- The Mario movie is something I am VERY excited for, and as we get closer and closer we seem to be hearing more and more cool things about it, so in light of that, I wanted to make a video discussing some hopes I have for the movie. Here are my 15 hopes for the Super Mario Bros. Movie!

With all the references and the fact thay Daisy's flower is in the first poster, I think she'll have a minor role in the movie. Luigi has to get a girl of his own too!

Idk if this is a weird hope, but I really hope Bowser’s crush on Peach is acknowledged in the movie. To me it’s one of his most endearing qualities and could give him some more depth. Not really sure how it would work out though since Peach doesn’t seem to get be getting kidnapped this time, but I hope there’s at least something 😅
Oh and also I hope there’s a reference to Daisy!
i personally think that in a possible sequel, thats when we will see my most hoped for characters (which are the koopalings, bowser jr, the wario brothers, and king boo).
maybe this time peach actually gets kidnapped by bowser and mario is forced to use his parkour and combat skills with his brother that peach taught him so mario can get through each world with some power ups, taking on all sorts of enemies. i also really hope to see items like the metal cap or the mega mushroom or stone mario in the first or second movie. it would be so sick.

Absolutely would love to see Paper Mario Partners and Shooting Star summit referenced! A 90 minute Mario Movie can pave the way for an animated series! :] oh and I would love for the post-ending credits scene to reference a different Nintendo universe…like Maybe Kirby or Metroid, tying Mario’s universe into the Rest of the Nintendo World (and making a Smash Bros movie a possibility ! :) ).
smash bros movie sounds really cool, like the nintendo cinematic universe version of the avengers
My biggest hope is that it’s good! And that we get a cool Zelda movie subsequently!
My hope is that with all the fan service aside, it can still be an enjoyable and compelling story and finally fleshing out the Mario characters after 38 years
I’m really hoping towards the end of the movie that there will be an epic one on one battle between Mario & Bowser

i kinda hope all the characters team up to fight against bowser and bowser bring his squad up to fight, that would be much more interesting considering there have been so many mario games where mario fights one on one with bowser
@@therealdaystudio I completely agree. All the characters are heroes in their own right and they deserve to shine. And it looks like by the trailer, all of them will join forces in their Karts on rainbow road.

If they have the audacity to remake the "Mario Mario, and Luigi Mario" joke from the live action movie, i would love this movie even more. It would be hilairous for me i swear.

I hope that at the end of the movie there’s a shot of the camera panning out and showing us a Lakitu who filmed the whole thing just like the camera for Mario 64.

I honestly think Funky Kong should have rode the Flame Runner in the Mario Kart scene to reference the popularity
Heres which ones came true (spoilers below, duh.)
1. Nope
2. In my opinion, the soundtrack is really good and the hope here was pretty spot on. Plenty of leitmotifs, but there are a couple "filler" songs with no real melody which feel like cheap attempts at making certain scenes feel "epic". They even reuse some other songs, namely the DK Rap from DK 64 and Fury Bowser 1 from Bowser's Fury, yet those aren't on the soundtrack. They still got it on spotify, however, which is certainly uncommon for something Nintendo-related.
3. There's the ones shown briefly in the travelling montage, the weird area at the start of the movie with the penguins, and the DK part, but aside from that not really. King Bob-omb does appear as well.
4. Not really. No F.L.U.D.D., Cappy, or the apricot-colored luma from galaxy. Yoshi is teased in the post-credits scene if you want to count that.'
5. The Ice Flower, Superstar, and Minimushroom are used on top of the ones that were shown at the time.
6. When toad's VA shows up in the credits the captain toad leitmotif plays so... sort of?
7. Yep!
8. A few, yeah. Mario does slide down a goal pole, but I can't name any other ones that are "iconic" scenes really.
9. Some concept art for Mario's bedroom does have Luigi's tennis racket in it, but aside from that they aren't refrenced in the film itself.
10. Aside from him being scared, being terrorized by undead enemies, and carrying a flashlight there aren't many connections to luigi's mansion in the movie.
11. Nope
12. Strangely, no.
13. Not to my knowledge.

Out of these, 8/15 came true! That is being very generous with what does count, however.
My hopes: feature jump up superstar for super mario Odyssey
Maybe the post credits could be bowser jr comes to help bowser to beat mario
A sequel based on Superstar Saga would be great!!!
I would like to see Mario meeting Sonic in one of these illumination Mario Movies
My biggest hope, which likely won't happening because it would be a extremely ballsy move, have Bowser WIN at the end.
This first movie could like a Prolog for a long movie series were the Bros. have to do a lot more growing and facing challenges before standing a chance against the mighty King of the Koopas.

