When you go back and rewatch this episode, really pay attention to when Thaddeus and Mary are talking while Jesus is standing in front of the vases of water. He is talking about when cutting the first cut in the stone and how you can’t go back. Jesus is the cornerstone. Once he makes that “cut” of turning water into wine, there is no going back. There is so much depth to that scene. I love this show and have watched it many times. Each time, you catch something new. I love watching your take on it and your desire to learn and grow. God bless!
I was going to share the same thing, but not quite as well as you did. I really love how they put that together as Jesus' first public miracle started everything and Jesus got that little extra push from God through mom to start. Also, in case no one else mentioned it, AD=anno Domini, Medieval Latin, meaning "in the year of our Lord". Love watching this with you, even if I am a little delayed.
Also, the water turned into wine is a symbol of his blood and the usage of the purification vases symbolizes the way he abided and used the law to show himself as the lamb that purifies us through his blood.
the parallel between what thaddeus was saying about the stone cutting and jesus turning water into wine was one of my favorite parts of this episode. the fact that jesus was hesitant because he knew that this one semi-public miracle would begin the journey towards his death was so telling of his own humanity. then he readies himself and tells God that he's ready to embark on this painful road; it was so beautiful. sorry for the long comment!
...because He knew that this one semi-public miracle would begin the journey towards his death was so telling..... I could see Jesus making the connection between this miracle and his death when he let the wine flow from his hand, as his blood would soon do when nailed to the cross. Perhaps He thought of what He would soon say about his wine at the Last Supper, "This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins." NIV Matt 26:28
I love how she says “I bet he’s handsome” but scripture indicates he wasn’t much to look at (Isaiah 53). But it describes his true beauty, and his sacrifice, his perfection, and his love.
"For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him." -Isaiah 53
Peter had an amazing wife for sure. Story has it that after Jesus death his wife wrote him a letter to encourage his faith and not to deny Jesus a second time. That was how Peter got enough courage and was crucified even facing down.
This episode tears me up. Here his mother pushes the button on the count-down clock on his life. Once He goes public, he can't undo it. The rest is history. It led quickly to his torture & horrendous death. I'm a mess every time I see this episode because I know what's to come. "I am ready, Father." Again, it rocks me to my core. He accepts it.
also, one of my favorite parts of this episode has to do with Abner. I only noticed after about 4 times watching. He brings his own gold cup to the weding and drinks out of it until the miracle wine is posted. That he drinks from the humble clay jar, and his heart is changed. It is such a lovely moment and is a great example of the awesome level of the writing of this series.
Audrey, thanks a lot for this observation on Abner. I’ve seen this episode a few times and hadn’t realized he was drinking heaven’s wine from the clay jar 🏺 (2 Cor. 4:7) 🙌🏻🌈 PTL
"We have this treasure in clay vessels..." Such a great observation. I just love digging these gems out of each episode! I hadn't seen this one with Abner :)
Leonardo, I love your idea that there was mystery in the way that Jesus turned the water to wine, but there is another bit of symbolism to me. Just as the lowliest people (shepherds) were the first to know that Jesus was born, so it was at the marriage in Cana; the servants were the first to know that Jesus had made a public miracle. Also, the jars were for purification under Jewish law, which means they could NEVER have something in them except the purification water. When Jesus chose those vessels in which to create His miracle, He was saying that He had come to do a new thing in the world. So many symbols.
I immediately fell in love with the chosen when I watched the christmas special. It is such an amazing. Inspired idea and the perspectives it shows i find so interesting as a christian. It is very thought provoking as to what other perspectives there were besides what is described in the bible. Love it! And their devotional is awesome as well!
I really enjoyed watching your reaction to this fantastic show. I was an investor in the project, and am continually overjoyed to see more people finding the show. I hope you come to know the One whom the whole show is about for real. He is the greatest person of all time. Peace to you, and keep watching!
Daniel that’s my prayer as well that Leonardo will realize that Jesus is the Living Water That First will quench his thirst of being forgiven for his sins, and then accepting Jesus as his Savior so that he will never “thirst” again! Leonardo, I pray for you often to see the Light And accept His shed blood on the cross for you !
However, he is an atheist. I think God chose him to help him understand who he is, a child of God. Our time is short here. Jesus is coming very, very soon. Look up, your redemption is nigh.
