Great video, as usual! Have you tried Excalidraw or Miro? I’m always trying to learn how to better integrate my PKM visual and text notes. I mostly use obsidian for majority of my PKM, but also use notion for content creation & team based work. I like how well integrated excalidraw is to obsidian but like Miro for notion embeds and on it’s own. Curious to know how you think they compare to scrintal or how you decided to use scrintal over other visual whiteboard platforms. ☺️ I need these visual tools for my neurodivergent brain! 👍♾
I have tried Both Excalidraw, and Miro and between those i actually prefer Draw.io for the interoperability of the files in obsidian with a plugin, as well as using them in VSCode and the web browser.
The downside of miro and excalidraw AFAIK is that they are not really focused to note taking, wiki links, and all the things scrintal, Heptabase, obsidian and other tools offer. I use them when I have to plan something without using notes. For example I recently made a board in miro where I added ideas, images and budget plans for my small business; my gf was able to enter as a teammate and give feedback.
@@BryanJenksCuirous to ask how would scrintal workflow compared to obsidian canvas workflow, just by the look of things, it had similar appearance but both have a bit things that the other don’t have. Would you think having scrintal help in the workflow in some ways?

Thanks for the video! I hope you do a similar breakdown of Heptabase which is similar to scrintal. Thank you!

@@BryanJenks Would love to have your opinion on Heptabase too

Can you tell me if its possible to Import and annotate pDf files? Best regards Michael
not as far as i know
I took a look, saw web app, that is a non-starter for me. I don't expose my work to the cloud. No way, no how. That's why I stick to Obisdian
Yeah web apps are not for everyone :)
