Look no further than Nazi Germany. They made massive political progress...no-compromises! Seriously, compromise is a key qualitative component to political progress. You don't want any level of "progress" without it. The logical leaps in this video don't seem in keeping with most of Naval's content. Regardless, thank you for posting, it really got me thinking.
Say you and I were in the era? What would the compromise have been? To only do half the damage that has been done? People should not have comromised with the fact that the majority of Nazi Germnay way of thinking was wrong.
There's also a difference between "you get this thing that you want and I get this separate thing that i want" compromise vs "lets figure out a solution in the middle that nobody really wants" compromise. This clip seems to refer to the latter while i'd assume Nazi germany didn't have either form of compromise. I think it was Andrew Yang who mentioned offhand in a podcast that the removal of earmarks in US federal govt essentially removed much of the former type of compromise because people on the other side of the aisle couldn't get any benefit for bills that they didn't "support" but otherwise weren't truly against.
Naval is the uncle we deserve. Thank you so much, Naval. Loads of love.
It's Nivi in the video
@@mayanksagar4066 nope its not nivi. sounds like Deutsh
Jeez that’s a really high standard for all the uncles out there