It’s encouraging that you are watching the Chosen. I feel like I was among those suggesting it to you. I have been trying to share the gospel with my friends and family and have been extremely discouraged and feeling fruitless since no one has seems very receptive. God bless you Leonardo and familia who have been encouraging him. Thank you for your rawness, vulnerability Nd receptiveness to all this. I pray your journey fruitful for His glory.
I really appreciate the fact that they kept the traditional tune for the songs, but translated them to English, so the audience would know what they were singing; as with the prayers.
It would be really neat if you were to read the Bible passages that inspired each episode! It would give you insight into the director's choice of creative liberty and how they used scripture to create plausible scenarios for the characters. For example, Thomas is not mentioned in this particular story in the Bible, but he was infamously remembered as the disciple who doubted that Jesus had risen later on. So the director used scripture as inspiration to for a plausible back story for his character. You will also find that when the dialogue really matters, they do a great job holding true to the message of the gospels.
Yes, it is Biblical! Dallas Jenkins has a team of 7 (Rabbi's, Christian leaders, etc...) to consult with on ALL the accuracy of the Story of Jesus. He did NOT want to get anything wrong. You should watch the interview Dallas Jenkins has with Jonathan (Jesus) - such a HUMBLE actor in real life. It will make you cry to watch the interview.
I was raised Catholic and I was taught that one of the many things the wedding was meant to teach us was that when we pray to Mary she intercedes on our behalf to Jesus does as she requests because he loves, honors, and respects her as his mother (read: God is a momma's boy)
You need to see all the interviews! There are tons and they are WONDERFUL!!! I have seen Season One - all the episodes and have helped fund through Season 2 - Episode 2. You need to see the latest where the production, director/writer (Dallas Jenkins/wife and friend) has procured to film! It is here in the United States and a "TOTAL MIND-BLOWN" piece of information. Yeshua (Jesus in Hebrew) is definitely performing much Divine Intervention for this series to be filmed, produced, "streamed" live around the globe - just for people like yourself, Leo. To see how Yeshua came to show humans the truth by being one of them in the midst of being Hashem (G-d). Thank you for you, Leo! I have subscribed to your channel and thank you, for bringing the Truth and Light to the world!!!
You deserve all of the subscribers, my guy. Your attitude and your openness to even consider doing stuff like this is truly inspiring. The world needs more people like you ❤️ GOD BLESS
I love to watch the show with your commentary - to hear you talk about what you observe, the points you make are brilliant and show so much of your kind and thoughtful heart. thank you for this experience. :) ( greetings from Austria by the way)
Luke 2:41-52 tells the story of Jesus going to the temple while His parents were looking for Him. Verse 51 said He was subject unto them. He wanted, it seems to start his ministry when He was 12 but His parents told Him no. John 2: 1-5 tells how His mother told Him to fix the wine problem. Verse 4 Jesus says His time has not come yet and verse 5 she did not respond to Him but told the servants to do what He said.
Did you catch the correlation of stone crafting and what was happening with Jesus? I love it!!! Christ knew what He was doing..what He was starting! He still did it! Not just for His mother but for us!!!!! Praise Him!
I love Simon Peter and Eden’s relationship. The characters were real and interesting from the start. I think this is my favorite of their scenes. The actor playing Peter is just fantastic here. That bit of dialogue could have been played so poorly. But it was engaging and real. The acting is just amazing. And most definitely He did Hid first miracle at the request of His mother. It’s in the second chapter of the Gospel of John. The dialogue is quite close to what’s in scripture. She asked Him and then to,d the others to “do whoever He tells you”
We will never stop watching Yeshua! That is the point...it will be into eternity. We are not the Creature of the Universes, Heavens and Earth. HE (Hashem/Adonai) is so much bigger than we. Our brains cannot even comprehend everything we will be learning while worshiping HIM.
Loved your reaction to the powerful incredible Jesus & Nicodemus meeting. I sobbed all over again. Love this series, its gotten me thru a hard time almost 2 yrs ago. By the way I refer to that meeting as " Nic at Nite"! ;)
I love every episode....but my absolute favorite is episode 6... when Jesus meets the leper....and the paralytic. In episode 7, His talk with Nicodemus, oh my gosh...I cry like a baby every time I watch it.
When you asked if Mary had asked Jesus of the wine in the Bible, it is noted in the book John 2:3 - and Jesus and His disciples had also been invited to the wedding. 3When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to Him, “They have no more wine. 4“Woman, why does this concern us?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come". I'm working to become Catholic and one thing I've heard is the Holy Trinity, God Christ & the Holy Spirit can not say no to Mary. Watch the look Christ gives her after she repeats the words he said to her when younger.
