I am going to brush my teeth right now. Dry brush, swish water, spit, hot water brush, swish water, spit, hot water with tooth paste twice. Then floss, then listerine my teeth. Then swish water and spit after each meal.

Should never rinse your mouth after brushing .. just use normal water and floss . Make sure you do the bottom front well too apparently that’s a tricky area . I doubt though if you are careful that your teeth will look like this

Those are some tender looking gums. It must be difficult as a professional trying not to cause any pain.
They numb them up before they do it
@@amethystAnge7 I have never been numbed for a teeth cleaning procedure......however, I have never let it get to this extent.
@@benjimolina6959most people don’t require numbing. If it bothers you though, they can usually apply a topical anesthetic that wears off fairly quickly.
I have seen many developmentally delayed individuals w teeth like this. We never know what a persons situation is and why.
I do not understand how someone let their teeth get like this because it causes health issues. This is nothing but poor hygiene
, at its worst.
This happens a lot to people in hospital on ventilators for weeks and weeks. It happens to the homeless when they are either very old with demential or mentally unstable. There are many, many reasons.

How can someone with such bad Tartar and Gum disease have so few Cavities?
With tarter removed, teeth don't have support now.
As a Dental Hygienist practicing in the US, seeing xrays would be of great value. This is called a " gross debridement", well done by the practitioner! Just getting the large deposits off to get a better look. This person has a severe case of gum disease, and will likely lose some, or all of their teeth.
These poor people are often ashamed, and avoid seeing a Dentist. They have many reasons for not seeking help, sometimes they suffer from mental health issues........they need us NEVER to judge them. God bless this person for the courage it took to get some treatment.💜
I was wondering what the next steps are for this patient… it almost seemed like the teeth had more support before, what can be done to support the teeth after the cleaning?
@@peanutbutter46464 it’s fake where are the cavities ?
@@arlandolittle7625lol your dumb and it shows
@arlandolittle7625 The patient seems to have pretty serious gum disease considering how long the teeth look which is especially noticeable on the bottom. Their gums are receding away from the teeth as a result which means for most of this persons life the part of the teeth you see here were covered by their gums. Even though the tartar is severe those parts of the teeth have only been taking abuse since the gums receded so the enamel there hasnt quite been eaten through (yet). Does have a juicy cavity on the crown of one of their bottom incisors up front though

I’ve been severely depressed and have had times where I haven’t moved from one spot for hours or had a haircut for months. It’s absolutely awful and I can’t judge what this person has been through either. Maybe they are homeless or just weren’t taught how to care for their teeth. I’m glad this hygienist helped them. They took such great care to remove the tartar plaque and restore the smile. I follow Dr. Ellie’s program, with great results.

I was in streets and never my teeth are like that! I don't see dentist for 25 years, when he saw my mouth, he said "Waho, your teeth are very clean and strong! What? No dentist in 25 years? No way? They seem 10 years less than your age!" So, be outside is not the only point! No care! Maybe lazyness or depression!
Bless this person's heart. I genuinely feel so bad for anyone who suffers with lack of dental hygiene like this. Living in a glass house, I do my best to never pick up a stone - no judgment here, I have my own demons and issues. I have watched several of these and have not seen any information in the comments regarding the backstory. I know countless people fear going to the dentist and therefore do not. However, the majority still practice daily oral hygiene. Like hoarding, I am wondering if there is a unique underlying mental health disorder and this just happens to be the result. Regardless of the etiology, the results are amazing and life changing. Super happy for those who take this big step!
Or ever thought maybe these are people from a Third World country where a simple dental hygiene is an extreme luxury they simply can't afford. If you look closely, the dentist may be from Jakarta. Most videos here may very well be outreach missions to poor rural areas. Maybe.
Yes, you can suffer from depression or obsessive fears. Then something happens that mentally healthy people find difficult to understand.
@@mikealot35 Yes, my sister did five years of mission work in Chinendega, Nicaragua. She began her mission work five years previously digging ditches to lay water pipe since the residents had to carry buckets to and from the river over a mile from the town. Real familiar.
I worked with a woman who had extreme tartar, like this, and her two young children were beginning to present similarly. She drove a Mustang and owns her own house. Not in any poverty.
You ever think maybe that kinda happens elsewhere as well?? Maybe.
Absolutely agree. Sometimes people have such a fear of dentists that they can’t bring themselves to go. Hopefully this makes a huge difference in this persons health!!!

The gum and bone loss are significant even though the teeth are not bad the risk of loss is still high just from the gum disease.

Most of his teeth were wiggling. Aka need to be removed. He lost so much gum tissue also there is no saving his teeth. He has mass bone absorption so implants aren't likely either

When the gums bleed, some people become afraid to brush their teeth, because they don't realize brushing will improve the bleeding after a week or two.

Amazing transformation! Growing up we had a Lazy-Boy recliner that was SO comfortable, but was also pretty dirty. My mom used to jokingly say that she was afraid to get it cleaned because the dirt was probably the only think keeping the fabric together. I seriously wonder if the same could be said about the tartar and these teeth. I sincerely hope this person doesn't lose them.
Damn, how did this person live with the pain?
Excellent Dental Assistant, she doesn't miss anything!! Good job!!
My friend let her teeth get like this, a little worse actually. Told me the only thing holding her teeth in was the tartar. She died at 44 years old from stomach cancer. I think it had to have been from swallowing poison from her mouth all those years. There has to be a link there somewhere.
I totally agree.
Proven correlations between oral plaque and arteriosclerosis too, take care of your chompers!
I'm so sorry for your loss. She's way too young to have lost her life. I'd read and heard that inflammation in the body, too, may put one at risk of developing cancer, such as gastritis, for instance, which is supposed to be the inflammation of the lining of the stomach. Unfortunately, over time, chronic gastritis may reportedly change the cell structure to instead look more like intestinal (the intestines) cells (than stomach cells), which may apparently, in some, increase the chance of cancer. May your Dear Friend R.I.P. and her situation possibly help others to take care of their dental health, and thus, as well as overall health, as much as possible.

😂bec.of being protected by the strong tartar
The tartar was holding his teeth in place and now it's gone. Gums are rotted so some pressure and those teeth go bu bye
This is sad. You can tell by the lack of wear on the teeth that this is a young person. Even if unable to pay for dental care a toothbrush could help prevent this much tartar and scale. Even using a towel to wipe teeth would help. Very sad
In addition to a tooth brush he needs to learn how to properly floss with a good unwaxed floss.
Also be mindful that a person's mental health can play a major role in hygiene. It is not as simple as brushing your teeth to some people.
I can almost see the teeth standing on Tippy Toes with all that receding gum line. 😭

All the teeth were moving, and in these cases, they would fall off the next days, removing the tartar is useless in these cases since they were the only thing that keep the teeth in place, and without extreme sensitivity, this patient will require a full dental prosthesis soon.
Why bother doing this when xrays would of shown that the teeth would have little to zero support and should of just been pulled? How is it possible to have that much plaque and not a single rotten looking tooth?

Yes this is accumulated tarter. When someone doesn’t brush and floss then tarter starts to form. If they don’t brush for a long time, years, it builds up land causes the gums to recede. This patient has many loose teeth and they will need to be pulled. Unfortunately the gums will not grow back and strengthen the teeth.
