Until you see Sunbreak Apex Mizutsune. That guy busts out some Soulseer Mizutsune’s attacks. To be exact, it’s corkscrew and spinning tail slam ground pound, which is scary strong.
idk if i did something wrong, but i hated the apex monsters in base rise. i dont think they are a challenge, they were just annoying with how much of hp and dmg output they had. if i want hard fights, i want hard movesets etc and not just "ye it has more hp and it attacks do way too much dmg" (thats why i hate afflicted monsters too. not hard, just annoying designed imo) but maybe my armor was too bad for apexes. either that or they really do too much damage per hit

This boi makes not only ny favorite armor sets but gives you one of the best "Negative" Status Ailments in the game! And that's not getting into how nuts his violet cousin is! Yeah, I'm ready to dance to the death with you Mizu! If I ever get Stories, then I'm maining him!

You know, this actually brings up a great point. All *normal* Mizutsune we fight in the games are male. This isn't a normal Mizutsune, it's a different species of them. So, the question is whether or not Violet operates on the same sort of behavioral patterns as normal Mizutsune do.

I used to hate Rise's ost, but after buying the game and immersing myself in it, it's honestly amazing. I'm even getting past my biggest enemy, the *singing*. It's amazing what context and gameplay can do to music. Mizu's theme is one of my favorite's in Rise, and might even top the original for me.

1 year later, the dual blades mizu fight is still sooo satisfying with that dance fight feeling
One of my all time favorite monster, so elegant, delicate but fierce and one of the most beautiful ost in the game (after shantien and ceadeus ones)