@Isaac Welch fr it's sad when they try to portray God as being subject to a human woman. She's the Mother of Jesus. Big honor, but leave it at that. Especially since Jesus said that the women who obey him are more blessed than Mary. Then He said we are all His brothers, am I allowed to call myself the Brother of God? It makes no sense to me honestly
The commentary when he turns the water into wine..the granite comparison means so much. He know that when he does this, it's taking the next level to him giving his life to us. How hard that must have been, can you imagine? Being human & knowing so much? Knowing you will give your pain and life for all others. I am so thankful for his sacrifice!
59:57 that's where my goosebumps and tears started both at same time. I used to have those two emotions at the same time whenever I read that exact portion in the Bible too. What a women Mother Mary was... Bible's most beautiful and sacrificial lady it's Jesus's Mother. Ave Maria.
I have watched this show every Saturday and some days in between. I am so glad to see you doing this and I love seeing and hearing you as you see it for the first time.
If you watch the RUclips version of the episode, they usually do an interview with various actors afterward which give away little or no spoilers. Usually the spoilers that are there are just sort of what you likely already know.
@Leonardo Torres music your commentary had me laughing!😂 I'm loving every episode of this CHOSEN series. They did it so biblically accurate and have chosen excellent actors to play all these parts... makes the bible come alive!!🥰🙏🏻
I so much enjoy watching alle episodes on your channel. Thank you very much for every stop, question, remark, silence - many greetings to you and Erika and La Familia 😊
I loved the symbolism of the wine dripping from his clenched hand around 1:08. As many others have pointed out, it was fully intentional that they are talking about the permenancy of the first cut in stone and how that parallels how he couldn't go back after this first public miracle. The wine dripping from his hand was a clear picture of the path his ministry was going to take him, specifically, to the dripping blood from his hand on the cross.
God bless you! I hope you continue to learn and grow with Jesus by your side.. He's already changing you through this show :) so glad.... That's John the baptizer.. Amazing minister he was
One that I liked was the interview with the producer Dallas Jenkins and the actor for Jesus, Jonathan Roumi talking about the production and the stress of playing Jesus. Its in the youtube channel of The Chosen
Someone’s cutting onions in my house!!! 😭. Inlove this show. I was so lost. Jesus is such a savour. What a comforter. I feel His hugs when I watch this.
Here i am following you now through episode 5 when there are over 430,000,000 viewers and season 3 will be airing in November. Again, I have such joy in watching you watch these amazing scenes, writing and acting. You catch everything that I have found quite extra - ordinary about The Chosen. I felt you really were present with one of my favorite scenes with Eden and Simon Peter; sensitive, beautiful, simple and delicious. And yes the humor and Jesus telling jokes. All perfect. I am on to Episode 6! See you there!
Dear Leonardo, thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and comments and asking questions as you "journey" with The Chosen. My husband and I have watched all Episodes in Season 1 many times unpacking the layers and layers of meaning behind them all. We have purchased the regular DVD set for family members as gifts and recently purchased the special edition DVD of Season 1. It's incredible! You can dive into behind the scenes cool stuff and even when you watch an episode you can choose to have comments from Dallas along the way (for most of them) or in-sight tracks (on all of them). We have immensely enjoyed a lot from the in-sight tracks. There is so much biblically based things done in each episode, and the tracks also provide definitions for some of the words that we hear, as well as funny side comments that make us laugh. It was $50 and one of the best investments we have ever made! Mother Mary is beautifully portrayed in The Chosen and the love He has for His Mother is so very special, powerful. We are practicing Catholics and have recommended The Chosen to all our Catholic friends. And we tell others too! We wear our Chosen t-shirts a lot and they are great conversation starters! We have the app on our phone and have had no problems using it. God bless you brother as you draw closer to our LORD!
The reason why I think the first public miracle was to make wine from water, was because of their prayer... Bringer of the fruit of the vine (Wine)... To say: "Well, here I AM"
Eden's reaction to Simon's announcement that he was going to be a follower of the Messiah is evidence of HER relationship with God and trust in Him. She recognized that Simon was not in union with God and that now Simon is returning to Him by following Jesus. He prayers are answered to have the man she married back and that Simon's potential is recognized, not just by her, and of course by His Creator, but by Simon who has had a glimpse of the potential of life when lived in union with God.
You should watch BEFORE THE WRATH, it explains a Galilean wedding. Jesus explained his return as a Galilean wedding. The disciples were from Galilee. The custom in Galilee is different than Judea or Israel. Which made the miracle of water to wine important as His first semipublic miracle important.
