- We've all seen the fancy long haul business class offerings from the major airlines. But what are they like on the shorter regional routes? And how do the American carriers compare to the likes of flying Virgin Australia to Bali?
Join me as I fly from Miami to the Caribbean Island of Aruba on American Airlines in Business Class. It's on an American Airlines Boeing 737 with a standard 2 by 2 narrow body business class.
This flight review covers the entire American Airlines experience from boarding to landing. I include the AA business class seat, the inflight dining, entertainment and some stunning views out the window as we fly out of Miami and straight over the top of Cuba.
Then when we arrive I've included a bit of footage from our 2 days stay on this beautiful island.
By way of comparison here is my review of Virgin Australia from Melbourne to Bali: • Virgin Australia Inter...
The best bit about this trip though is that I got to share with my brother Sacha who has his own travel related RUclips channel. Here's the link: / @thepart-timetourists
Make sure you check it out!
Thanks for watching and happy travels
Dennis

“Double-parked in no time” - lol! Love your humor
Here’s to one sensational video!
Never too early to have a drink on a Caribbean vacation
Not a bad way to spend a few days! I hope you and your brother had a great experience!
Thank you, Dennis Bunnik. It looked like you had a very memorable trip.
Did Sacha dirty leaving that blooper in 😂
Big props to the changes being made at AA and delta in recent years. I’ve seen a huge uptick in quality of the staff, food, entertainment and even the seats themselves in the American carriers. Europe should really be taking note. It’s absolutely ridiculous that airlines like KLM don’t plan to introduce the A350 until 2026 and beyond!
Wow that looked much better than I expected. It’s a shame you couldn’t visit the lounge in Miami. Even the AA business class lounge at MIA is beautiful. I love visiting Miami it is such an amazing city and the new Brightline train up to Orlando directly from airport to airport is best in America. So handy for going to Disney without renting a car. Highly suggest trying it if you’re at all a Disney fan.
very enjoyable, Dennis. Thanks.
As always I love trip reports
Another amazing video Dennis every time I get a notification that you've uploaded a video I always watch it. America is on my bucket list. If you get chance visit Portugal and the Algarve especially vale da Lobo the villas are amazing
Awesome trip!
Great video and where can I get one of those suitcase straps ? If not available maybe it’s time to launch your own merchandise 🤞
Great vids !!! 🔥
Thank you for sharing a cool trip!!😊
Love your vlogs ...
You do have access to the American Flagship lounge if you hold Gold or better frequent flyer status with Qantas and guess what? You can access those and Admirals lounges on arrival too🎉
I've been to a few of the Caribbean countries, I would recommend going to Cayo Coco in Cuba, which is great for beach lovers as it had some the best white sandy beaches I've seen and of course amazing Cuban rum.
Nice job 😮 Dennis Bunnik 👏 great job mate 👍 🇦🇺
I enjoyed watching this video. I will be doing this exact trip later in the year! Good research! Any suggestions on accommodation?
Good video with ya bro X
Nice! the food looks better than expected. I travel often for pleasure, so I don't think it is wrong to crack a gin tonic regardless of the time :D

ka rah be an - Australian - Ka rib be an America - noice review
The closest thing I am to a frequent flyer is with American.
They get me there in one piece, fares are often fairly reasonable and that’s what matters to me.
As a former tour guide in the USA my dealings with AA were always good , they were definitely one of the most amenable airlines to deal with .
You’re just drawn to the Netherlands. IMO, Bonaire is the nicest of the ABCs, but they’re all nice and all different from each other.
Great video as always Dennis and I do watch them religiously, but I do wish you’d please NOT FF through the take offs. I love seeing them at normal speed. For some reason everybody does that now.
