and boring
I've owned Journey of Life for a while now. It has gone through several updates. I'm not a fan of where it now. Used to be populated by many animals and the survival aspect was tough but rewarding.

What I really enjoyed was finding clay and making molds for the different tools. It really is or was when I played it in the past was a bare bones crafting system. I made some videos in 2019 which show how it was back then. I'll leave that to your discretion if you want to see them. I don't like linking in other peoples channels.
I actually preferred journey of life older version because it focused much more on realistic mechanisms. Like I actually had to build my stone furnace one stone at a time and stuff like that.

One critique, the zoom/ in and out as an effect, try something else. Also, if you havent played Fountain of youth or As I call it Animals gone insane, its lit.
I will defend open country, bc it needs more love. the depth it provides over-trumps the glaring minor flaws of movement. No other survival games take it to this level of complexity. I do have some tips: 1 full upgrade camps do not decay the Water barrel, Storage Box, or the Farming Plot. 2. Use the Crafting Quest to look for specific items when u have enough Stats for Hunter's Sense. 3 Eat Mushrooms and Tea for 7 days for special Achievements. Big Game Hunts are 100% worth it, -- skill point gains per hunt- 3-4 Big games per Area. If you want to live off the Land, Level the Under-Over Shotty and the Bow. Only ammo you will need is for the Under Over. Carry at 10 shots of the Shotgun w/ you at all times. -- for Big Game Hunts you will need to invest in the RIFLE. and buy the 'calls specifically for that hunt.'
Alot of walkie talkies in media aren't actually walkie talkies but rather UHF scanners, anyone who has used or heard much UHF chatter knows the npc mic near the start is super high quality lol
Goes in water and walks over dark circle that begins to darken more and more then grows teeth and looks like it about to….then cuts away to something else as if nothing of interest happened.
I actually love this game its the perfect mix... game relates to me bc i too work as a stock broker in real life but work for myself. Anyhue about this its a odd gem... but there no microsoft fillers in the map... you discover everything yourself... want to big game hunt, you learn the trails and have to track them and perform the calls in the game. Bushcraft is simple as long you have enough for your vision.. but getting a maxed out camp is the only way to make it for up to a week of in game time.
Unknown Planet makes me think a game made entirely of 3D scans of clay models made to look like a child's claymation project would be hilariously cool.
That banana tree he punched down was a palm tree... Bananas do not grow on palm trees... a banana tree is something you can one kick in half because it basically a giant blade of grass...

See I don’t always go off the reviews what someone may expect from a game another may find amazing. Some people look at gameplay others are hardcore in depth with what they see and find. I have played games that had some of the worst reviews but enjoyed playing and played games that everyone and their mothers play and I not a big fan of them

seeing Journey of Life makes me so sad, used to be such an amazing game, i loved the in depth survival aspects (akin to green hell with how detailed building things would be) and they just scrapped all of it for this garbage that it is now :(

Since rest is only a half finish game that they haven’t really updated much in the last 15 years since I first played I really don’t mind if other people copy it and use their ideas because they’re barely using their own ideas anyway
Me and my friend got this on ps4 a couple of months ago, looks like the servers are closed for it, we can’t even join each others session. Shame, looked chill but we wanted to play together, the game is useless for us.

I got open country so cheap on PSN, spent at least 20 hours on it, was ok. Hunting is so damn hard, shooting rabbits was crazy.

I mean yes there is a survival aspect in the fact you can make healing items but its not pure survival as it lacks certain mechanics