My favorite are all of them… you can see many promos on RUclips. I tell you, this series has totally changed my life. This made me realize that Our Savior was not someone that was hard to please.
Leo, your comment about doubting just gave me the thought that we all need weakness and strengths so we can help on another. Without the weakness we wouldn't have to rely on Faith and each other. Most importantly, the whole reason why Christ came down to help us through His Atonement and then His Resurrection was so that he could help succor (aka run to aid) us so that we could rely on him Because of our weakness. Also, I agree with others that I love the different symbolisms in this story. It was cool for me to learn more about the history of Stone work and the connection they choose to make in the Miracle of the Wine. I also like when viewers pointed out how the servants first witnessed Christ's Miracle and how the Bride's father shone his humility, not only in his words, but in the item of container he drank from which contained the Miracle Wine.
The director Dallas Jenkins interviewed their 3 biblical consultants a Catholic Priest A Jewish Rabbi and an Evangelical Christian. The interview gives you a glimpse in to how much detail and respect was paid to this...
Just a sidenote: the Jewish Rabbi is a Messianic Jewish Rabbi - meaning he is a believer in and follower of the Messiah Yeshua (I didn't want anyone getting up-in-arms about that point 😉)
I love that we got to see Joseph. God asked a lot of that man and it took a lot of faith and understanding to accept it and the pregnancy of Mary. I'm glad we got to see him act fatherly to Jesus and was happy to see Jesus showed him the respect one would show their dad. Very powerful short scene
I love the part of how Mary asks Jesus and even when Jesus said that it wasn’t the time, Jesus made an exception for his mom because she is so special for him. However, I can also see Catholic has taken this out of context, so they believe by praying to Mary, Jesus will hear our prayers. In reality we all can ask to Jesus ourselves and ask him the same way Mary did. Trust me…. God has done wonders in my life.
Blessed are You, LORD our God, King of the universe, who brings forth the “fruit of the vine.” We know this as wine. What did Christ refer to Himself as? The Vine. The fruit of the Vine. The blood of Jesus! Glory to His holy name!
Today….most women are the grandchildren of liberated women from the 60s and early 70s…..unfortunately. 😕. It would be awesome if women today loved being a woman!
I am not sure what he is hesitant about, but he is fighting to not believe. He seems to think that these are characters in a show he is watching and that is all. This show is meant to tell us today that these were real people not charactors. It's so strong in my heart to tell him to look around himself honestly look at the world and see that this show is telling him a story of the true past. There are other stories in the bible that tell of this time too. Time is to short to scoff. I'm not sure this show is good for everyone (though I love it), we know most movies are fake stories. Making movies about Jesus puts Him in the realm of imagination for some people. I see the way he constantly comments on the lighting, colors, and music. He asks for money to support his channel. At the end here he even suggests that because Thomas questioned... I pray for this man, I pray that the seeds are planted despite his resistance. I pray that in the quiet of watching this in his own time and not in front of many viewers he hears the voice of the Lord, reads the bible and begins the journey. It is a personal relationship afterall. 😇🙏🙌 God bless! I feel the same way!
@@howdyyall417 yes i agree and pray. I even stopped following him as i was having trouble seeing that same title and also that building a platform on this music that is made for worshipping our King not for wordly music appreciation. Oh dear we pray for all the lost to be saved
His mom did ask Him about the wine. However....Jesus' reply was "Woman, what does this have to do with me, my hour has not yet come. " Then Mary turned and told the servants "Do whatever He tells you !"
One person that has been discussing 'The Chosen' on RUclips is Brandon Robbins. He is worth watching because of the Jewish traditions at that time, and helps one understand what is happening in some of the scenes.
Hola! Happy to be a member of la familia. Check out 'The Chosen' youtube channel. They have everything you'd ever want to see about season one and they are starting to talk about season 2. The Chosen has been a blessing to me. Dios te bendiga hermano.
