First off, the camera is DOWN HERE! Next, what is this flick remote and where do you get one?! Doesn't show up on any search... how could you post this video without this info
@@Tony-on-tech I'm trying hard here... that website says nothing about TV remotes - and you don't explain it either. You say you are using the Apple TV remote (in different casing for some reason) but how does that control my ONKYO reciever, internet tv box?! I bought the Sofabaton - it's useless, and I had all the Harmony's - which were great. So I don't understand the point of your review without this important information.
He is using a Flic button with a smart home system to control the lighting scenes. He is using an Apple TV remote and the CEC functionality of his receiver and the PS5 for everything else. There is no “flic remote”
@smarthometony You need to try a little harder. He clearly stated he uses automations with flic and provided you the website. That alone deserves a thank you. He presents an interesting solution which he freely shares, so chill out. If you can't figure it out, pay someone who can do it for you.
I watched your remote presentation very impressed with your theater room. I watched because my Harmony Pro sent warning Unable to Pair. Not sure how to fix or what replace remote that will work with my Harmony Pro Hub and charging station.
Thanks. I’ll eventually post a theater tour. Do you use Apple TV? Do you switch between many inputs? At first I felt like I was missing something, but I’m pretty happy with the simplicity of using the Siri Remote supported by a few automations. If you use many inputs or want something more traditional, I’ve heard good things about the new SofaBaton X1s and URC MX990.
Still using Harmony Elite. Since switching to Direct tv from Cox, the remotes touch screen for channel favorites works 50% of the time. Have tried different timing settings, but no luck. Really wish the Sofabaton (and is that the new x1s.) a good replacement. I don’t have an Apple TV.
SofaBaton is an OK option if you are using it with basic AV components… But in my opinion, if you were trying to also control lighting scenes and other smart goodies, it doesn’t compare to Harmony. It will do the job though. While it does have a screen, it’s not a touchscreen… That takes I’m getting used to, but it’s one less thing to break 😊
I currently have the Harmony Elite and I feel like the time for everything to stop is approaching soon. I see it based on its current performance. It’s lagging when I press anything on the remote and the Google assistant doesn’t seem to work like it used to. I did research on the Sofabaton and I guess they recently came out with the new remote the X1S that resolved the previous issues. So that’s what I’m installing tomorrow. I’ll give an update.
@@Tony-on-tech The X1S is 🔥🔥🔥. It was easy to install. No lag anytime I use the remote or my phone. Quick responses. Works excellent with my Google Assistant. Definitely worth the purchase. I’ve heard of horrible issues that went wrong with the X1 and this X1S solved every issue.

Thanks for the feedback. Review on the Flic switches coming soon. Stay tuned. Here’s a link for the website in the meantime. flic.io

@@nelsons151 thanks for watching and for the comment!
My Harmony remotes work, and the website is still functional. When Harmony drops the website, than I will consider something else!
Awesome! It’s still the king of remotes in my opinion. Enjoy!

Very interesting on how to use the Apple TV remote and the switches.

@@graffmixer fantastic!
Good luck. I could not get my X1S to even recognize my Xbox One. Guess what? My Harmony still does! Back to the Harmony!