Great video Dennis! WOW!🤩 First off a trip from MIA-AUA and with American Airlines in International Business Class has to be cool. 😎 I wish that you’d flown on one of the American 737 MAX 8 planes instead of that 737-800 as they fly a LOT out of MIA and I expected it to be a 737 MAX 8 odd… Anyways it was still a cool experience and great video to be certain, also are you still in the Caribbean and if so are you going to visit St. Martin? SXM is AWESOME and I don’t think you’ve been yet. Also are you still in the USA 🇺🇸 let me know I’d love to maybe see you if you fly my way… 😊
Cheers mate 🥂 you and your brother made a great video! 😅
Caleb’s Aviation
Also I flew the American Airlines 737 MAX 8 and compared it to their older 737-800 and here’s the link to my review of those flights the 737 MAX 8 🆚 737-800 plz check it out: ruclips.net/video/omZNTqyUcq4/видео.htmlsi=zL5IfF5H_qbbN08H
The ABC islands are amazing!
Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao are unreal
Soooooo. How did it compare to your virgin flight to Bali?
You two could be twins. Except for the hair ( no offence intended) Nice flight though 😊
You mean "First Class".. Instead of business class.. Since that is a "American First Class product"
I have been to Aruba 👍 go scuba diving!
Nope! These are sold as Business on Caribbean and international routes.
@@jasoncassady6286 True! 😅
I've been business class twice with Caribbean and it was woeful both times. A bigger seat but NO extras and a non operating tail engine on the 737. No dramas until you land and need air conditioning in the fuselage 😢
American legacy carriers need to allow you to purchase baggage with your ticket especially "in the GDS" as travel agents would doubtless be aware of. At the airport seems inefficient.
You have to option to pay for checked bags at check in online or on the App. AA and all US carriers are purposefully moving away the GDSs wherever possible to avoid all the associated fees they charge the carrier.
Pro Tip... Curacao is way nicer than Aruba....
great way to start a week , pot of coffee, a video from Dennis, it will be a great week!🙂🙂
Aruba is on my list now!
It's one of the best recommended airline in the world.. small and smart plane for a quick venture...
To Jamaica from Miami and back, short and sweet but had a good meal and the service was excellent
Hi Dennis .
Wow... swimming with pelicans !. That would be so cool.
Looks like yy and your brother had a gpod tome, nor only on the flight, but in the Carribbean as well
we love american, we are platinum pro this year, they have a great loyality program
Hope u enjoyed the Caribbean Dennis
American does a good job on First class, but the economy class is average at best.
MIA is a mess of an airport
Hi, Dennis!!❤❤❤❤
I haven't flown on AA. I should try it once shouldn't I?
Went to Aruba for my honeymoon in 2010. Would very much like to go back.
Great vid. The flight looked better than I expected! I enjoy the food during flight reviews, and the whole food service! Also love the lounge too - missed the Miami lounge but ah well
Fantastic trip report Dennis!😸
"THAT WAS A GREAT FLIGHT" he says as he gets completely ignored walking off the flight. 🤣😅
😂😂😂
Hi Dennis, yes, flew AA from Barbados to Miami, paid two J tickets, but one was downgraded to economy ( still waiting for the refund, fat chance if you are a foreigner to them) PS : is Dutch still spoken on Aruba, if so you and bro should fit right in. Cheers. OV
I wouldn’t call something ‘Caribbean’ if it’s American 😒.
Bit of an insult to my heritage.
I would retitle this as American Airlines to the Caribbean.
But if you want Caribbean, look At Caribbean Airlines
not sure I follow. Are you insulted because you are American and you don't think I should be calling a flight to a Caribbean destination Caribbean or are you Caribbean and think I am appropriating that name for an American Airlines flight. I can't keep up. You will notice that I actually point to the AA logo in the thumbnail hence pointing out that it is American Airlines. I thought that would have made it clear enough.
@@DennisBunnikTravelsIt was perfectly clear to me Dennis 😊Also I’d love to see a Caribbean Airlines review maybe on one of their new 737 MAX 8s yay 😁
It was perfectly clear to me too. 👍🏽
A great way to build $35 TRILLION in debt, for sure!