"Grafted" on RUclips is awesome! They do live reactions to 4 or 5 clips. It's extremely interesting because they are from a Messianic Jewish church, and they have great historical info and are knowledgeable regarding the jewish traditions and even the Jerusalem area. Excellent and worth the watch!! Love your show as well, sincere and honest 👏
"ahhh ooo eeee aahhhhh" lol john burned nichodemus may The Lord open the eyes of those who don't see so they'll see how much He truly loves em in Jesus name amen
Whoever reads this, know that this testimony is true: I have suffered greatly through my life. With abuse when I was younger by multiple sources. I was beat plenty of times to the point where I'd fear my parent in question, bloody noses, hit with various inadminate objects, tears and trauma for most of if not all of my youth. Although they are forgiven this is just what happened. For years I was broken but I knew at a young age, about 3 that there was something very wrong with this world. I saw the matrix right infront of me, just didn't know it yet. School & society didn't interest me. My birthday wishes when I was younger were for world peace, hope for all who suffer. My heart was always with the lord. I was raised as a Christian & went to Church. I lived in a bad area, in a very dangerous city & have seen a lot of evil. I dealt with many trials & tribulations like hunger & starvation. Do to all that has happened, it strengthened me, even if I didn't know it & was falling apart. I had protected myself from darkness & a cold personality, but my true nature was shown to my friends & those I loved. I wasn't evil towards people just didn't show any emotion. I'm just trying to live happy & make others happy & hopeful, spreading love, light, and positivity. Trying to help them with their mental struggles, & the demons that tried to drag them down to the Pitts of hell. When I was very young I remember VERY vividly in a dream still to this day, sitting in the lap of Jesus in heaven. That night I wept for my grandmother, I was in an abusive home. I see what he's done for me. In my teen years, I was lost, out of control, into witchcraft, not dark magic but just interested in the hidden/magical/ general occult, but he was still present. I was losing my mind, embracing insanity, going through 8 years of depression, tortured by anxiety, negative thoughts of things that don't matter. I was dealing with Psychosis, panic attacks, all sorts of mental issues. This all started before I became comforted by darkness, all I wanted to find was the truth, though I was met with false truths. I was extremely manic, even wanted to kill someone. I was sad & hated myself for so long, its seemed like I gave so much yet was being tormented. I was bullied in school at times, started to hate humanity. I was in constant emotional agony. I felt like cutting my arm & bleeding was more pleasurable then the emotions I was always feeling. I felt death was my friend, cause it would lead me back home. I hoped for death at times. I became very dark, numb, & cold. Started smoking bud, drinking, pre marital sex, just sinning. That demon of the past was trying to annihilate me. Even though I loved god & saw many great signs of his existence, unbeleif was there. I wanted to know more so I want to try to lucid dream, astral project, meditate, sun gaze, mirror gaze, all sorts of spirituality practices, and I fell away from him. Nothing evil, anyway...except for the tarot cards & occult. Since then I repented from those things, rebuked, & renounced them. I thought I was doing good for others casting things to help them..it usually only took from me. After awhile, feeling good from meditation, working out, eating healthy. I stopped. I fell into the deepest despair of insanity & questioned my everything I ever thought about. EVERYTHING! I was dead, I was begging, asking for help, pleading actually..to anyone that would listen. And my friend brought me back to the church & on a certain night I begged god for a sign of his existence so I may stop doubting him. And that night I had a dream & at the end of the dream of some random kid on a bike being chased by a madman in a car. I was in a mountain & inside was crystal clear waters, in those waters I was with two others that I don't remember the faces of, but a white horse that gave me an immense feeling of bliss & peace came to me from across the waters from the other. It seemingly smiled and the dream ended. When I woke up I was puzzled and asked my pastors & they believe as I did, that it was Jesus. And before this I kept seeing videos of hell pop up in my feed, so I watched them. I was trembling like I never had before. I was not walking with god as I should have, & I was convicted. I was compelled after thinking of all the possibility that there is no doubt that god exists, he is the lord Jesus Christ. I believe in his name as I always have & I am happy that he brought me back to him. It's funny my place of torture was called Bethel Road. I kid you not my youth was hell epitomized. He wanted me to fight with him. He made me strong & cold to this world for a reason, the cold heart turned into a burning anger towards evil, a rightious heart. My wrath and his shall be poured onto those evil entities when fighting with the lord in Armageddon. The world corrupted one of his angels, I was so pure when I was younger, & wanted to do nothing but help others & nurture. My innocence was stripped from me as I realized the harsh realities of this painful