Definitely my new channel!! I love that you mentioned adult learners in a different video. I took a couple of years of lessons in my mid 20’s. Then took a break and now I’m almost 50, and my daughter has been taking lessons, and I fell in love with it again and am practicing. More adult learning videos please. I love the content sir!

So happy you're here! Yes, I think a lot books, methods, and even RUclips content can be focused on beginners and children (or maybe only the other extreme of hyper advanced), but I've found a lot of my audience is really interested in intermediate levels which suits adults really well.

What a great video! and quite a rare subject:)
I'm sure there are a lot of people who are wanting to learn a Beethoven piece and are struggling to find something.
Beethoven is by far my favourite composer, I'm about 15+ years self-taught and it's really difficult to find something from Beethoven that isn't too difficult.
I've learned Op 27 No 2 1st and 2nd movements and Op 2 No 3 2nd movement (adagio), which is quite "easy" (it took me 2 months, practicing almost every day) - so I'd add that Op 2 No 3 also to this list.
One of my favourites would be Op 10 No 3 2nd movement - I haven't played it but it should be manageable (there are some fast sections but it souldn't be too hard).
My absolute favourite is Op 110 3rd movement from which I've managed to learn about first 2 pages... but this is in the difficult category - I just wanted to mention my favourite composition by him.

Thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed the video! Beethoven is my favorite composer as well. His music does tend to be really difficult so the word easy in this video is extremely relative, haha. If you've played Waldstein, some of the sonatas look not quite as massive.
There are a couple sonatinas, the Op 49s, some of the ecossaise, and random short pieces that range from intermediate to advanced, but most of his music isn't beginner friendly. That would actually be another fun idea, make a list of my favorite "non sonata" pieces by Beethoven that are more intermediate.
I love the pieces you named off. The last the sonatas, Op 109, 110, 111, are all incredible. You can never go wrong playing one of them.

Great video. I'm stuck on Prélude en Do Majeure of Bach, and really appreciated your video.
It is time to move on and between Bach and Beethoven...the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Hi, thanks for checking it out. I'm glad you liked it.
Most of the pieces here are harder than the Bach Prelude in C. If you give one a shot I'd probably try Moonlight. Also, I didn't include the Op 49 here, but those two sonatas, the sonatinas, or some ecossaise are good first Beethoven pieces too. Best of luck of congrats on playing some great music.

You know, I am an amateur organ player and have never taken any classes in piano music. And I have to say, the 1st movement of Moonlight is very approachable. Now I will have issues with the timing of the triplets and that G#dim7 (I think?) middle section is tricky too but I can play it OK-ish. Well, OK-ish for me to enjoy personally. Would I play it with other people around? Dunno. Maybe. I haven't thought about Pathétique 2nd movement but maybe I should try and see how that goes.

Thanks for watching. Organ is such a confusing instrument for us pianists. I took a semester of it in college and just embarrassed myself every week, haha. Very humbling.
If you know chords, I'd suggest learning that challenging section of Moonlight out of context first. Try that pattern with a major chord. 2 up, 1 down, 2 up, one down... So C Major, C G E C G E. Then start applying it to harder chords, like 7ths and diminished.
I bet that the middle movement of Pathetique would transfer relatively well to the organ. I say that because things are reachable without pedal, for the most part. Measure 3 could be a challenge to keep legato depending on hand size though. Let me know how it goes if you give it a shot.

@@ryanabshier Thank you for the tips. I will be sure to make use of them.
The only issue I have currently is that none of the organs I have access to have pedals so I know that Moonlight 1st movement has been rearranged to organ (bass in the pedals, triplets left hand and melody right hand) so measure 3 will be challenging. I can usually reach about a 9th so we shall see.
      Thanks again.

@@weepingscorpion8739 Good luck. As always, I'm sure it will require some magical organ tricks to make it legato. I'll have to try it out on my keyboard at some point. Turn on the organ sound and force myself to do all legato with my fingers.