Mario and Luigi vs Bowser towards the end of the movie is what we really need
My hope is that Yoshi appears in the movie. I know we already saw Yoshis in the second trailer but we still haven’t seen the green one. I’m hoping he appears. He’s my favorite character in the Super Mario bros franchise.
If Yoshi does appear, we need to see a Yoshi v Kamek fight to reference the Yoshi’s Island games!

my biggest hope for the movie is that it wont be ass. praying its gonna be good
I have my theory about Luma. We know that Luigi gets captured by Bowsers minions so he probably will be locked in a dungeon in some point. There he meets Luma who was captured by Bowser earlier. They talk, maybe try to escape together. Luma tells Luigi about "Mama" foreshadowing appearance of Rosalina in the next movie. So the toy would make sense.
I do still want some reference to the 1993 movie because lbh without that movie we wouldn't have this new one

The only hope I have is don’t friend zone Mario he’s already had enough trauma from the ending of super Mario odyssey please don’t do it to him again

We could maybe get a Wario and Waluigi spin-off where they end up in the mushroom kingdom after Mario and Luigi defeat Bowser. Maybe they could be mistaken for the Mario brothers and have to fight Bowser or an unknown threat, but they only do it for fame and money.
The best thing I could hope for is with every power-up they remix a theme from the game it was introduced in like
Wing cap theme with the wing cap
Smb3 overworld theme with the tanoki leaf
Smb1 overworld theme with the fire flower
Red star theme with the red star and etc
Fans are getting too carried away with wish and want lists for this movie. It only sets us up for disappointment. We should just appreciate the movie for what it is, instead of what we want it be. As long as it succeeds, we will see more of everything in the future. Let's just wait and see what they do here before reaching for the proverbial moon.
Pretty sure that Luigi dry bone scene is probably before he gets abducted. At least I think so...
Games are too big to be reveal in a movie setting. How about they just have movie related things at the end. I see them placing isle defino at a vacation trip after defeating bowser and galaxy as the surprise world that is not shown. It won’t be make sense if they left these two particular Mario games out.

3:24 Paper Mario and Mario are NOT the same character. If you played Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam you'd know Paper Mario lives in a separate universe.
Speaking of Captain Toad I really hope we get Captain Toad Treasure Tracker 2 sooner rather than later
Also I think you have the order wrong for luigi being captured. I feel like he gets captured after running away from the dry bones

I hope the reason Nintendo haven't given any news or hints toward a new Mario game, is because they're going to tease it in the post credits scene. That would be amazing!
Nah, they are just moved on from the switch so wait the next console to be reveal around fall 2023

I think you will have the various partner throughout the movie like cappy fludd and luma
For Funky Kong, I'd imagine he'd be more prominent in future films or even a DK spinoff film. As for the voice, I'd personally love someone like Scott Mescudi (Kid Cudi)
And Rosalina sounds like a great sequel tease character. I'd love someone like Michelle Yeoh or Angelina Jolie to voice her.
I'm just wondering how come we haven't seen Foreman spike in any trailers yet
He probably only shows up in the beginning of the movie and it's possible that one of his scenes contains a spoiler.

@@sahyrofilms It's possible that he'll play an important role in the plot, but won't have a lot of screen time, which could be why the trailers haven't shown him yet.

Honestly if there are Future Mario movies, I think Wario and Waluigi could be included. Instead being copycats, they are given their names by accident. Remember Mario and Luigi's old boss, Spike and how they were sick of working for him? I imagine as they leave, Spike ,as revenge, hires two different plumbers as their replacements. I would also find it funny if the original uniforms belonging to Mario and Luigi, when they worked for Spike, were originally yellow and purple. And I think it would be funny if those uniforms from when they used to work for Spike, were handed off to the new hires. As for how they get their names, I'd imagine because Spike has their original uniforms, he still has disdain for them leaving, resulting in him giving the new hires nicknames, Wario and Waluigi, as a sign of disrespect to the brothers names.
I really hope the post credit scene, would not be exactly a sequel to the Mario movie, but a Donkey Kong movie teaser, showing King K Rool. there are already rumours of a DK movie in development, so it's possible.
While I absolutely LOVE the music for this movie, I hope they make some new music exclusive to movie that isn’t reimagining already existing music.

I feel like I'm the only one concerned by how much is being shown to be in a 92 minute film. Too much at one time is a problem even with nearly 3 hour films.

The whole premise of this movie is Mario rescuing kingdoms taken over by Bowser. I think at one point one of them points out a kingdom called Hyrule on a map. I think at that point the audience will collectively lose their shit

I hope Mario doesn’t need help when he fights Bowser from Peach or the Toads. I’m fine with Luigi helping Mario out, that’s accurate to their relationship and to the games, but that’s the only exception for me. Mario is mostly capable on his own, but I know it’s in character for him to have help from his friends and bring his friends along.

I would really love the thunderhand and firebrand moves from the M&L spin offs to be in the movie. A scene implying/setting up a Super Paper Mario plot line would also be cool