world. I have seen angels and great wonders by the lord. Crosses & angels in the sky, visions. I was having excruciating migraines that do didn't go away, asked for him to make them vanish & they did. This was when I was a kid & was younger & unprogrammed. All I saw was lies. I now have the wisdom by god to see that he brought me back in haste, so I may not be appointed to his wrath. Which is good cause I want to be with him. I detest this evil world, I have always looked to the sky longing for home. HEAR ME FOR MY MIDDLE NAME IS GABRIEL, THIS IS MY TESTIMONY OF MY EXPERIENCE IN LIFE AND WITH THE LORD! Through him my pains washed away, even though meditating helped slightly. It would do nothing in these days knowing judgement is here, I am glad I put my faith 200% back in Jesus Christ. If I was meditating and continuing with the new age practices I would be absolutely terrified, depressed, souly hopless knowing the end is here. But I am happier each day, through all my agony I have found paradise is Christ. Having a relationship with the one who created you. For those who read this & do not believe. DO YOU NOT SEE THE PROPHECY BEING FULFILLED BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES! ISRAEL & ARAB PEACE DEAL WAS APART OF PROPHECY! Israel just split, god is real. (Israel=Is real) IT'S UNFOLDING BEFORE US, THE CHURCH SHOULD BE TALKING MORE ABOUT REVELATIONS NOT AVOIDING IT, THAT'S FOOLISH! You don't want to be here for the coming Judgement, so accept Jesus now for I feel it in my spirit & very soul he is coming for his believers soon. Like almost now soon, I have this INNER KNOWING that he is indeed coming, even when I was not walking with him. At first I was scared to hear of revelation, then I remembered the rapture and Jesus's blessed promise. Don't let anybody strip you of his promise, his hope. If you are his, walk with him, have a relationship with him, love him, be obedient to his grace, fear not. See unlike the devils gifts..it won't cost you. Jesus's salvation is free. If you reject him, your heart will shatter as his did when you rejected him. You don't want to hear "I never knew you, depart from me!" But Jesus has a big heart, full of love & joy. He heals the broken hearted & those who weren't shown love. His mercy is an ever flowing ocean. Continue to pray everyday, speak to him, read his word, you will be comforted everyday. Teach revelations with the hope of the rapture. People will run away from Christ if it's doom and gloom, PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE IS THE TRUTH! We are the bride of Christ, the church. JESUS WOULDN'T LET SOMEONE BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF HIS BRIDE BEFORE THE WEDDING, which is what the tribulation is. Believe NOW and subscribe to God before its too late! REPENT FOR THE TIME OF HIS GATHERING OF THE CHURCH IS NEAR! BE RIGHTEOUS IN CHRIST! Most importantly accept you are seperated from God because of your sin. No amount of good works or anything will save you. Only Yeshua's Salvation. Accept this free gift & believe that Jesus died on the cross, took your punishment on calvary, that he rose on the third day, & ascended into heavan. Choose to walk with the lord, call upon him, ask for his holy spirit. It is by the glory of god I didn't take my life. I thank the lord for everything, gratitude=blessings. In Jesus name bless anyone who reads this, help them see your presence lord, father god let them feel the holy spirit, & be called to come to you. Let them pick up their cross, follow & worship your mighty name. In the holy name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! I've been through it all, yet the way I was lead to was god, recently. The lord chose you, chose to suffer for YOUR sins, so we may not perish but have eternal life. Repent and turn away from your sins, change your mind, walk with god, speak to god, have a relationship with Christ & his word will guide you. Pray that you may be counted worthy to escape the coming devastation. Our holy father will save us, you must believe this. Let no one try to take away his promise, we have been faithful. We already are under demonic spiritual warefare. We are not appointed to his wrath, but rapture. Love God, he loves you to give his only begotten son to pay the wages of sin which is death. If you accept Jesus's free gift of salvation you are redeemed. How to accept? Say this: "I believe in the father, son, & the holy spirit. Sin seperated me from you, I believe deep in my heart that Jesus is the son of god, that he died on the cross for our sins, rose on the third day, & ascended into heavan. I turn away from sin & will take up my cross and follow you lord, obey your will for me. Jesus I trust in you. Amen" ruclips.net/video/eBS1jOC3olo/видео.html Jesus is awaiting you with open arms, call upon his name.
Just realizing how practical thinking they portray Thomas during the wedding ceremony.. Which makes sense, considering the part in the Bible where the other deciples came to Thomas to tell him Jesus had risen. Thomas said he wouldn't believe unless he saw it and was able to put his fingers in the holes in his hands and side.

God bless!
Yes - I love that you pointed this out! I believe this is one of the most powerful scenes in all of Season 1!
Absolutely essential to hear that conversation! Everything in this series is connected. Love ❤️ it Laura!
Lol..I should have read more 1st bc I just mentioned this as well. I love that part!
That scene always makes me cry because of the parallel.
