Yeah.. ur right, like everyone before us.. we all are in awe struck with what we see and hear
Sent to planet earth as young baby and disguised as a mild mannered rock star Kobato Miku fights a never ending struggle for truth, justice and hard rock. Look! Up in the sky. It's a bird. It's a plane. No. It's an 810 year old pigeon. Saw these young women in LA last September. And l will tell you, categorically, there is no finer hard rock band on the planet today. These women are in a league all their own and as far as l know only two rock bands have put out this amount of music in a comparable amount of time. With close to 100 recorded songs in just under seven years our ladies are now in the same grouping with the Rolling Stones and the Beatles as far as quality offerings in such a short period of time. Pretty nice neighborhood to live in. Lastly, l would be remiss if l did not mention Sakuramento wa Bando Meido ga daisuki! Sacramento does indeed love Band-Maid. Thank you for helping to promote my favorite hard rock band.
MISA!!!! MISA!!!!!! MISA!!!!!!!!! BAD ASS Bass Assassin. Akane is the only drummer that I know that smiles through out the entire 2 hour concert. Welcome to the world of Band-Maid. All 5 ladies are very talented musicians and mesh together very well. They are the saviors of Hard Rock that I grew up with in the 70's. You picked a very good video and get to see their special talents. I have seen them play in LA twice and they have so much fun playing and interact with their fans so well. Their MV are very good but their Live videos are better to react too. You need to check out the Live videos: Play, Onset, Take Me Higher, Don't You Tell Me, Puzzle, Moratorium, Choose Me, Real Existence, Freedom, YOLO............. just to get you started

3 of the best musicians in the world right here with a world class vocalist and a band founder and lead who has learned rhythm guitar in just a few years. There is nothing like Band Maid today. Onset Live. It’s an instrumental and required watching.

We should all just accept their domination and realize that they're all incredible musicians in this band. All their live stuff is really wonderful. The fact these ladies give people 2 hour long concerts and all their songs are at this level shows their dedication, too! I think this was like the 22nd song in that concert. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
7:00 In Japan, the light show comes with the venue. Now, I don't know if the people running the lights are the band's people or the venue's people, but I imagine it the venue's people.

So much talent! The name and image isn't coincidence.
Miku Kobato rythm-guitar/backing vox/spokes-pigeon (long story) had a failed career in a j-pop band, and had taken a job at a maid-themed cafè when she started to play With the thought of forming a band, so she met this talented guitarist named Kanami Tono on internet, who gave classes and put videos on youtube i believe? She got in touch With Akane Hirose who had been drumming for her at occacions, who again knew about MISA who she had been going to Music School With.
Miku was supposed to be the singer, but she found out that her voice lacked Power to match the band, so they had auditions and managed to "lure" Saiki into the band. If she knew about the maid-theme there is a fair chance she wouldn't join them. There is a reason why hers and MISAs "maid-uniform" is so different to the others.
Now they had 2 singers… and they didnt want Kobato to hang in the back, so Kanami gave her a course in guitar, which still to this day is going on, and has become quite a good rythmguitarist.
My recommendations: "Blooming", "Dice", "Moratorium" (live)…

In their livestream awhile back, Kanami's guitar channel didn't come through well, which was sad, but you heard more of the others, including Miku - and it was a great demonstration of how far she's come.

when you see other bandmaid song you will see that misa use a pick and palys the bass as a six strig
What is amazing is that this is the 22nd song out of 23 songs they played live on that night at their nearly 2 hours long concert. Those ladies gave as much energy as the first song they played that night. Looking back at hindsight, maybe more.

You sir are by far the best at reaction I have seen. You have fun and your Bass playing is top notch.
I saw Zeppelin in 1978...this band come in at the same level of Rock - a band of skilled (a couple of them classically trained) musicians who put more passion, skill and attitude into their songs than, well, anyone I can think of. THE best Rock band on Earth, basically. Could see ya appreciated every moment. They have great music videos but their live performances are always outstanding (and they do a 23 song set). Kanami, the very skilled lead guitarist, writes the music and lyrics mostly but they all contribute. Obviously, they're all extremely gorgeous too - certainly better looking than a bunch of blokes!
Speaking of Zeppelin - Jimmy Page is a fan of Band-Maid. He asked to meet with Akane after a concert and a pic was taken and he compared her playing to John Bonham's...
The moment he realizes it's an all girl band. His expression at around 1:50 ... Priceless 😁
This ain't just rock and roll this is rock 2.0. They put rock back on the map and taken it to a whole new level. Love Misa to death, very unique style of bass. Akane the drummer is my fave, but I'm partial to drummers. But damn, she needs to be officially labeled one of the best in the world. In the beginnings of their video Rinne(Reincarnation) I was almost litrally floored by her double bass. Check it out if you haven't yet.

Ive been a fan Since 2017. Shes been Learning from Kaname as they kept going. Miku truelly came a Long way
Band-Maid rocks ;) and they have a theme, in Japan they are called Idols.
The audience, their fans are called Masters and Mistresses.
The cool thing with their songs are that there are a lot of English phrases in the songs.
Miku on the guitar in the middle is the leader and main lyricist. Everyone contributes with their musical input. Saiki is the leadsinger (she's the youngest). Misa the Assassin is on bass, Kanami (wants to be like Santana) is the lead guitarist. Akane is a killer on the drums, I think she is more Metal than Rock as she's like Animal.

FYI there are over 100 all female rock/metal bands in Japan, there are also a fair few mixied groups. If you inclued J-pop then you get in to the thousands.

Especially I like SHOW-YA. SHOW-YA is the pioneer of japanese female metal bands. Vocal,guitar,bass,keyboard,drums, They are all talented musicians. Please react "Watashi wa arashi(2005 10 25 live)". "Watashi wa arashi" means "I am the storm". their sound is catchy and heavy. Guitar solo and bass solo(short!) are awesome.
