Very mature young dude. If you didn't mention he was a junior champ I would have thought he's much older. More like a top 500 ATP. Fascinating. Well done Simon. Your dedication and perseverance is second to none. Keep it up and thanks for the upload. Super fun. M
The power level difference between s.o. who is ranked 1000+ and needs to play qualies at ITF's being already in his mid-20ties and a recent Junior GS winner who will be a Top-50 player in one, two years is obvious.
Former junior grand slam champions don’t necessarily become an ATP player. They sometimes fadeaway with injury and other problems . Future is not set for anyone especially when they are young
Lmao junior GS does not guarantee one or two years to enter top50 even in the wta in fact most of the junior GS winners still play itf/challengers at that point
Thanks for posting this, Simon. You've pointed out in other videos (e.g., practice with Sinner) that you don't always extend through your forehands. Alex consistently blasted his forehands out to his targets. It can tough to find the right balance of finesse and power that's more your game. It's really fun watching you progress.
Seriously powerful player, you seem to be right there, and like you were a little off, hope to see another match where all your cylinders are firing, even so super close and great point play for us to watch!
I saw this kid play in Antwerp, he's an absolute beast. Obviously you were going to go out as an underdog. I don't think it's such a lopsided result given what he's playing. Keep pushing yourself Simon.
from what ive seen the big difference was on the serve and the short rallies, the guy has somehow more power and hitting the serve and serve + 1 more aggresive than you, however great effort and well played in that 2nd set!!
Thanks for the video Simon. Can you please specify which string and tension Alex used for the game? He's generating effortless power. I guess could be multifilament or some hybrid setup?
#WOW .. Huge talented youngster !! Serve & forehand flood strength & confidence .. * even the pancake resisted to get overcooked against the heat of his footwork 😂 Thanks for sharing 🇬🇷
The difference is massive...#1 junior vs a mid 20s journeyman!!! Whats the difference??? Is it the training??? Of course it is! If Simon had the same exact training as this guy would simon be better???
This guy qualified for the European Open (ATP *250) last week and played a close couple of sets with the world no.56. Impressive stuff.
ATP250
Impressive!
Like thats like tf. Almost as good as me 😅
😊

Last week, he beat Medjedovic, who's #102 in the world. His last name also sounds like some kind of tech start-up, which is cool.
@@AdamLischinsky Amazing! Thanks for letting me know. He plays his game like he runs a top tech company too! :)
Cheers.
If he's the top junior, he is most certainly a top 500 player.
@@KyleBogdanMusic nope,he was 700-800 before the ATP 250 where he reached main draw, now he is around 680
Hes now atp 400 and will go in top 400 next week.

@@ST-ek6lf That’s right, but not in this case. Alexander Blockx will definitely make it, no doubt about that.

think its just to much pressure
The difference in intensity and power was clear. Great matched!

Look away volley....priceless

Wow, Alex has got some great technique
Tecnifibre racket & Lacoste top. Must be a Medvedev fan! Seems a great player
Crazy thing is, it only takes one or two loose shots, and it can change the course of a match very quickly. 99% of the match can be so so close.
I actually met him the N1 junior in the world Alexander Blockkx three years ago in an amateur tournament in Brussels
Gz on the sponsorship dude! Get that bag lol
Awesome video Simon keep it up👊🏻🎾
Simon, a little of topic. But could you do a short review of the Stiga Supreme racket? :)
Yes sir!! Will do it asap 😃
Great practise for sure !
This guy was serving perfectly, not much you can do !
I’d like to know how you are able to edit the scoreboard into your video. Since there’s no umpire, you mention the scores as the games go.

Tecnifibre black code 1.32

Well at least you had a Nice lunch with that breadstick uit of the first set Simon 😂
do you think you're funny, clown??🤡🤡🤡
nice match thanks for vid
simon goat
Already three years ago he was good !
insane pace
Stiga is a tabletennis brand. Did they enter the tennis market?
Yes sir! Will post a racket review video this week 😃👊
he's omega strong, what racquet (technifibre) is he using?
Brutal
Cool !
Nice! Let's pick up the footwork a bit 🙂
It seemed like he didn’t care, but maybe his ankle was hurting
Actually tried playing with ankle untaped for the 1st time since my injury, so was a little cautious with it :/
@@Simon.Freund Hope you feel better/stronger soon 💪💪
Why do you think he is better than you despite being much younger ? Talent or intelligence or both ?
Разве не Алькарас номер 1 у юниоров?😅 Или он автоматически исчезает из юниоров, попав во взрослый тур, несмотря на возраст?)
Yes I believe so, lost his junior points
Tack! how old is he?
You could just search it up, but I'm here for you. He is born 05 and he is 18 years old. Ha det fint
He played very flat and fast. On this Court o would play the same way.. Flat and fast.. You were still in the Clash Modus with more Spin
Imagine now hahaha
Woah
Too much pace
That guy is a baller but you still played some high quality tennis Simon