...because He knew that this one semi-public miracle would begin the journey towards his death was so telling.....
I totally agree with you. He knew that this was the start of his public ministry that would lead to his crucifixion.
Oh yes! That was amazing. This is my favorite episode of the season
Jesus is our cornerstone also
I love how she says “I bet he’s handsome” but scripture indicates he wasn’t much to look at (Isaiah 53). But it describes his true beauty, and his sacrifice, his perfection, and his love.
"For he grew up before him like a young plant,
and like a root out of dry ground;
he had no form or majesty that we should look at him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him."
-Isaiah 53
Peter had an amazing wife for sure. Story has it that after Jesus death his wife wrote him a letter to encourage his faith and not to deny Jesus a second time. That was how Peter got enough courage and was crucified even facing down.
This episode tears me up. Here his mother pushes the button on the count-down clock on his life. Once He goes public, he can't undo it. The rest is history. It led quickly to his torture & horrendous death. I'm a mess every time I see this episode because I know what's to come. "I am ready, Father." Again, it rocks me to my core. He accepts it.
My favorite behind the scene is on the app. And it was about how they did the fish in the boat scene. Miracle in a miracle.
also, one of my favorite parts of this episode has to do with Abner.
🤯🙏
Niice spot, ma'am. Thank you. :)
Heart
Leonardo, I love your idea that there was mystery in the way that Jesus turned the water to wine, but there is another bit of symbolism to me. Just as the lowliest people (shepherds) were the first to know that Jesus was born, so it was at the marriage in Cana; the servants were the first to know that Jesus had made a public miracle. Also, the jars were for purification under Jewish law, which means they could NEVER have something in them except the purification water. When Jesus chose those vessels in which to create His miracle, He was saying that He had come to do a new thing in the world. So many symbols.
Thank you for all these information. I am learning so much.
Me too! Best investment I ever made😁
Daniel that’s my prayer as well that Leonardo will realize that Jesus is the Living Water That First will quench his thirst of being forgiven for his sins, and then accepting Jesus as his Savior so that he will never “thirst” again! Leonardo, I pray for you often to see the Light And accept His shed blood on the cross for you !
Can’t you see by his face? He’s already in. He just doesn’t know it yet. ✝️
Daniel thank you for your investment. You and the others have had a hand in my rebirth. 💟✝️💟
@@nickyashton8821 thank you.
Leo...the actor that plays the part of Simon (Peter) is a real Jew and lives in Israel! That's why he's so real!!!!
Agree!
Jonathan (Jesus) is a born again believer in Christ Jesus .
Ran into this by accident.. I do like the live reaction
Fishers of men…
You’re so right about that..
Open confession: He’s everything!!
Leonardo, I love watching your face while you watch the episodes! Such joy and happiness!
I have subscribed to your channel and thank you, for bringing the Truth and Light to the world!!!
my favorite part of this is watching you groove to the opening theme song each time! lol I love it
This is all I want to watch!! So thankful!! Thank u Jesus!! ❤️
:) ( greetings from Austria by the way)
I absolutely love the cutting of the stone comparison to Jesus doing his first public miracle. Both once done can never go back or start over.
1:01:11 It's kinda beautifully profound to me that the last thing that the Bible records Mary saying was, "Do whatever He (Jesus) tells you."
Carpenter, winemaker and creator of the universe! Architect of all things seen and unseen! Jesus!
It is good to ask questions and seek understanding...especially from Jesus.
They have behind the scenes interviews on the app. They are AH-MAZING! Listening to the personal stories of the actors will move you to tears.
Did you catch the correlation of stone crafting and what was happening with Jesus? I love it!!! Christ knew what He was doing..what He was starting! He still did it! Not just for His mother but for us!!!!! Praise Him!
Leo...the significance of Yeshua NOT wanting to go public is because it means the journey to his torture and eventual death!
By the way I refer to that meeting as " Nic at Nite"! ;)
Ready for episode 6 my friend. Love hearing your commentary
I pray that the Chosen gives you a new view on who Jesus was, and helps you understand he has always been for you. God bless yall!
Lro, have you watched the piolot episode, The Shepard? If not you can watch on youtube. It won't spoil anything and It is a must see.
I love your reaction! Can't wait for you to reach the rest of the eps and especially when season 2 comes out!
It is evident that God is wooing your heart Leonardo. Amen!!!
It's not that they can't say no to Mary, but that Mary won't ask God to do something against His will.
@Isaac Welch The woman that God chose to bring about the incarnation of Salvation isn't special?
