The Philippine food culture developed from the US Military sharing their rations during WWll. That why it has kinda strange things like the spaghetti with hot dogs...
conanbarbrien You sound like you are young. During WWll, the Philippine natives were at the mercy of the Japanese who were starving them. My great uncle was one of MacArthurs generals over there during that time. My great uncle, General Emmons, also established hospitals, orphanages , and especially swimming centers for those orphans in the Forties. I was very lucky to meet one of those former orphans about twenty years ago. Partially due to MacArthur, this young boy was able to be on the 1960 Rome Olympics team from Manila. He won the Bronze medal there. So, now you have a bit of history to help you with understanding Jollibee !!
I was watching Anthony Bourdain No Reservations, an episode filmed in Los Angeles and he introduced me to Jollibee. I believe I went to the location you went to, it was closest at the time. Try the Aloha Yum (burger) and the Halo Halo ...

Earl Scheib Paint- Company history Founded by Earl Scheib (February 28, 1908 - February 29, 1992)[2] in Los Angeles in 1937,[3] the company grew quickly following World War II and by 1975 had branches in Germany and England, all company-owned, with Scheib manufacturing his own paint through a wholly owned subsidiary. Born in San Francisco on February 28, 1908, Earl moved to Southern California with his family when he was 10. A graduate of Los Angeles High School, Earl never went to college. Instead, he got a job as a gas station attendant changing oil and tires for General Petroleum Co. in the late 1920s. Not long after, he went into business with his own gas station on the corner of Whitworth and Fairfax. His neighbors soon began asking if he knew anyone who could paint their cars. So, each night, after closing time, Earl would paint cars in the station's lube garage. It didn't take long for word of Earl's painting service to spread, and soon there was more paint business than the station could handle. As a result, he sold his station, rented a "shack" on the corner of Pico and La Brea (Los Angeles), and in 1937 opened the first Earl Scheib Paint and Body. His philosophy was "work hard, be on time, and don't worry about how much you make." It was a belief that underscored the way he ran his business.[4] Earl Scheib's paint-coating systems were used by its company-owned paint and collision repair shops. The paint also was sold to original equipment manufacturers and architectural construction firms.

Next time you get a meal, get the Palabok Fiesta Noodles (with lemon juice), Amazing Aloha Burger, corned beef or spam slider sandwiches, and the Halo-halo dessert. Be sure to mix the noodles. And never fail to mix the halo-halo thoroughly so that all the ingredients blend with the partly melted shaved ice slurry.

My husband and I watch your videos every day, even if there aren't any new ones. Keep up the good work. Much love to ya, brother.
Damn, when I suggested this to Adam I didn't think he'd hit it so quick. For those who follow Adam's videos, this Jollibee is located across the street from the Wal-Mart he went to a while back for his supplies. The Jollibee location itself used to be home to Anaheim's Chris & Pitts barbecue joint. You can still find their sauce in many so cal supermarkets. I ate at Jollibee once, and I thought it was OK. Kept saying I'd go back but never did. Love the pineapple juice option. Adam, one more suggestion for ya: The Hat in Brea, on state college near Brea Mall. They're mainly known as a Pastrami joint, but they have great burgers, huge portions, and really good chili.
Fairly new to your channel, but ive been catching up the past few weeks. And love it here! These local food spot videos have been great! Sure does give me a list of new spots to try next time im in that area! Jollibee is delicious, and the videos usually get a ton of views! You did the chicken correct, there would've been a million comments otherwise. Hot dogs and a sweet ketchup in the spaghetti. The pie is delicious too! Have a good day!
The best technique for eating the Chickenjoy and spaghetti combo is to alternate bites of the chicken with the spaghetti. The savory taste and crunch of the fried chicken perfectly balances the sweet and cheesy taste of the spaghetti. It's surprising how well they go together, it can be addictive!
It's easy to make. Just buy a DOLE pineapple juice. The ratio is 2:1, pineapple juice and water. Put sugar according to your liking, ice and mix them all together
The force is with you Adam, your "Mmmm!" When eating the pie sounded just like Yoda. May the force always be with you, may you always prosper and my you always be well kind adam. Take care.
WOO - love your videos. I love history like you. Thanks for some positivity in this negative world. Again, if you want to come film AK, I will accommodate once you get here.
What!, there's a Jollibee at Anaheim. You got the highly recommended items at Jollibee. All of the items are really good, and if you got a craving of fried chicken, peach mango pie, pineapple juice as a thirst quencher. The filipino spaghetti is a great combo for the fried chicken. Customers who have tried Jollibee will always get the ChickenJoy and order gravy on the side. All nationalities of all walks of life will get the ChickenJoy with gravy and whatever sides they want. They say ChickenJoy is the best compared to other fried chicken fast food joints. And the 8-bucket ChickenJoy with free gravy is pretty cheap meal.

