- Woodworking News for the second part of July 2021 covers what’s happening with lumber prices and other woodworking industry news like brand new clamps from Woodcraft and marking tools from Blue Spruce. This program is for those of us working in our shops wondering about what’s going on in the industry.
This is the second edition of Woodworking News. It will be published at least one a moth or even more often. The frequency depends on what is happening in the woodworking industry and how well this program in received by viewers.

Yes, it is. We’ve been having them down here in the western U.S.A. as well. That news piece literally showed up after I had the final edit ready to upload to RUclips. That’s why I made up the idea of a News Flash.
I’m getting some positive feedback on my Woodworking News so I’m planning on keeping it going. I just need more views to make it worthwhile.

Thanks for the encouraging remarks. While I’m now finally above the views threshold for monetization I still haven’t received an official notice from RUclips but I’m waiting until I’ve formed a separate business bank account so nothing is attached to our personal account. Pam and I plan to work on that in the next few couple of weeks.
@@wb_finewoodworking then that upsets me to see that they’ve put ads on your videos. Ads are supposed to be a partnership between you and RUclips. This is something I’ve also seen on my “Just Make Things” channel that hasn’t been monetized. Seems a little dirty, but what do I know.
I have an explosive project that’s 13 videos long that I’ve spent 6 months working on and am nearly finished with the two plans associated with it (I’ve had to learn HTML to put it together). It’s been difficult being a part of this wonderful community when I don’t feel like I’m contributing.

@@makethingswithrob I’m relieved that you’re OK. It irks me that RUclips has decided to put commercials on my videos but they own the platform. Whenever I can get a bank account set up I will be working on ways to make some money. Every little bit would help. I’d love to see what you’ve been working on.