@Isaac Welch No one believes she's a god.
So did you ever become a Catholic?
The commentary when he turns the water into wine..the granite comparison means so much. He know that when he does this, it's taking the next level to him giving his life to us. How hard that must have been, can you imagine? Being human & knowing so much? Knowing you will give your pain and life for all others. I am so thankful for his sacrifice!
59:57 that's where my goosebumps and tears started both at same time.
I used to have those two emotions at the same time whenever I read that exact portion in the Bible too.
What a women Mother Mary was...
Bible's most beautiful and sacrificial lady it's Jesus's Mother.
Ave Maria.
I appreciate YOUR appreciation of the cinematography as I am always mentioning it to others- top notch filmmakers
Thank you so much!
I love your comments and reactions, Leo, thank you for doing this.
Yes, his mom ask Him and even though He said it wasn’t His time.... He did it for His mom. Then “ Doubting Thomas” was witness to this miracle.
Powerful marian line: "THe most powerful and importnt person that I know will be there. My mom.
I know I am commenting now, but its because I stumble upon your site. I'm so happy to see your expressions on this amazing show.
@Leonardo Torres music your commentary had me laughing!😂
I'm loving every episode of this CHOSEN series.
Awe, God bless you Leo. Greetings from Northern Ireland UK 🇬🇧 xxx
It is not unusual to watch it 3,4,5 times. Its that good.
You must read the gospel man, as you go..great reaction man.
This series is so good. I've really been enjoying your reactions to it.
The reason why I think the first public miracle was to make wine from water, was because of their prayer... Bringer of the fruit of the vine (Wine)... To say: "Well, here I AM"
Ahhhh that 333... 😂😂😂 "is somebody cutting Onions"... loving your reactions Mr. Torres
The colours are amazing, i wanted to hop into the show and live the life. I love this show :)
You right! The scene between Simon and Eden is so beautiful ❤️. Great job 👍 guys 👏.! In the chosen show is hard to pick favorite. I love them all.
55:42-55:52 *Like Jesus* (as written in the Bible)
Wow, amazing question to ask! God bless
My favorite are all of them… you can see many promos on RUclips. I tell you, this series has totally changed my life. This made me realize that Our Savior was not someone that was hard to please.
You're seemingly very perceptive. I pray His word touches you through this experience. Bless you, brother.
You are so good brother and very understanding too! God loves you and so do I.
Tammara Highley Good point. As a rabbi he knows more than the others about Jewish customs and the culture portrayed in the series.
Oh my
this episode stands out
beautifully
I’m not sure if this was already answered, but on the main page of the Chosen app under bonus content they have cast interviews.
“ It’s good to ask questions. To seek understanding .” Only in ✝ ❤
Yes, The Chosen app has a lot of behind the scenes and extra interviews.
Just go to there page there's a lot of behind the scenes and interviews. Godbless!
I feel you my brother. The love of a woman so devoted that she says, "Go!" Where is such a woman nowadays?
Today….most women are the grandchildren of liberated women from the 60s and early 70s…..unfortunately. 😕. It would be awesome if women today loved being a woman!
Thank you for your comments. God bless you.
Non Christian. I reckon that title could read Highly Favored son of the King most High.
The Spirit reveals all Truth when we invite Jesus into our hearts.
@@howdyyall417 yes i agree and pray. I even stopped following him as i was having trouble seeing that same title and also that building a platform on this music that is made for worshipping our King not for wordly music appreciation. Oh dear we pray for all the lost to be saved
Non Christian? Not for long if not already .. Jesus is clearly working in your life .. God bless you ❤
15:05 = Reaction starts ❤🙏
Behold the best wedding ever on earth
They are going to watch Jesus to become fishers of men...
"ahhh ooo eeee aahhhhh" lol john burned nichodemus
may The Lord open the eyes of those who don't see so they'll see how much He truly loves em in Jesus name amen
You need to see how they made the fish go in the boat...that was amazing in itself
Is it just me but I loved that Jesus had jokes about andrew’s dancing. I hope he was like that 😂
Just realizing how practical thinking they portray Thomas during the wedding ceremony.. Which makes sense, considering the part in the Bible where the other deciples came to Thomas to tell him Jesus had risen. Thomas said he wouldn't believe unless he saw it and was able to put his fingers in the holes in his hands and side.
I too have watched this many, many times and like Laura, each time I watch it I see something new.
Oh noooooo. I missed the liveeeee. Iwas waiting for so longgg😔