Not that strange. I've had it in the US
They have Spaghetti-o’s with cut up wieners in markets in the US..
@@marjoriemargel1567 Is this the same General Emmons who was essentially the Governor of Hawaii after the Pearl Harbor attacks?
The Pacific Islanders turned our "rations" into world famous dishes. Look at how Hawaii, the Philippines, American Samoa and Guam treat SPAM.
I was watching Anthony Bourdain No Reservations, an episode filmed in Los Angeles and he introduced me to Jollibee. I believe I went to the location you went to, it was closest at the time. Try the Aloha Yum (burger) and the Halo Halo ...
The Jollibee🍍drink is so good! Reminds me of you-know-what at DL. Another great video.👍🏼🖤🖤🖤
@conanbarbrien not just any drink. They're talking about a specific drink, dude. Calm down.
Dole-whip! Yummmy
Man, I got to stop watching these at midnight. It makes me want to eat everything I see and I'm going to be 700 pounds by the end of this series!
The Red Ribbon Bakery is very good too.
Fried pies the way Micky-D's used 2 do.
Hi Adam. Your videos are so informative, funny and you have a great personality. Love watching them. Can’t wait till you return to Disneyland. Love from Australia. 🇦🇺🇦🇺😀😀💓💓
Dude, you're making me wanna head over to Jollibee in Jersey City right now for some chicken, rice with gravy, and a peach mango pie!
Heck yea!

