    Crazy question (maybe). I want to play around with making some adhesive stencils I can use for air brush tattooing for like theater and live roleplay. Like; cut the design, stick the black vinyl to the skin and spray inside the stencil with some airbrush tattoo makeup paint. But I'm having a real hard time finding out what kind of material to make stencils of 🤔 Do you know of any brand or something that is goo for this?

      @@Leablak I can’t find anything that’s specifically designed for this. But you might try the cricket removable vinyl. The vinyl in this video is a little stiff and doesn’t flex quite as well as cricket removable vinyl and I’m sure you’re going to want it to flex because skin has a lot of contour to it, at least that’s where I would start. If I ever come across something for this, I will definitely make a video on it. It’s a great idea.

    Don't know if I have a bad batch? However every time I use it, there is adhesive left ALL OVER the negative.
    PPG base, 3000 clear blocked flat with 1000 g for a smooth base.
    This is the low tack film and out of a 20' (?) roll I can't get away with anything over about a 2"x2" single use without the glue.

      Crazy I just started using this and had good results so far but I’m still on my first roll. Have you tried applying a little heat when you remove it?

    New subscriber, I am looking for a removable vinyl, tried Cricut's, but the thickness was too much. Do you know how thick it is compared to Circut's? I am looking to try it for my model building and by looking at the video, it seems very thin. I am just trying to avoid major paint build up. Thanks.

    • @reddirtdesigns7021
      @reddirtdesigns7021 4 месяца назад

      I think it might actually be just as thick. You may have already done this, but have you tried doing thinner coats? I used to paint too thick of coats which caused the buildup issue.

      @@reddirtdesigns7021 I’ve been using an airbrush and have found that the thinner the masking material, the less the build up I get. Thank you for the information!

    The quality has gone down hill. I ordered some,got it yesterday did a return today. Paper backing sticks to the standard grip mat so we'll it tears off. It bubbles going through the machine and the transfer tape doesn't stick it to.

      Well thats disappointing I haven’t had any trouble yet but I have a lot of it for a while so maybe that’s why sorry to hear that. We might need to keep an eye on how the quality is now on. I don’t like to recommend a bad quality product let me know if you come across a better quality vinyl and I’ll do the same. Thanks

      @@reddirtdesigns7021 om having mixed results. My first two cut with it were horrible. I tried the light cardboard setting and it trashed my cut. I did a custom setting with only 90 pressure and it's working so far except the new standard mat is way too sticky. I'll have to keep doing some cuts and figure out the failure percentage. It's a great deal of it works good enough.

    • @reddirtdesigns7021

      Ya I wonder if it has to do with the different types of cricket machines and the condition of the blade because pressure settings can be very sensitive. I hope you get it figured out. Good luck to you.

    I have the exact same stuff and when I went to peel it residue got stuck all over my gas tank. It was so hard to peel off. I sanded The clearcoat on the gas tank with 600 grit put the stencil on did airbrush and when I went to peel it off I couldn’t even peel it off I use a needle and I gouged everything it was so stressful I just had to restart over. That stuff does not peel off

    Sweet! I love the clean lines of vinyl but have trauma from 'low-tack' peeling bottom layers up. Looking forward to trying this!

    • @reddirtdesigns7021
      @reddirtdesigns7021 2 года назад

      If your bottom layers are peeling there are a couple of things that can help with that make sure That you’re getting good toothing On your primer for your base coat To get a good bite may have to go with a little More of a coarse sandpaper. Make sure you read your label and have the correct flash times flash/dry times. And also most importantly if it’s pealing hard put a tiny bit of heat to it and pull at angle. I’ve also noticed if you have two thick of paint it will bridge over the vinyl and cause it to peel there’s a science to all this lol good luck thanks for watching!
