I was at this game! haha. I went with my uncle, who's a big talker, and a big Bears fan, haha. Damn, was it a fun one, even though they got close to scoring a TD both times they were in the red zone on my end, before the quarter ended haha. I recall not knowing Prince was their till I watched the highlights later.
@@johnswanson3741 Hard as hell to run through. That line was amazing when you consider Brian Robison was a backup end and he ended his career with 60 sacks.
Yeah I dont know what it is about these uniforms, but they just suit us perfectly. I love 'em. I think it has that old school vibe with the very dark purple helmets. If i was in the NFL.. definitely would wanna wear that get up at least once.
17 all the way. 09 and 98 were fun to watch, but both teams had massive problems on secondary defense. They made some big plays when it mattered, but consistency was always a problem for those defenses. Balance and depth win championships, not flash.
Clay Schwartzwalter on their best day it's the 09 Vikings by 50 against anybody. Unfortunately they weren't always at their best. Generally give me the 98 Vikings.
I was at that game, and when it went on the board that Favre to Harvin was his 500th total TD (492 passing, 8 rushing) the crowd exploded like we did earlier in week 3 that year against the 49ers.
Watching these videos just reminds me of how good and versatile Percy Garvin. It's just a shame that he ended up being a head case. Hell of a player though.
Brad Dillon Head case and overrated tbh. All of those guys were actually bagging groceries by 2011 but Harvin because he was on IR so much. That says alot about how good Favre made guys look.
Harvin was a great player. He was just a rookie in this season and to say Favre is the reason he was so good is laughable. Percy made so many big plays happen because he was incredibly skilled. Unfortunately his migraines were a very serious issue
@@60BloodyChamp60 Rice I felt was good as advertised, he just couldn't stay healthy there of up here in SEA. Shiancoe though DEFINITELY the biggest benefit that season. Farve, I don't know what it was, must've loved tossing footballs his way once they got in scoring position.
I forgot Sullivan on that O line played with Farve here, then helped the Rams reach a SB. That line was definitely more talented looking back then even given credit for. Both lines were good.
This has to be 2008 right? Pretty sure in 2009 the Vikes were playing at TCF Bank (U of M stadium) and when the bears came to town Favre got knocked out. Last time he ever played
@@UberVike Favres last game in his career was 2010 for the Vikes when he got knocked out at TCF stadium. They had to play there because the Metrodome collapsed that year
Talk about domination. In 2008, the Vikings slaughtered the Bears with a goal line stand and 99 yd TD. This game, they just obliterated any thought that the Bears were worth a shit. Talk about getting your taints handed to you. Urlacher does not have great memories of his years playing against the Vikings. I did like Lovie Smith, though, and thought he got a raw deal when he was fired after a 10-6 season. Then again, that's the fuckin Bears, isn't it?
I miss Longwell he was almost automatic and now whenever we have to kick anything I just might have a heart attack.
Kickers are unappreciated in the league. Consistent field goals are a luxury, and they win a lot of games.
Yeaa Longwell was a good hit..We Flat Out had a SQUAD in those year's/seasons
@@ivoryscott9430 still big fat 0 and 4 in the SB lol
Preet Shah he suck his last year with the vikes lol that’s why he retired or went to the seahawk and got beat by the bills kicker.

What a team. If ever a Vikings team in my life time deserved a ring it was this one. 98 was an amazing heartbreak too

Wow. Peterson fumbled. I just fell out of my chair in disbelief
Josh Doffing he fumbled 3 times in the NFC championship that year
How a guy that strong could fumble so often...
@Andrew K I think the sarcasm was lost on you.
@@andrewk1037 yeah.....I think you missed the joke in the original comment
Yup, in my opinion Peterson will be remembered for fumbling big games away. I don’t understand how a man so strong would fumble so much.

I felt the same way too when I got to that part.

Gorgeous uniforms
Agreed. The current uniforms are hideous, I wish the Vikings would use these full time!

R.I.P Indeed purple🌧
as a bear fan, I can see how strong are the shoulders of both qb. It's hard to find that velocity in recent days.
The 98' season and 09' season was the best I've seen I love Brett Favre!
It might be a cutout...
😂😂😂
Vikings 09 vs Vikings 98 vs Vikings 17. who you got? Closer than some people would probably want to admit.
Kevin Hearn I'll take the '98 O-line all day.
'98 and '09 definitely had more offensive power, but I think this '17 squad is a more complete team overall.

The Media Critic Reloaded this was the game that started to expose our secondary. Griffin only got his INT because they ran that same play before.

That cold icy blank look in jay cutlers eyes after he trows touchdown passes or wins/looses a game says it all

Imagine if birk stayed, Sullivan was good but birk was one of the best centers in the 2000s
I know we're 10-3 currently, but why can't we be like this Vikings team?!
No defense or oline or a qb that can win the big game
I loved those alt uniforms from the late 2000s.
Prince loved the Vikings.

Sidney rice what a player
Man i loved chester taylor
Jared Allen. The Galleria Of Vikings Defensive Ends.
Hahahahaha💀🔥

What a fun year
Percy Harvin was so damn good, doesn’t get enough love
He had all the talent in the world but injuries
Every time the Vikings have a really good season they follow it up with a dud the next season going back to 98’, sad 😞