Earl Scheib Paint-
Company history
Founded by Earl Scheib (February 28, 1908 - February 29, 1992)[2] in Los Angeles in 1937,[3] the company grew quickly following World War II and by 1975 had branches in Germany and England, all company-owned, with Scheib manufacturing his own paint through a wholly owned subsidiary.
His philosophy was "work hard, be on time, and don't worry about how much you make." It was a belief that underscored the way he ran his business.[4]
Earl Scheib's paint-coating systems were used by its company-owned paint and collision repair shops. The paint also was sold to original equipment manufacturers and architectural construction firms.
@@TheDailyWoo some earl scheib locations operating now though the original company went defunct in 2010.. ?????
Time for Vic Tanny!
I’m glad to see you going to the various restaurants. I’m enjoying your reaction to them all I’ve yet to try Jollibee. One day, I hope!! ❤️
I love Jollibee have only ate there in the Philippines, my favorite is fried chicken and spaghetti
9:25 Well, there's no wrong way, in my book. Welcome to the "Dipping Fried Chicken in Gravy" fan club, Adam.
I finally learned my lesson. Wait until after the video to eat. Otherwise I wind up hungry and having second breakfast like a hobbit.
I always wanted to try that place have one here in the San Fernando Valley in the city of Panorama City...... Looks good brother I love the shirt by the way Jason And Freddy Lol 😂 keep them coming 👍👍
Have you ever tried spinning your fork around in the spaghetti?
10:40. A cornucopia of sound. I hear children, crow birds, a quail, various wildlife.
The sound of peace
My palate was also surprised when as a youngster I went to my Filipino friend's house and he served me spaghetti with hot dog. I didn't know what it was, but the flavors seemed to get along well. But U missed the balut: fertilized chicken or duck egg.
Nice! We love Jollibee! That sweet spaghetti 🤓
Oh yea!
I have never been to a Jollibee. Looks good. Thanks for sharing!
do panda express! chow main, orange chicken, cream cheese rangoons mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Panda Express sucks
Adam should try Sam Woo BBQ Restaurant. That's an OG authentic Chinese restaurant that started in the LA Area in the Chinese enclaves like Monterey Park, and there's one in Irvine. Cash only, the duck and BBQ char siu pork are good. PE is like Taco Bell since its everywhere in the US.
We always get the walnut shrimp, seems underrated. It's so good.
trdrav4 there’s one in Artesia/Cerritos which is closest to him
Marjorie Margel
Too bad, that’s in your area.
In my area, it’s already steaming hot
Jollibee! Masarap! Very cool place I been there a good amount of times and will grab some today after this, fun stuff my man!
Jollibee's chicken is even better than KFC or Popeye's. There I said it.
Wingstop is king
No way! Popeyes is on a different level than KFC and Jollibee
@@iamthebobs6996 Popeye's is just too greasy.
What about Juan Pollo is there any comparison there.
Hmmmm... I honestly put them at the same level. Max’s Fried Chicken is next to level tho.
I was waiting until you did a vlog trying Jollibee! I love their pies, pineapple juice, and chicken! Gotta have the chicken with gravy and rice 🍚
Did you hear about the Big Boy Statue Kidnappings...…...some kind of advertisement gag.Your vids make me work out more....thanks!!!
They’re supposed to build one of these restaurants in my City.
The first time I've eaten Jollibee what's at Mindanao Philippines love the chicken and now I found one in Arizona been there twice love it I'm surprised they didn't give you rice gravy and rice taste good enjoy Adam and what you ate at jollibee's it's very very common in the Philippines
Ate at Jollibee in cayan de Oro in Mindanao
my first Jollibee was in Manila, but also went in Vigan and Davao city... so good and nice that there is one here in AZ now!
I had it first in Manila at the Mall of Asia. I just can't like it .
Small tiny gravy?! Lol wat would you call the gravy that is given in the philippines? Almost non existent?! Lol... funny phils is home of jolibee but the amount of gravy they give there is a joke...
Love this content! Thank you! I need to visit lots of these places...
I've ate there a few times visiting my Filipino in-Laws. great food!!!
Jollibees!! My mom (she's from the Phillipines) loves that place!
I'm not sure what made me think of this, because you haven't done it in a long time. But every time I crush an empty water bottle, I think of you, Adam. And it makes me smile. I enjoy your videos. My husband and I watch your videos every day, even if there aren't any new ones. Keep up the good work. Much love to ya, brother.
You are now officially a Filipino
No he needs to eat pag pag then he’s filipino officially
@@eddieruiz562 he needs some adobo too
Needs to try balut
Nope, as long as he tried "balut".
I thought fried chicken and spagetti is an American thing not Filipino. It's like Sushi is a Japanese thing not German food.
That location is a old Chris n Pitts bbq restaurant still three Chris n Pitts locations left in so cal
My first time eating at Jollibee in the USA some years back was at that place when I visited my relatives in Anaheim.
I was looking in the comments for someone to mention Chris & Pitts as the old location. I miss their food but at least the bbq sauce is being sold.
You could make better spaghetti at home and make a better burger at home .your better off going to your local kfc for chicken.
Adam, every morning when I watch this series, you make me soooo hungry :)
Adam, if you go back, please share your reaction to Halo Halo
I just found out there’s one of these here in Houston. Now I gotta go try it!
Your facial expressions when you try new food makes me laugh so hard. Love your food videos. Please keep them coming
I wanna try that pineapple drink, would be so refreshing on a hot day here in Dallas!
T B Jolibee will open in Plano soon. It is on Preston Rd.
It's easy to make. Just buy a DOLE pineapple juice. The ratio is 2:1, pineapple juice and water. Put sugar according to your liking, ice and mix them all together
Try the spaghetti too
Affordable and very tasty...jollibee
The force is with you Adam, your "Mmmm!" When eating the pie sounded just like Yoda. May the force always be with you, may you always prosper and my you always be well kind adam. Take care.
wait.....euclid street, sound familiar
Almost every vid has been a picture perfect day.
Sorry but I don't like the food here. There are other restaurants that are even better. This one is not that good.
That combo looks like somethin i would come up with at 2AM a lil drunk. Looks tasty though!
I like a ChickenJoy. I’m from P.I.
Adam, you can take the mask off when you're addressing the camera. Your viewers won't get the Covid . . . I promise! 😆😆😆
Hello: The Park is a beautiful setting...So many things to see in California, I'm 3000 miles away. I will be happy with Virginia, WV, Tennessee and North Carolina.
Only you, Adam, could have all of us sitting here watching you eat, and be thoroughly entertained. I love your spontaneous banter. I'm from the East Coast. I love hearing about these YUMMY places on the West Coast. I have never heard of this chain, but you're surely enjoying your meal.🤠😁💛
One of the few RUclips videos of a person on their first time at Jolibee eating the chicken correctly! Congratulations! I get upset seeing some first timers not even opening the gravy! Clueless!!!
That chicken with the gravy on it is 100% money in the bank delicious!!!
The spaghetti is good too! Love me some Jolibee!
The closest one to me is about 35 miles away. 100% worth the trip!! There needs to be a lot more of their restaurants around the US. They rock!!!
Spaghetti and chicken is a "normal" combo for Filipinos, especially kids. Love the Chickenjoy
